Author's notes

Before the story starts I just want to state a few things.

This is my first time writing and not to mention English is not my native language nor is it the official language in the country I reside in (not my native country also speaks a different language), English is pretty much only used in classrooms and such. As I have 3 languages running through my head, sometimes I have my thoughts are in a strange mishmash of these 3 languages before being regurgitated into out, so expect a lot of grammar errors.

The name of this novel could later be changed but for now, I just followed the Japanese naming convention of light novels. This is also my way of criticizing the japs way of naming their novels, even my novel has zeros relations to the japs as it's set in a Chinese cultivation world.

Story start----

Vladimir Zelensky Dragunov was a HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) instructor living a bland while a joyful life, while due to his anti-social behavior he has remained single to this day but Vlad isn't too concerned about that as his life's passion which is centered around Medival Europe.

Not saying that he doesn't want to get married and have kids but if you think hard enough what to entails... All of a sudden it got a lot less appetizing. Vlad would often look as his parents as a reference point, like all of a sudden you'll have this chatterbox scolding you day and night constantly reminding of how incomplete and useless you are.

Vlad remembers how his mother scolded his father and his father just sat there and took all of it without saying a word, Vlad clearly took after his father being the silent type.

Vlad would remember his father telling him stories of how a woman used to be much meeker in the past when his father was still in his childhood which is pretty much unsinkable for the young Vlad.

'Oh if it were that' Vlad thought as the woman in Vlad's generation are even more vicious and insane that his father's generation to the point of making his mom look like an angel.

Vlad has heard scary stories so the wife cheats and has a child, the husband finds out and files a divorce but still has to pay for child support.

That there is the pinnacle of savagery.

Looking at his income, his looks, his introvert nature and using his parents as a reference point, it's highly likely that he'll end up just like the guy in the story. So with a high likelihood of tragedy befalling on him, he gave up on a romantic life and instead focusing on his hobby.

Life was going well until one day he found out that he has brain cancer and doesn't have long to live.

Du Du Dam

Tragedy struck and Vlad fell into despair, he quit his job and tries to speeds the remainder of his days drinking away until his death.

However fate seems to have other plans for him as during one of his drunken he stumbles upon an ancient manuscript pertaining to the philosophers stone, he quickly fell asleep soon after but the next morning he picks up the book and wondered... Just wondered maybe...

'well... might as well give it a try' he thought as, at his time of greatest despair, anyone would try out anything no matter how ridiculous it may seem.

And so he began researching into the occult and the divine for salvation.

Months passed he his research finally bore fruit and it finally came to this, standing in the middle of a pentagram with a knife in his hand.

'a Phoenix rises from the ashes. In order to find salvation one must be prepared to be damned' Vlad thought as he cheeks everything before proceeding to stab himself in the heart.

Vlad coughed out a mouthful of blood falling on the pentagram and died.

Naturally, he didn't just commit suicide for no apparent reason according to the ancient text in order for his mind to survive reincarnation he must die at the pentagram.

While he did find other ways to survive but he found this to be the most ideal as he was pretty much buried in debt in his pursuit of ancient forbidden knowledge. It obviously didn't come cheap and he has traveled all over Europe and coming in contact with a bunch of shady people in order to acquire them.

With all that said starting all over doesn't sound such a bad idea and so he chose to reincarnate instead.

Moments passed and the next time he opened his eyes, he found himself in a cave of some sort.

Vlad examined his surroundings and found that his body has turned into that of a baby's and the next thing he notices is the pentagram beneath him.

Vlad tries to get up but fails horribly due his muscles being underdeveloped.

As he was trying to get up however he hears footsteps which made him stopped whatever he was doing to listen to the source of the footsteps.

The footsteps grow closer as he starts hearing voices speaking in an unknown language

"$@@$$@"(this is the place where I sensed the strange Qi)

"$@$@&&@&"(oh master look at there! There's a child there!)

Soon Vlad sees an Asian man wearing an ancient Chinese costume appear and picks him up.

(master such pale skin... Blue eyes and yellow hair this boy must have a rare ancient bloodline)

Not long after another man Asian man with red hair appears and started to examine Vlad's baby body.

(strange... I have never known a bloodline with such characteristics)

Then the red-haired man looks at the pentagram on the floor for a bit trying to uncover it's secrets.

Unfortunately for the man, European dark magic works on a completely different principle than eastern mystic nonsense so he naturally can't figure anything from it.

The red-haired man frons as he decided to rip the stone slab surrounding the strange formation and placed it in his storage ring.

Seeing this naturally startles Vlad greatly as such a feat should be impossible.

That guy just ripped a large tone slab and made it disappear. What is he? Superman?

The red-haired man then stared at Vlad before murmuring to the Asian guy holding Vlad

(let's take him back with us)

Then they went back to the Manor
