Turning the corner, Jason ran to the living room and stood in front of the door, where his mermaid friends and Eve had once sat.

'I'm glad Alea and I are on the same page,' he thought to himself, taking a deep breath. 'Now if she gets pulled into the second trial with me…well, no need to worry about that now.'

Heart pounding rapidly with anticipation, the black-haired teenager rapped his knuckles on the wooden door and crossed his arms, waiting for a response.

'Any second now,' he thought to himself, tapping his foot on the floor. 'Hmm, why are they not opening the door?'

As his patience wore thin, the black-haired teenager gently pushed open the door and entered flashily with a beaming smile.

"Heyyy guys!" he shouted sweetly, flaunting his open arms. "Did you miss me? I have really good news about the cur—"
