An Unlikely Partnership?

Michael was officially under the care of James Moore, he was surprised by how well-organized this place was but the others hadn't come yet.

It was only Michael and this strange boy that James had warned him about, and Michael wanted to test just what was so wrong with him.

They were the only two in the building or at least in terms of being students and they had a certain level of freedom but they were a lot of restricted areas in the building.

"I wonder what his power is…" Michael thought to himself, James knew about his power and yet still deemed this boy to be stronger than him.

He was always lost in his own world, talking and laughing but there was no one there.

Michael knew he might belong in an asylum but he was confident that he could take him on and he was curious to put it to the test.

They were allowed to go out and that is what Michael wanted to do first, he wanted to explore the area before the school started, they were not prisoners.

"I am headed out," Michael informed all who cared to listen but a hand on his shoulder informed him that he was not alone.

"W-What?" Michael didn't even register the presence of the person that touched him.

"I'm going too," This voice, was the voice of the boy that James had warned him about.

His hair was styled in a dreadlock, and the moment Michael looked into his eyes, it felt like he was looking into an abyss that would suck him right in.

"Get your hands of-!" Michael found himself choking, he couldn't let out the words from his mouth and had to break eye contact with the boy to breathe.

"What the fuck was that!?" Michael's breathing was heavy and these words could only linger in his mind because he could not speak until he regained himself.

The killing intent was overwhelming, and Michael was about to buckle with one look.

This boy was called Tee but his power was currently unknown, not even James knew what it was.

Tee went ahead and Michael followed behind him, he was curious about Tee and just like that, his hunger slowly resurfaced once again.

"What should I call you?" Michael asked prompting the boy to turn around and looked right into his black eyes.

"I'm Tee and I have one simple rule. Don't annoy me or I will kill you," Tee was blunt as they continued walking.

Michael could not believe his eyes, this place was nothing short of stunning. The buildings felt like they could reach the sky, and the cars roaming the roads were not on the low end.

It looked like Tee was going somewhere, and Michael realized he had stayed longer here so it was only natural that he knew a few more places than himself.

"Where are we going?" Michael asked, he felt like a second reel but he got no response from Tee.

Tee was a year older than Michael and Michael could feel his arrogance slip away when he was around this boy, like an animalistic instinct.

A look in his eyes was enough to tell him that whatever this boy had seen in life far superseded his.

Tee led them down a dark alleyway, and Michael felt like he was in a crime movie because the building that Tee attempted to enter requested a password and Tee simply muttered.

"Villains are heroes," And the door popped open, Michael knew whatever lay ahead was dreadful becuase he could smell the stench of death oozing from within.

Tee looked back, and this was his non-verbal way of asking if Michael was tagging along.

Michael walked in front of Tee and this was an underground bar where naked ladies danced seductively on polls. These were not normal ladies as they used their superpowers to complement their skills, but a lady with an elongated tongue, wrapping it around the poll and stroking it up and down in a very suggestive way.

Michael knew that was meant to be a dick and the men throwing their money at her only supported this assumption but what did Tee want to do in such a disgusting place?

The combination of stench and sweat was repulsive to say the least but coming where he came from, this much was tolerable.

Michael noticed that Tee was a familiar face as most people gave him a knowing nod.

"Michael, have you ever killed a man?" Tee asked out of the blue and Michael was caught off-guard because this was out of the blue.

"Excuse me?" Michael asked, wanting to confirm if he heard him right.

"You have the eyes of a killer," Tee said, just before knocking on another room door.

"You are one to talk," Michael thought but he knew Tee wouldn't appreciate it if his question was met with silence.

"I have killed two people," Michael said but he did not get any reaction from Tee facially.

"That will do," That was all Tee said before the door popped open and what lay behind the door was something Michael would have never imagined.

A man was gagged, blindfolded, and missing body parts but still very much alive. Michael was confused because he saw multiple in similar conditions but they were already dead.

"W-What is this?" Michael questioned and Tee smiled for the first time, he looked to be proud of this sight

"This is my little hobby and I want you to kill him…" Tee said bluntly with a sinister grin/

"H-Hahaha! What are you talking about?" Michael tried to play coy but the stutter in his voice gave away his unease.

"You see if you don't, I'm afraid I will have to give someone the choice to kill you. Everyone here was given that choice, and they chose to be morally right. But that comes with consequences, but your eyes are different from theirs. Maybe, just maybe, you would pick the right choice." Tee said and the mask of calm he had on slipped to reveal a crazed killer.

"James was right about you…" That was all Michael said before focusing his gaze on the struggling man.

Michael muttered, his face creasing into something that barely looked human.

"I will do it...."
