Chapter 15: The proposal

After a few days, they became very busy. They couldn't keep up with the orders. After completing every delivery Seiko says "2 weeks are remaining and this much Noble has come! Are those daughters of the king beautiful or something?"

Ali says "You don't understand politics do you."

"Yes, I do."

"Then tell me the reason behind this."

"..."

"Mizan is near the Tyrrhenian sea. The dock is under Mizan's King control. From this dock, you can trade with most of the Arabians and Italy. If they get power here they will be able to do business with ease."

"Ooo."

A woman comes and talks in french. No one understood. But Seiko talked with her. She came here to buy some pudding. He sold it.

Everyone is impressed. Ali says "Are you some kind of French spy or something?"

"No, Why would you ask?"

Rachid says "I saw him talking in fluent English."

They gave a suspicious look to Seiko and whispered to each other. Ali says "He made pudding like a normal thing. He even started a new marketing strategy and he was fully confident."

"I can hear you."

They ignored Seiko.

"He must have sold his soul to a demon or maybe he is a spy of another country."

"I'm going to take a bath. I need to prepare myself."

"Don't bother," Ali says.

"Why? You are getting jealous that I may become the King."

"You can't enter."

"What do you mean by that."

Rachid says"Only a few people can enter and they are nobles."

A bolt of lightning strikes Seiko. He is in serious shock.

Guiltily Rachid says "He lost his excitement. I shouldn't have said it."

"No, you did the right thing. He should experience reality."

Seiko is depressed. A few days are remaining before the party happens. Some servants from the royal family come and order lots of food. They want it to be delivered on the day of the party.

After hearing this, Who watches Seiko's happiness? Ali says "You sure are a lucky man."

"YES, I'm"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. It's not a competition. Based on one's family status, political influence, and benefits King will choose his Son-in-law. You don't have a slight chance."

"Who said I am only going for the princess? There are maids, right? I will make them fall for me."

"You are way too positive."

"I don't have time for you, I need to take a bath and a haircut."

Ali grabs his collar and says "King has given us this much order. Who do you think is going to make it?"

"You."

Sarcastically Ali says "Ok then go. We will say that we couldn't make food so we can't send any food."

Seiko cries and says "Please don't do this to me. I am an innocent kid."

With an evil smile, Ali says, " Yes, You are an innocent kid that means you will also help me in the work?"

"Yes, I will, I will do whatever you say, master."

Ali looked like a demon in Rachel's view and said, "You are the demon here."

At last, the day came. The party is at night. Seiko went to the mansion with food. Rachel and Ali were with him but they left the place after delivering food at the door. The mansion is a British style mansion. As soon as Seiko enters the mansion. Servants of the mansion took him to the cook. When he was going there he saw a girl with messy hair. It was dark, he could not see her face. The chief said, "You must be Seiko."

"Yes, I'm."

"You should have come early."

"You see it takes time to make those."

"You made this?"

"Yes."

"Will you share your recipe?"

"Yes, sure but in one condition. You have to teach one of my subordinates how to cook."

"Deal."

Another chief says "The cake is ready."

"Good."

"Cake for what?"

"For the party. Oh, I forgot you don't know. Look when nobles have a birthday they cut a cake."

A thunder strikes him, he is stunned.

'Ali you cunning bastard!!' Seiko says to himself.

Being hesitant, he says "The party was supposed to be an excuse to choose King's son-in-law right?"

"No, he will announce his daughter's fiance. He might choose for his other daughter."

Seiko's eyes sparkled with excitement and said, "What are you saying is true?"

"Yes"

"Can I be a waiter for today?"

"That came out of nowhere."

"Please please, you will get a helping hand. I even know English and French."

Seiko talks in Both English and French to prove it.

"You, actually know those. Ok, Kalam, take him and change his clothes." He didn't want to hire Seiko, but having someone who can understand foreign guests is a huge help.

While changing he overhears a conversation.

"Why did you come out? How did you come out?" It was a girl.

Another girl says "I wanted-"

"Stop talking and go to your room. You ugly girl."

After The queen cuts the cake, the party begins with applause.

At the party, Seiko Is quite popular. He knew lots of them because he delivered food to them. 2 princesses look average. They were not that beautiful. The king wasn't there. He was out for some work and on the way home.

At one point, a girl enters while dragging her foot. Her right foot is deformed, her clothes and body are dirty, her hair is messy.

When people noticed her they started to talk about her. Seiko heard, "is she the cursed child of the king?"

"Ya, I thought it was just rumored. But it turned out to be true."

"I heard when she was born her mother died. President queen gave birth to a dead boy because she was near the delivery."

"Look how ugly she is!"

Seeing this the Queen secretly orders her maids to take her away.

Seiko went near the girl and placed his hands on her face and said, "You look beautiful." His eyes were full of sympathy and love for her. She felt a feeling that she never felt.

Seiko says "Will you marry me?"
