The Outcome

"What the fuck is going on?" A confused Michael questioned, his eyes darting all over the place.

He noticed he had on the same clothes as that night, the night when he killed his mother and his body was beginning to stink implying he hasn't had a shower since then.

What were all the experiences fake?

Why were the others not waking up?

Did this mean that only those that were alive in whatever this was were allowed to wake up?

Why weren't Tee and Megan in the room?

No, most of the faces that were the last ones standing weren't in the room except the kid that he nearly killed and Elizabeth.

James noticed the words he had just said go over Michael's head, realising that he owed him more of an explanation first before he could tell him his plans.

"I know you must all be confused but what you just experienced was a simulation that sent you all into a mental place that doesn't exist, a virtual world but the experiences you got in this virtual world was very real. I know you must have figured it out but these people died in that world and this is why they aren't waking up…" James spoke softly, momentarily pausing to give them enough time to digest the information given.

"The people you met in that virtual world that aren't in this room are students that have passed them. You were grouped into 5 batches categorised as A, B, C, D, E. You belonged to the last batch and out of 500 students in total, you are all that remain but one could say I was biased towards you or you could very well be dead…" James said.

James put these people that had passed to make up numbers in the last batch and with a specific instruction to test Michael because James was curious to see how his powers worked and he figured it out.

But Michael began to wonder if his experiences since stepping foot into this house have been fake.

This included his little adventure with Tee when he first arrived where he killed those people.

"Everything you have experienced since stepping foot into this house has been false. It was to test your aptitude for evil and you passed with flying colours. There was no club, no victims were waiting to be slaughtered…" James said, and judging from the look on Michael's face he knew this was exactly what he was thinking about.

Michael was still trying to wrap his head around the whole thing but Elizabeth already understood what James was saying.

"J-Jay… Tee's brother! He was real!" Michael blurted out. He knew he was real because no phantom could have such a presence but then again, Dean blurred this line with his illusion but this was beside the point.

"Indeed, Jay was real but he was never going to harm you. I wanted to see if your power would cloud your judgement when you encountered someone stronger but you passed that as well. Jay works for me, that's why I took Tee in as a condition for his services but even Tee isn't aware of this and I expect it to remain between us 4," James said. Michael slumped back.

"What the hell…" Michael muttered to himself.

"It is indeed a lot to take in but I'm afraid it is time for you to learn the reason why I favour you…" James said. He was done explaining and needed Michael to know why he was so essential in his long-term plan.

Edward was against Astro and he was no match for the supervillain who had more experience under his belt.

Astro was taking his time in tormenting him as all his blows were just soft enough not to be fatal but the damage it did took away Edward's ability to walk.

His legs were wobbly and his vision blurry, he was barely remaining conscious because he knew if he didn't. This might be the last time anyone heard from him again. He tried his best to put up a fight but it made no difference.

Edward was fighting for his life but he noticed he was feeding some sort of game that Astro was playing.

He had to be careful but before he could complete a blink, he felt a blow right across his jaw that sent him reeling and tumbling into the ground.

"You piece of shit! I really wish I could kill you!" Astro cussed but this made Edward wonder just how important the information he had was.

This was a lot bigger than Damon told him because if he knew all this beforehand, his approach would have been a lot more different.

He couldn't help but feel like he walked right into a trap but he also cursed the fact that he didn't tell Fred.

Maybe if he did, he would have stood a chance against this man but there was nothing he could do.

Edward could no longer hold on to his consciousness, and he could feel his eyes closing.

Boom! A large sound occurred and the shockwave it generated blew him a meter or two backwards.

Edward was too weak to do anything but he heard something before unconscious.

"Damn son, dis biatch be trippin'…" This was without a doubt the individual that has been watching them.

Fred was bloodied, and beaten to a pulp by Gina. Thanatos didn't need to get involved because Fred wasn't a battle type so Gina had a field day.

"That is enough Gina, we need him alive," Thanatos said prompting Gina to sigh as she was just getting started but a second look showed her that Fred was anything but conscious.

She threw him over her shoulder and both began to walk away but the only difference between this. Unlike Edward, there was no one coming to intervene.

Fred lost this battle and the fate that awaited him was unknown but whatever it was, it couldn't be good.
