CHAPTER 34: NEWS

These past few days our department was busy with works and I had a little time at home. Zane was a little pre-occupied too but it was okay because we still see each other every night. I can still feel him even he always comes home late. We still wake up early morning together. We still exchange messages every now and then. So, nothing changes between us.

As I passed by the corridor, I heard murmurs and looking at their own phones. I do not know what they were looking at as I continue passing them.

Sheila looked at me as I reached my table. She was not looking good while staring at me.

"Is something you want to tell? You keep on staring at me." I asked smiling at her.

"Are you okay?" Now, I was confused about why she was asking me if I am okay. I am feeling well and there is nothing wrong with my body.

"Why are you saying that? I am perfectly fine and I do not have any unwell feeling as of this moment." I smiled.

"No, that's not what I mean physically but emotionally." Sheila said as she walked closer to me.

"What are you talking about? What emotionally are you implying?" Now this is really weird statement she is telling me.

Scanning her phone and gave it to me to see. My eyes were widening as I read those headlines. I paused, so that's what the employees were murmuring about. I did not say a word until Zane will tell me. I know he said I should trust him everything and I am sure it is not coming from him.

"Well?" I looked at Sheila. "I know it is impossible, right?" I nodded. "Well, I think it is not from him I am sure of it." I gave her back the phone. She sat back to her chair and whispered, "Do not mind it until Boss will tell you in person."

"I know and you know why it is not true because it is impossible." I whispered back and she nodded.

Suddenly my phone message alert. I took out my phone and saw Zane's message. I read it.

Z: Please do not mind the news you are reading. You know how much I love you and this is the time I need you to trust me everything.

I smiled as I was texting him back.

T: I know and I love you too much to trust you everything. Do not worry about it I am fine.

"Oh, boy! I know that smile." Sheila smirked. "I guess I will not ask who." I nodded.

Looking at Sheila, I smiled back but deep inside there was a slightly hurt. I know I should trust Zane and it is not his doing with all the controversies going on in the net. His mother will not accept me in her life but I still respect her as Zane's mother.

I concentrated with my works acted as I did not read anything. It is not my time to waste such a thing. There will be more bigger circumstances to come and not just that simple. I have to be strong all the time for the sake of my love for Zane.

I go on with my life as it is even it was not that easy. I still hear rumors circulating everywhere every day. It seems that they were paid to keep going on. It won't help me with anything but destroying my trust in him. However, with the right attitude of being ignoring the news about Zane.

"Hey, you know that I am and we are I mean, always here for you right?" Sheila said as she went closer to me again. Mildred and Hazel did the same too through messages.

"I know. And you know why all of these happens so I need to be strong and ignore everything I heard." I smiled with assurance. This will not go easily in the coming days. That's why I just focus on my work."

"Do you want to unwind tonight since we do not have work tomorrow? Sheila suggested.

I paused for thinking a little bit. I know I have been busy with works and forget to chill a little.

"Well, why not, since Zane is not around. We can chill and have a little Us time with the girls."

Sheila grinned. "That's my girl. I will contact the girls and let's have fun tonight."

She left with excitement and I laughed at her. Well, there is nothing wrong with a little time for myself. Besides, we never always have Us Girls for a long while.

Zane was always not around right now with business related as usual. When the news came, he was not here in the city but it reaches him. We still communicate but not that often time to time but we messaging each other every morning and every night before going to bed.

I messaged him that I will be going out with the girls so that he will not be wondering why I was not able to reach him in my usual time.

I told Maria where I am going so that people in the mansion about my whereabouts.

I was ready to go out and have fun. I was not planning to bring my car so I let Rodel drove me to the said club. Hazel told me she will send me back home with her since we were in the same area.

As I walked in, it is a very nice club with a very nice sounds that attracts with the people who loves clubbing. I already saw the girls sitting not that far from the entrance. They were laughing.

Sheila saw me first and waved at me. I waved back and walking towards them.

"Here you are. The one and only Tayla." Sheila smirked.

"Yeah, right!" Shaking my head as I sat down. "You started with me." I pouted and they all laughed.

"Hey that's not true. We waited for you." Mildred laughed.

"Here!" Hazel gave me a glass of wine. "It is so nice to see you smile again."

"I know. I know." I spoke. "I think this lady's night out helps me to lessen my stress. They nodded.
