8 Testing out, And Moving out to Japan

After the whole fight with Poseidon, over a week has passed. Raynor's life returned to complete normalcy. Well, as normal as it could get when you have superpowers of gods.

Regardless, the only indication that something supernatural is his powers and his blonde girlfriend.

And his girlfriend, Erica, became quite the lover after the steamy session in the morning after the battle with Poseidon. Most of the restraints were gone. 

As in restraints between boyfriend and girlfriend, one could say that she is always arm's reach away from a hug, a cuddle or a steamy kissing session.

However, she became somewhat wary of going further after Raynor made a mess out of her.

One could say that the girl is afraid of getting fucked into sleep.

Turns out that God-King Body. It is not just the physical aspect of Zeus but his body in general. This means that Raynor has that prowess as well.

This is why when she ends up in his bed, she is dressed in proper nightwear.

Which didn't help!

As Raynor would end up making her squeal his name because of how sexy it sounded coming from her lips

Apart from his new activities, he did try out his new authority of controlling water. The capabilities were the same as Thunder and Lightning one instead of its water.

He can manipulate water to the extreme, and with his already natural magic control training he did it became even better.

However, making ice or controlling vapour is quite difficult to do.

Something he didn't bother much as Raynor found fascination in electrified water as sending balls of electrified water is much more interesting than ice.

Then/ the cream and crop of this new Authority— Storms!

At first, Raynor could only make harsh storms which he caused quite away from his town.

He didn't want another accident where the electricity would be down. The teen had no idea if it was his luck or what, but his house had electricity the very next day.

(A.N:Raynor didn't know, but regular mortals are afraid of Campiones. Erica is not a good example of such exposure)

Regardless, he checked out his powers on the outskirts of his town. The moment he got the idea and not bad control, he was in the clear.

His first use of 'Rain' was around P.E. class. Why? Because he didn't want to play football but basketball instead. So, he made it rain!

Erica would roll her eyes at him when he did that, but it's not his problem!

Oh, and his lovely girlfriend transferred into his school and his class specifically. She even became my deskmate in every single class.

To say that her arrival turned some heads is an understatement!

Seeing foreigners in such a remote town is rare. But even more so when one transfers into a school.

Not to mention her personality, which allows her to sweep people away quite easily

So, in a single instance, Raynor became the centre of attention because Erica told everyone that she was his girlfriend and almost something akin to a fiance.

The teen was even sure that she mentioned more than their regular kissing.

Regardless of what she said, he saw girls looking at him with somewhat blushing cheeks and even gulping down nervously.

Not the afraid kind of nervousness but the excited one?

Still though. School make-up only made up around ⅓ of the day as the second part would end up practising away from people's eyes.

Raynor ended up practising his new Authorities and making them his own.

You are mixing water with thunder, adding wind to it.

However, making it into ice is quite difficult. It's almost like trying to breach what the Authority is.

Still, though, he could use wind with water and turn it into a jet stream.

Apart from that kind of practice, he did other ones with the weather. Raynor wanted to get the hang of this, and so far, he could make thunderstorms, extremely windy ones like hurricanes, and of course, casual rain, which is one of his favourite pastime activities.

It is amusing how the rain started all of this, and now he can make rain.

And to put the cherry on top, the rain doesn't affect him anymore. He doesn't get wet!

While the whole regular lifestyle is something the blonde doesn't mind, she never allows herself to get rusty. Unlike her boyfriend, she doesn't have the instinct to always be in top condition.

This is why she is practising and training regularly. However, after Raynor killed Poseidon and she regained his support, she felt somewhat weird.

After she went through all her magic, she noticed something.

She walked towards a small pond and crouched down and put her hand close to the water.

Sure enough, after channelling her magic, water reacted to her.

'This is… Raynor's authorities are leaking over to the ones he is blessing!?' Erica thought with wide eyes as she realised that if this was the case, then she could learn Lightning and Water spells now too!

If this is the case, then those two elements may be even more potent than her natural fire one.

This is an incredible discovery! His King's Authority is just as powerful authority as his others!

'Doubt Zeus would have weak ones, to begin with….'

As she thought about this, the blonde got up on her feet and pulled out her phone.

Going through contacts on her phone, she stopped at one and selected it. She was calling her Copper Black Cross.

Moments later, someone picked up the phone.

Erica started to talk in Italian.

"Can I get a few books on Water and Lightning magic?"

"Yes… send it to my current address."

After ordering, she put her phone down and looked at her boyfriend, who was some distance away, floating in the air and magic water doing all sorts of things.

The girl at that moment had a thoughtful look. This is the first time she has heard how a Campione like Raynor actively trains like this.

Well, it's not truly training, as Godslayers are natural. This is more like getting used to new powers. The better you are, the better the fight will be. But for her to see this like that.

So often by this point.

