CHAPTER 7: TEACHER/STUDENT RELATIONSHIP

DAWSON

Yeah! I have been very secretive those few months Zane was away. Brix was busy with supervising Zane's business. The two guys were busy also with their respective partners.

I was busy concentrating with my work too until I got an offer to be a part of the faculty. Just for the substitute of the music teacher for the semester.

She was a friend of mine recommended, I accepted it. I was supposed to be teaching but I got bigger opportunity where I am now.

"You know that I got sub to a university this last semester, right?" I said, they nodded. "Well, that person I met was my student in my music class. When we first met, we never mentioned about personal matters until we saw each other on my first day in the university."

"Wow, small world indeed." Brix smirked. "So, it was forbidden because you were her teacher. Teacher-student relationship." I nodded.

"At first, we tried our best to keep our distance but she already got my attention." I smiled. "It was worth it, you know."

"Hey, semester ended so it would be okay now." Zane reminded me.

"Yes, it was but they wanted me to extend another semester. I do not know man. I do not want a relationship to keep hidden." I feel sad thinking I might lose her.

"Talk to the dean and tell him what's inside your mind and do not forget your heart too." Brix suggested. "Wait, she is not 18 only, right?"

"Of course not, three years younger than us." I said taking a sip of my green tea.

"Well, good luck with that. Another one down into a relationship thing." Zane said, shaking his head.

Ended our lunch date with the guys came fast after our little conversation. Reached my house, I was in my living room of my house. Recalling what Zane said, yes, the five of us just playing around with women but not into relationship. Mark, first fell in love got married and kids while Justin got engage.

I never expected my own either. I love my life being single but it got twist. I smiled thinking how we met that beautiful human being that day. We were in the coffee shop. She was in front of me ordering some coffee. I never saw her face but damn, she has a killer body with a curvy ass. Her height was three inches short than me. White complexion, blondie hair in pony tail style.

After the barista got her orders, she was agitated. Going through her bag, keep saying 'Oh my gosh!' Only the two of us in a line, barista was not there.

"Is everything alright?" I asked with concern. She turned to look at me.

Damn, I was mesmerized by her beauty. I was like seeing an angel fall down from heaven with a killer body in disguise.

Looking worried, "I- I think I forgot to bring my wallet. Oh my gosh! so stupid." Barista came and handed her orders. "I am so sorry, Miss, I..." I cut her off.

"It's okay, I got you." I said, facing the barista. We were standing side by side. "Hi, can you add Cafe Mocha and blueberry cake please?" I told the barista, total everything then gave her the money. When the barista left to prepare my orders, she talked.

"Gosh, thank you so much. That was so not me forgetting my wallet." She giggled. "Can I have your number so I can repay you?"

I gave her number not that I want her to repay but other thing. "No need to pay me, my treat." I smiled.

We got our orders, walking towards the empty table. We sat across the table as we put down our orders.

"Thank you really! I'm Sheila Mae by the way." She said, smiling.

"Nice name, Sheila Mae. I'm Dawson." I replied. "But I prefer to call you Shemae." She chuckled.

We got along with each other. She was fun to talk with and part of me enjoying being with her in a short time. We never knew that we talked two hours inside the coffee. What was weird we never mentioned our age, work or status.

Well, I know she is single, no boyfriend I was sure at that moment. No ring, no calls or even message during the two hours we chatted. There was something about her that made me swoon.

I got up to grab a can of beer from my fridge. Sitting back in the living room, watching just random shows. Then I continued thinking about the past. That very first day we both found out she was under my music class. A student! I almost lost for a moment there in front of my class.

I heard my doorbell rang. Putting down my beer on the center table. Opening the front door, saw my beautiful human being in front of me.

"Hey, beautiful!" I said, smiling at her.

"Hello, handsome." She replied as she entered biting her lips. "What are you doing now?"

"Nothing much just watching shows but not actually watching." I smiled at her.

After two weeks we tried to lie low not seeing each other outside campus. But also, she needed time for finals and I, too, need to sort things out.

Last night was exemptional, I went to the club to meet the guys. Never in my mind that I saw her dancing on the dance floor with some guy. Jealousy ruled me in. I do not want to see her with other guy touching her body like that. I clenched my fist as I got up and made excuses with my friends. They seem busy to noticed me.

I went to grab her outside the club that made her shock. We argued but not shouting. I told her to choose if she goes back inside dancing with some guy. I will never stop her but she will never see me again.

Leaving her outside and went back to my friends. It never took long she called me and we talked. I know that it was risky but I am not a permanent teacher in that school. Just a reliever teacher of my friend.

It is her last semester this year before she graduates.

"Baby, what are you thinking? You were spacing out." She said looking at me. "You, okay?"
