CHAPTER 32: MADAM VIVIAN

TAYLA

I was in the middle of my work when my superior called me. I went to her office and knocked at her door. She let me in.

"Andrea, are you looking for me?" I asked.

"Oh, yeah but not me. Madam Vivian was waiting for you down at the Coffee Lobby Shop. She wanted to talk to you." She said as I was confused. "You can take an early lunch break." She smiled.

I went out and went back to my table with confusion. I know who Madam Vivian is. But I never meet her in person. I mean, I saw her at the funeral but never meet her up close. We are not formally introduced.

"Hey!" I went first to Sheila because we usually eat our lunch together. "I will go out first."

She looked at her watch. "It is still early for lunch. Sir Z is here already?"

Zane was out of town and he will be back anytime today. I am not really scared to face Madam Vivian but I do not know why she knew me.

"Madam Vivian wants to see me at the coffee shop downstairs." I said as I give her my fake smile.

"Why?" Sheila asked. Just like me she was also confused.

"I do not know. Anyway, I'll better go. See you!" I waved and grabbed my bag.

I saw her already when I reached inside the coffee shop. It was not yet crowded and she was facing back at the entrance. I sighed before I approached her. I walked towards the table and stand in front of her.

"Hello, Madam Vivian! I am Tayla. Are you looking for me?" I said slightly smiled.

She did not say anything but looked at me from head to toe. Now, I get it already. She knows me more than just Zane's employee.

"Sit down! She said in a firm voice.

I sat down as she says. She was sipping her coffee and still looking at me. This is so awkward at the moment which I have not been encounter in my entire life.

"I want you to stay away from Zane and never come to him ever."

Finally, she says what I wanted to hear. I have read too many novels in my life and one of the dialogs of a mother was this. I cleared my throat and acted as I do not know a thing.

"Excuse me, Madam Vivian! I do not know what are you saying? I am just his employee working in his company." I replied.

"Do not give me that dumb answer. And I know what I was talking about." She raised her voice as some people were looking at us. "You are just a piece of trash and you are not for my son." She added with insult.

I did listen some of her insults. It did not give me a chance to answer her one by one to defend myself. However, Brix interrupted us.

"I think that's enough, Madam Vivian." He said as I lifted my eyes on him. I keep my silence first to finish all her assaulted words before I give mine.

"What are you doing here?" Madam Vivian said angrily then looked at me. "So, you told him that I was meeting you. Greatly, back-up plan. Do not worry you are still not welcome in my family and I will make sure of that." She stood up and walked away before I could answer her. We watched her until we could not see her anymore.

"Come on, do not mind her." He said as he pulled me away from the people in the coffee shop.

We were in the restaurant outside the company. It was just few steps away. This is where we always take our lunchbreak.

"How did you know I was at the coffee shop?" I asked as I was sipping my tea waiting for our orders.

"Hazel texted me to inform about because you told her that you will be meeting Madam Vivian. I know Madam Vivian too well that's why I went to look for you." He answered. "Next time, do not meet her again no matter how many times she wants to meet you." I nodded. "You have to trust Zane that he will protect you.

I nodded again. There, I saw Sheila and Hazel walked in together in the restaurant. They waved at me and I smiled. I know I found to many people, good people as my friends in this city.

"Hi! Is everything alright?" Hazel asked as they sat down in our table.

"Yes, everything is fine. I think this is just the beginning." I stated.

"That is why, do not go and meet Madam Vivian without someone with you." Brix reminded me. "Luckily, Sheila told Hazel about it. If not, I do not know what will Madam Vivian do unto you.

I nodded for agreeing his statement. It is better for me to be with someone because I do not know who the real person she is. The way she talked to me a while ago was a little bit unpredictable. I need to be careful with her. I know she will not stop until I am out in the picture.

"I agree too, you should tell me whenever she asks someone. I do not trust her and that is my instinct." Sheila said frankly. "I never doubt with my instinct and she is no good."

"Okay, I will not keep it to myself or go out without anyone with me." I smiled.

"Good! Because you did not see her how she really is the longer you are with her." Hazel added.

I have to be aware of my surroundings now that I am Madam Vivian's target because of Zane. She will do anything to separate us. A mother who is selfish is a very dangerous enemy. Public enemy number one for the girls who does not being like with the in laws to be a part of their family circle. I am one of them now to be her mortal enemy. I do not know why she knows about me.

She does not even saw us together in public. Or did she see us in public? Whenever we go out, we usually go in private places or faraway from this city. My head is spinning if I keep thinking those.

We continued our lunch and set aside those bad experience moments ago.