The sheer difference becomes more and more obvious.

"Ray… I just found out that I am good with water and lightning." Erica said that while approaching him.

"Hmm? Oh? This does make sense." As Raynor said that, he stopped with his routine and landed on the ground. He then slowly walked towards her

The teen Godslayer lifted his hand and slightly channelled some lightning and brought them closer to her.

"Well? Do you feel anything? Like static close to you?" He curiously asked her.

For a second, Erica looked at the lightning; she then brought her hand closer to the flowing energy.

Sure enough, her dandy fingers touched it, but nothing happened to make it even more fascinating; the lightning didn't even touch her. It's like there was a natural boundary field keeping her safe.

"Fascinating, you have a natural defence against these elements as well…" Raynor looked at this with a fascinated look.

"It appears so. This is similar to Heretic God's natural defences against regular magic. It is quite fascinating that you can give something like this as a blessing." The blonde said while inspecting her hand.

"I see this as a positive development. Having more ways to defend yourself as well as gaining new offensive abilities, I take it? Are you planning to learn to wield these elements?" Her boyfriend asked her. He can pretty sure guess that she will learn how to utilise them.

"Already working on it."

"Great. I do want to see how you do things."

"Oh? You want to see me train, or do you want me to see how I fight?"

"Both. Seeing my girlfriend doing the thing she is most natural at should be beautiful to watch."

As he said that, her cheeks got slightly rosy.

"Smooth talker, aren't we? You are getting better at getting under my skin." She said that while fighting through that embarrassment.

"Maybe~ for now, it's enough of this. We should get back. As he said that, he smoothly got her in his hands, as he started to float.

Erica didn't even struggle. By this point, she just follows whatever he does.

"Ray! This is big! Your dad just got promoted!"

"Promoted?" My eyes went to Erica for a bit. This sounds a little bit fishy; I don't know. The feeling is just there.

"Yes! However, he doesn't know if he should take it." My mother said with slightly furrowed eyebrows.

"Why? What's the issue?" I asked curiously. He never faltered before!

"Because it's not any simple promotion. He is getting accepted as an executive in Japan!"

My eyes widened to a large degree!

Did she just say JAPAN!?

That moment through my eyes all. Sort of animes flashed, as well as all those JRPGs, mangas! Light novels! Consoles! Arcades! Hot springs, Bullet trains! Samurai!

For a second, I needed to shake my head and get my head out of the gutter.

"Tell him to accept! This is big! For me- I mean the US!" I said that with a nod.

My mother had a deadpan look. So did my girlfriend, who just facepalmed.

"What? It's Japan!"

"Are you skipping the language barrier? Or time zone? That country is on the other side of the world! Don't forget different cultural things! And food! You dislike fish and barely eat rice! How are you going to survive there!" My mother said a bunch of things from the top of her head!

"Bunch of lesser things! And I do like sushi!" 

"How many times did you eat it!?"

"...well, that one time when we were in… England? It's not my fault it's expensive here!" I quickly said all that.

My mother just sighed again.

"Well, the salary is going to be huge! So we can eat regular food if we want to. I am pretty sure we will be able to." I quickly added this since my last argument was quite bad.

"I will talk with your father about this. You two can return to whatever you've been doing." 

After saying that, she left my room, and Erica quickly got into my field of vision.

"This is a setup! Your father was only a supervisor in the car shop.wasn't he!? Not even an area manager! The promotion is far too big to be a regular one." 

I nodded at her. Her deduction was on the spot.

"Yes, I felt it. The moment my mother said it. I felt it; it was weird."

She slowly nodded when she heard it.

"Then it settles it. Someone wants you out of the county." She said that while putting her hand on her chin.

There wasn't much to think about this. The magic association wants me out of—the county.

No doubt, after seeing me detonating Master Bolt, they started to chicken out.

"It's pretty obvious," I said with a sigh.

"This is a grave offence against you. What are you going to do?" She asked me with a curious look on her face.

"Honestly, I am quite torn about this."

"You are? Do you want to go to this foreign land? Japanese are quite different from how we, and they don't really like outsiders." 

"Maybe so, but this promotion couldn't happen without their consent." 

As I mentioned, there was that glint in her eyes.

"They conspired to get you to their country? Do they want to have a Campione of their own?" She said that while starting to pace back and forth.

"I can see their point of view…but this is just… arrogance. They are looking down on you because of your age." 

I snorted after hearing that.

"Respect the senior bullshit? I would if it were my grandfather. But some random idiot from the land of the rising sun? Not a chance.

However, I will accept this because it's a country I wanted to visit for a long time. And if I don't like it? I will leave after I graduate. Maybe visit some more exotic countries after that." I said with a shrug. This is honestly a simple decision.

"Very well. So what next? What are we going to do to THEM?" The beautiful girlfriend of mine asked with a sadistic glint.
