5 VS Poseidon

"This does look quite unnatural."

"The clouds are not moving. They are just staying in a single location, which is hard to explain to the public. Thankfully it's only one week. Otherwise, we would need to resort to hypnosis." Erica said to me as we approached the coastal area with our flying ability.

Before long, we needed to land.

"I need you to control the public and organise with the local magic association while I deal with Poseidon," I ordered her as I saw people dressed in suits approaching. They looked like bodyguards, but I could sense magic from them.

"...I will! And be careful! I don't want to lose my boyfriend so soon!" She said that with an angry huff trying to hide her nervousness.

Now that I have known her for a week, I can sorta see through her acting.

"I will."

After saying that, Raynor launched into the sky, and a sky-blue aura exploded from him. The next moment something akin to the eye of a storm started to form. 

This shows that Zeus' authority overwrites Poseidon's as there is no rain or lightning, and instead, there is s a clear sky!

However, as Raynor was flying towards where Poseidon was, the eye of the storm was following him.

Before long, the teen Campione was face to face with the Greek God of Seas, who was waiting for him.

[There you are. I was growing tired of waiting.] The Deity said with quite a lazy tone as he looked at the Godslayer.

[It appears you have some control over the Authorities you have stolen from my annoying little brother.]

As he said that, his golden trident appeared in his hands. 

[Let's fight! It's time to decide who is superior!]

The Heretic God pointed his Trident, and a torrent of water and lightning rushed at the teen.

Raynor lunged forward and punched the water. What he got was a powerful shockwave which burst the water.

[Hoh? You have his Lightning and body. Impressive! It appears he gave you more than one authority! Good! Entertain me!]

As the Deity exclaimed happily, water started to rise from the sea several kilometres away. I was turning something akin to a tsunami which started to approach them from a distance.

Moments later, the harsh winds turned into twisters which started to rise from the waters and then rushed towards Raynor.

To answer that, bolts of lightning rushed down from the clouds, which incinerated the incoming water.

Poseidon frowned after seeing this.

[You took control of my Storm and all the lightning stored in there. Very smart! However, you are going to need more than that!]

As he exclaimed, the storm started to disappear, and instead, Poseidon rushed forward to engage the teen in close range. 

To counter the Greek God's weapon, Raynor created a spear from pure lightning and used it against the God of Seas Trident.

However, the Godslayer quickly ended up on the defensive as he felt some sort of power slamming into him and making his whole body shake as if vibrating!

Before long, Raynor was sent flying away as Poseidon got the upper hand.

"...Those, it's Vibrations? Earthquakes?" The Seventh Campione exclaimed as he got the idea of what kind of Authority this was!

[Haha! You picked up on that! Indeed! While I don't possess that ridiculous body, I do possess something else!]

As he said that, the water below which he brough started to shake and created a bunch of waves. 

The God of Seas is the God of Earthquakes as well! And he can use those abilities without even touching the ground!

Raynor didn't pay too much attention to these Earth shakes; instead, he rushed forward with more lightning and started to utilise slightly increased speed alongside his ridiculous physical strength.

Same time Poseidon lunged at him and got a taste of strength which could break mountains and turn them to dust.

With slightly increased speed, the Godslayer was able to dodge and not get touched by the vibration, and instead, he delivered a powerful straight right into Poseidon's face sending him flying hundreds of meters away.

That moment moments Raynor softly spoke.

"I am the one who smites." 

These simple words had a supernatural effect surrounding the Godslayer as magic roared to life around him. That moment his God of Skies authority was flipped as black clouds started to gather, and the rumbling of thunder could be heard.

All that happened in very few short moments as Poseidon slightly shook his head; for a few moments, he could see doubles and triple images of the Godslayer.

Once he got over this, he looked at the sky, noticing the rumbling thunder and tons of magic energy stored there.

He understood what was going on!

[I see. Let's finish this then!] The Heretic God exclaimed as he activated his vast reserves as well!

"Hear the sound of seas and the fury they bring!" 

Just like how Raynor's aura, so did Poseidon's; they exploded the Sea water once again rushed at the Heretic God, this time consuming the whole of Sea God. The next moment the seawater started to shape into something similar to Poseidon, only many times larger and made purely of water. The size grew in just a few moments, and it was an enormous Titan made from water.

An imitation of the Trident manifested in the hands of this avatar of Sea God.

"Reaching even the distant lands of Oceanus, my reach touches them all! Behold the Might of Poseidon! The God of Seas!"

As Poseidon finished saying his incantation of his Authority, the water titan glowed with Divinity.

Raynor could feel that this Water Titan could potentially kill a God because it took the aspect of Anti-Divinity.

'Most likely the whole idea that he can drown beings in his seas….' 

Raynor took a deep breath, just like Poseidon. He has been gathering the energy for this showdown as well.

"I am the one who brings judgment."

The thunder rumbled in the clouds taking a tint of golden yellow.

"None can hide from the fury of the King of Gods!" 

