Kindness And Sadism

Edward and Fred bid their farewell to the FBI agent, opting to exchange contact information because they knew he would prove useful to them in the long run but Fred realised that Edward didn't even have a phone.

That was weird, an adult not having a phone meant he had no means of communication.

That could prove problematic but he knew nothing about Edward or where he came from so he chose to tackle the topic carefully.

Fred found himself interested in knowing about Edward after their conversation with Agent Philip, he could tell by Edward's reactions to the drugs that he wasn't new to it nor was it his first time hearing about it.

Fred couldn't be his usual rude self or Edward would be on guard, he needed to make him want to talk and getting him a phone might provide that opportunity.

Fred nudged Edward slightly and instructed him to follow him to a nearby shop where accessories were being sold.

Edward assumed Fred wanted to get something for himself because Edward didn't have the money to get anything so he watched Fred.

Staying stationary at the register, Fred soon came with a phone and it wasn't a cheap phone.

He paid for it and both boys were out in less than ten minutes.

"Here…" Fred muttered, handing him the bag they had used to package the phone.

"You want me to hold it for you?" Edward asked as he was a bit confused as to why he was giving him.

"No fool, I'm giving it to you. I got it for you. We're a team now and I need a way to reach you," Fred said; Edward couldn't contain his excitement because he always wondered what it would be like to own a phone.

He accepted the gift from Fred with open arms, thanking him continuously because he knew he didn't have to but went out of his way to get him one.

This was an iPhone 12 Pro Max, it was on the high end and considering that Fred wasn't getting paid by Damon, this made the act even all the more impressive but he accomplished what he intended to accomplish because Edward was now in his debt.

Fred was hungry and was sure Edward hadn't had anything to eat so this was an opportunity to take him to a restaurant where they could further discuss the case. It took them no more than ten minutes to find somewhere to eat and settle down, waiting for their order.

Edward was still at a high from the phone he had gotten but Fred wanted answers right now.

Answers that only Edward might be able to buy and after he got small talk out of the way, Fred pounced.

"Edward, about that drug, you don't happen to know anything, right?" Fred asked, he was expecting Edward to be defensive about it but Edward was anything but defensive.

"I do know about it…" Edward said bluntly, he wasn't even trying to play dumb.

"Why didn't you tell the Agent?" Fred asked and Edward looked visibly confused by this question.

"The same reason you omitted certain details from your story, I just thought you wouldn't want me to," Edward said and Fred was taken aback by this.

Edward was a lot smarter than he initially thought.

"That drug was distributed where I grew up, it was a drug that was more accessible than food but it was a diluted version that was sold. The effects were watered down drastically to accommodate the lower-class people. They could afford it but not the same quality." Edward said, watching a waitress bring them their food.

He had ordered Pasta with Meatballs on the side, while Fred chose to eat something a lot lighter in the form of a Farro Salad with Roasted Vegetables.

"What else can you tell me about it?" Fred asked. Papa was the one responsible for the distribution and he knew sharing that information would be of great help.

But Edward chose silence because if he did, Milky would most definitely be in danger.

"There's nothing else I can remember but they were distributed by normal humans, and these humans were not coerced into it with some superpower either," Edward said right before digging into his Pasta.

Fred was wary because he knew so much about this life, he couldn't have just been an observer with this much information but he knew it wasn't in his place to judge whatever life Edward might have had before now.

"Papa, it looks like I will be seeing you soon…" Edward thought to himself.

Dean's battle with the girl was over and Dean had obliterated her in the cruellest manner deemed imaginable.

Dean was far from the playful man he presented himself to be and his opponent felt the full force of his sadism because while she might be able to bounce his powers back on him, she couldn't mimic the intricacy of his powers so Dean trapped her in a false world where she thought she had reflected his powers but it was false.

Dean proceeded to dig up phantoms of her past, things she couldn't possibly fathom.

The repressed memories she had forgotten and twisted in such a grotesque manner that she began to question everything and everyone.

Dean knew the mind was the reason people felt pain and he induced hours of this in a mere few minutes.

She felt like she was being skinned alive and her nerves being exposed directly to the blistering wind that Dean had strategically set up for maximum pain.

Eventually, her body gave out as it went into shock, killing her and Dean made sure she couldn't forfeit.

No one knew what happened or the kind of pain she endured, only Dean.

Dean was declared the winner of the first match as he had killed his opponent without mercy.

Her body was carted away with most wondering what had just happened but the next match was already set.

Michael didn't have time to think, he looked up and saw that he was up against a person called Günter.

"A German?" Michael thought as he entered the arena, noticing the person he was fighting to leave the group Lola was in. It was a teammate of hers but Michael didn't care about any of this.

Anyone that stood in his way will die.
