A dream or the reality

" What do you mean ?" I asked her . For a moment I felt like she wasn't saying this out of sympathy or pity but she meant something else. " Oh ! nothing. I will pray for her and hopefully you two love birds will soon find your happiness " . I was wondering if I was stupid or her words really meant something else that I was unable to understand. " Yeah" she took out a cross pandent and something like a card which I wasn't sure about . " Take this pandent and put it around her neck . God will give her power. And take this it will help you in future. " She handed me the pandent and a visiting card , after saying this . " Thank you" I said . I put that pandent around Jennifer's neck .She left . I started scanning the card . It was weird because It had only an address mentioned . No name , no contact number, no details nothing. I kept that card on the table . I was already damn tired and had no power to deal with this at that very moment. Later that night I woke up when I heard a nurse calling me . I got up and sat on my bed which was beside Jennifer's bed . I was unable to see her face . I rubbed my eye and then glanced at Jennifer's bed . She was not there .

" Mr Scotts , Dr. Thomas is looking for you " . The nurse said . " Where's Jennifer?" I asked her .

" Please follow my lead" .

" Answer my question!" .

She didn't reply . She turned and started walking . I grabbed my coat and followed her . I could barely see anything. It was completely dark . There was very little light 'cause of the moon light penetrating through the thick and bulky fog. Something wasn't right . The nurse suddenly stopped . But she didn't turn. She stretched her arm out . She was holding something that looked like a chain or a pandent. I wasn't sure .

" Mr Scotts, are you looking for this ?" She asked .

" What ?" Her question puzzled me . Then she suddenly turned. NO WAY ! It was Jennifer .

" James run ! Run away from here " . She begged.

" Jennifer! , What are you doing here ?" . I took a step forward. As soon as I took another step towards her , I felt an unbearable pain in my back . SOMEONE STABBED ME . I fell on my knees. Then I heard a low whispering voice " You are too late " .
