A hollow's story(An isekai story)

(A/N) Please do note that I am a very lazy and busy person who doesn't think about what I do, so you might come to not like this story when you read it. Another note: Screw volume 1, we don't talk about that. ***** Kyle. A boy in his late teens who were fresh out of high school, fell into comatose as he was serving retribution onto his friend who cheated on his best friend. Having fallen into decades of slumber, his life ended, thus, marking the end of his story. For every story has its endings, there are also new beginnings. 'Kyle' learned that he was studying endlessly without reason when he was asleep from a certain being claiming to be God. He then receives the right to reincarnate. Though she had one flaw. A fatal one at that. Her emotions have stagnated and lost it. This is the story of how she regained them and how she struggled for them.

Cess' First Person POV

Celes left us saying that she will rescue Amy too. She killed the knights swiftly like they were not lives when she came to us. I was a little scared but I understood that it had to be done. She also left a barrier that is invisible to the naked eye. I wished I could use magic too, but my parents had no affinity with magic and I inherited their blood, so I couldn't use any magic too. I was envious of Celes but understood that she isn't human when I saw her hair not covering her ears this time. It was always covered with her beautiful hair. Of that, I was envious, too. I am not a child, so I threw those thoughts away as soon as they came.

After a while, I felt drowsy. I slept beside my friend and coworker Lam who was kidnapped along with me and Amy, there's also an elf lady here. She's really nice, even though she was clearly mentally and physically suffering more than us, she still comforted us and made our tension loosen up. If it weren't for her then we would be unable to keep up with the stress.

After thinking about how nice she was, my drowsiness devoured my consciousness and I fell deep asleep.

"Mmm, hm?" I woke up to some light footsteps that were slowly getting closer. I immediately pretended to be sleeping. This is a prison, it wouldn't be weird if someone came to check on us from time to time. Though I'm afraid that they will discover that the guards were missing and that the door was unlocked. Celes took their body with her after all, she stored them on her storage magic or something. I don't know what she did to those bodies but I think I heard her say "Alright, this should be enough," under her breath. I could be wrong though.

Soon the footsteps stopped in front of our cell. I did my best to not be found out when then…

"Oooh, you really were here!" A familiar voice said with a sigh of relief. "I thought it'll take me a little longer but what a relief that I found you earlier," is what the person said. I thought I know this voice but didn't investigate as anything could happen here.

"Cess, wake up, wake up! It's me, Cole!" When the person confirmed their name I stood up quickly and looked back.

The person that stood there really was Cole, and he had Amy in his arms!

"Cole, and Amy too!" I quickly called out to him and opened the cell gate.

"I'm glad you're safe, Cess. Is Lam there with you?" Cole said as he gently laid Amy on the floor with the wall as her rest. After doing so, he tried to enter the cell and asked where lam is.

"She is here with me along with an elf lady. We were waiting for Celes to come back. Also, you'll bump into the barrier," I confirmed to him, and I also warned him about the barrier.

"I'm glad, really. Did Celes leave this barrier here? It's sloppy but is durable enough to hold out against those guards. As long as no strong person came you would've been fine," Cole praised Celes for her magic. "We're going whenever you're ready, I'd like to get out of here as soon as possible, but if you have to rest or something I won't stop you. Make it quick though," he added.

"No, I'm fine. I'll go wake up Lam… also, can we help her too?" I said pointing to the elf lady that was sleeping with us.

"Sadly no, mine and Celes' job was to rescue you girls in the first place. Hadn't Orto punched some courage into me, I wouldn't be here. I was a mercenary, y'know? I was scared to go against the Marquis… oh you're awake Lam. Let's go now before someone comes down here. We're going to follow Celes' traces to get out of here." He stated.

"Hmmm..? What are you doing here, Cole? Could it be, you were abducted too?!" Lam whispered and covered her mouth in disbelief, I jumped from her sudden words but instantly calmed down fully knowing that Cole wasn't abducted too.

"I wasn't, I came here to get you girls. Now, let's go." He replied with a wry smile on his face.

"O-oh, then can we bring her back too? I am not going if we're not," Lam said so as she came near the elf lady and hugged her.

"We can't Lam. Don't be stubborn, you don't even know her plus she will only slow us down. She might even get us caught," he explained to Lam.

"No! She was here to help us when you weren't! I am not backing down even if I have to escape with her ourselves!" Lam herself knew and understood what Cole meant but still insisted on it.

"T-then me too! Please let us help her get out of here, too!" I insisted too after seeing Lam's determination. I want to help her, too!

Cole was hurt by Lam's word as he himself hesitated to come and help them. He thought about it a little bit and couldn't help but agree to it because of the pressure the girls put him under. "Fine…" Cole said as he let out a sigh of defeat.

"Yay, alright!" Lam said so cheerfully in which Cole thought was cute and smiled. He was glad that he came here with Orto to save the girls. If it wasn't for that troublesome idea of Orto to hide in Celes' shadow then he would've been able to help the girls escape earlier. He thought about it and realized that hadn't they done so then Celes and Amy might have died.

"Alright, but how are we going to carry her? Isn't she flat unconscious?" Cole asked to which I responded…

"How about you carry her and me and Lam carry Amy? That way the weight would be balanced between us. Also, our strength was above average so I think we would be able to run faster like this. Plus I and Lam are childhood friends, we are in complete sync." I explained what I had in mind and lifted the elf out of the barrier. It was more like I dragged her out though.

"I-I guess that works." Cole was reluctant to carry the elf lady after he took a look at her proportions but knew that he had no choice.

We were able to persuade Cole into helping the elf lady escape with us.

Our escape went smoothly and we were able to escape the Marquis' estate and head for Eloc's bar. I thought it was weird that we only ran into a handful of guards but I didn't think too much about it and was just glad that we made it out safely.

*****

LMAO, said guards are being feasted on by a certain vampire right now.

Yeah, I'm implicating that they escaped after Celes came back to that room and feasted on those dead and half-dead soldiers.

Hey, author! Aren't these are just filler chapters? LOL yeah. It definitely is. I'm inexperienced but I'm trying my best, okay?

Also, I wanted to publish a chapter yesterday but the vaccine assaulted my head like a charged rifle so I had to take a break. I seriously wanted to publish one…
