The First Day of 10th Grade

(The story starts with April and Noah)

April wakes up next to Noah. She checks the time on her phone and quickly realises that her alarm didn't go off. April gets out of bed, trying not to wake Noah up. However, Noah wakes up.

'Morning princess,' Says Noah.

'Morning babe,' April replies.

'Why're you rushing? we don't need to leave for another hour.' asks Noah.

'My alarm didn't go off and we have to leave in 10 minutes.' exclaims April.

'Ugh. I don't want to go. I want to stay here and chill and cuddle with you.' Noah says, pouting at April.

'I don't want to go either but it's the start of 10th grade and it's picture day. We can cuddle later. My mum is out tonight at her mates so we have the house to ourselves.' Says April, brushing her hair.

'What about Luke?' Noah asks.

'He's staying at his girlfriend's for the night. Come on Noah, you need to start getting ready instead of watching me doing my make up.' April replies.

'Fine.' Says Noah

Noah gets changed and April carries on with her make up.

April runs downstairs and runs to her car until she realises that she's forgot her phone and her bag. April runs back upstairs and grabs her things. Noah follows her and they get into April's car.

*In the car*

The car ride to school is silent but April doesn't care because she is running late.

They arrive at school. Noah gets out and meets April round at her side. Noah helps her out and carries her bag for her. When April gets out of the car, she immediately kisses Noah.

'What was that for?' Noah asks in shock.

'That was for not giving you a morning kiss.' April replies.

'Oh that makes sense.' Replies Noah, smiling.

They head into school and go straight to their lockers.

April puts her bag in her locker and just gets out her notebook and pencil case.

Noah doesn't get anything out of his bag and instead walks back over to April.

Jackson arrives at school and walks over to Noah and April. 'Hey guys.' He says to them.

'Erm, hey Jackson. What's up?' April asks.

'Nothing much just happy to see you two.' He replies.

'Erm, okay. You just seem a little too happy.' Noah replies

'I might have had a little bit of alcohol before I came here.' Jackson replies.

'Oh okay.' April says, looking confused.

Lily arrives at school and goes straight to the office.

April and Noah head to their first lesson. Lily gets sent to classroom 103 which is where April and Noah are. Lily walks there but gets lost and bumps into Noah. 'Hey, watch where you're going' Noahs exclaims. 'Sorry, I'm new and I'm kinda lost. I'm looking for classroom 103.' Lily replies, embarrassed. 'Well, that's where we're heading so you can walk with us.' April says.

Noah holds April's hand whilst they walk to class.

'Hey, I'm April. Do you want me to show you round?' April asks Lily.

'Hi, I'm Lily. Um, yes please if you don't mind.' Lily replies.

'Of course. This is Noah, but don't get any ideas because he's my boyfriend.' April replies with a bit of a bitchy tone.

'I kinda guessed because you're holding hands and I saw you kiss him this morning in the car park.' Lily says.

'Well, this is classroom 103. There is usually a seat in front of us that doesn't get used so you can sit there, if you want.' April says snarkly.

Lily shrugs her shoulder and follows April and Noah into the class.