As the Godslayer finished saying the incantation of his ultimate attacks, the clouds turned pure gold and started to get dispersed to the sides, revealing an enormous humanoid construct of golden lightning which looked similar to Zeus. However, it's only his upper portion which was constructed to 'smite' his enemies.

[This is it! Godslayer! Time to see which is Superior!] Poseidon said from the water construct as his image lifted his trident, and an enormous amount of water started to rise. 

If that thing finishes with its work, it will reshape the whole coastline, mostly likely shrinking the amount of land the country has.

But Raynor is not planning to allow him to play like that.

His 'Smite' had around 90% of all his magic; the remaining 10% he left for the King's Authority!

So, the moment the huge water titan is about to unleash an apocalyptic water attack, it loses its focus as Raynor's King's Authority, for a moment, interfered with Poseidon's Water God.

The huge titan simply lost its physical form and stopped glowing. That moment Zeus imagine threw its enormous lightning bolt!

[YOU!!! YOU HAD THAT AUTHORITY AS WELL!?!]

Poseidon furiously snarled as he saw the lightning bolt arriving at a speed faster than light and slammed into destabilised water titan, shredding it faster than a hot knife cutting butter. The heat of the attack evaporated water and left only salt in its place; even the salt itself cached fire in the process.

The lightning bolt then slammed into the ground and caused a massive explosion which turned into a mushroom cloud sending golden arcs of electricity in all directions.

The blonde knight had just helped to evacuate locals from a small town and was now looking in the distance when she saw a light show of Divine energies and Authorities clashing.

She could distinguish who is who from the colours. 

However, some amount of panic started to rise in her gut as she saw an enormous tsunami of water arrive from the sea!

Erica just witnesses how Poseidon just brought the sea to himself.

Then, of course, water twisters and bolts of lightning vaporising the said water from the skies. 

Even the smallest of those voltages could incinerate a Mortal being regardless of its magic capacities.

'Just how he was able to pick one of those up? Did Zeus Master Bolt judge him worthy of being picked up?' 

Erica thought to herself for a moment before she saw the most ridiculous thing in her life so far.

Poseidon transformed into an enormous image of himself made from water!

At this point, the girl thought that this was IT. The moment the Sea God is in water, it becomes invincible.

However, then she saw black clouds turn into gold and revealed an image of Zeus made from golden lightning ready to smite with a spear which looked like thunder itself, tens of metres long.

"This is…Master Bolt!?"

"Fuck sake! Look at the size of that thing!!!" One of the agents from the magic association said with a terrified tone.

He then started to run away as he noticed the lightning construct was taking a stance, ready to throw it.

Erica's eyes widened. She did the same; the blonde started getting away from it!

This was not what she saw before when Raynor killed Zeus! It was just hand long lance! This, however, is enough to wipe the whole freaking city!!!

What happened next was a bright flash, and then the sound was killed off, followed by a few moments of complete stillness before a blast of wind slammed everyone into their backs, sending them flying!

The blonde knight, who by this point was lying on her stomach on the ground, felt her new power dwindling. This made her feel nervous for Raynor! If he can't support her blessing, which is minuscule compared to his reserves, then he is out of juice completely!

The girl slowly got up on her feet and looked around. Her facial expression turned dreadful as she saw remnants of the mushroom cloud disappearing slowly.

"It's like a small nuclear explosion! His God of Thunder and Lightning Authority has this much power!?" Erica said to herself as she tried to process how the small sparkles he showed between his fingers to her could produce this!!!

Still, her shock lasted for a few moments before she started rushing towards where Raynor was!

She can still sense him, but he is not sending any power to her at this moment! This means she needs to use her Boots of Hermes spell to reach him faster!

Less than a few minutes later, she finally found him sitting on the sandy beach and looking at the sea.

His whole upper body was naked, and he looked like he got pulled through a grinder.

"Raynor!" 

The teen Godslayer snapped out of his daze as he looked around and saw Erica, who had some dirt on her and her beautiful blonde hair was not as straight as he used to see before.

"Erica? How are the things?" He asked her calmly; the teen wanted to know what happened to her! 

For a second, she nearly dropped face-first into the sand, but she got herself together.

"You just reshaped your county's coastline, and you are asking me how are the things!?" She snapped at him for a second before calming down. He was fine, so this is okay!

"So, where is Poseidon?"

"Turned him into sea dust. If you catch my drift." Raynor said that in a laughing manner, a tired one, but he could still say silly puns.

"So, it worked? Even when he was in the sea? Even when he was in that titan form?" Erica asked with some disbelief while ignoring the silly pun as the moment water Deity is in water, it becomes almost impossible to slay one.

They potentially could turn into mist or water itself. And you could simply not kill water!

"Last moment, I used my King's Authority to catch him off guard. Then the very next moment, he had the Master Bolt in his face. There was simply no chance for him to do anything." 

Raynor said that with a smirk which made Erica realise that her boyfriend can be quite scary when he wants to be.
