A Curious Cat Realised it Far too Late

After Raynor discovered so much about her. It made the girl in question try to find ways to get back at him. Now she needed to learn more about him!

Does this make you more obsessed with him? Definitely!

She finally understood that beneath that laziness lays something…extraordinary?

However, her observation skills were not as great as his. So, while she tried to do something similar to what he did it wasn't working out at all…

For now… she needs to stop this because… their first job has arrived.

"Umm… is this…Wah!" The girl squeaked as she saw who was in the club!

"I-I didn't know Valeron-san was part of the Volunteers club!" The girl with pinkish hair said with wide eyes. This was the very same girl which Raynor branded as a 'nice girl' and a gal.

"I joined this one on the first day of my school. Anyway, you are… Yui Yuigahama, correct?" 

"Y-You know about me?" Now she slightly blushed while saying that. 

For a second Raynor smirked. These kinds of shy people are pulling on his sadism! But for now, he has no urge to embarrass her. Instead, he was interested in what this gal wanted.

"I would prefer if you call us Service Club. The volunteer was something Valeron here decided to embrace."

The Campione for a second smirked hearing that. She called him 'Valeron' and not 'Valeron-san'. It appears he has started to shake that 'ice' around her.

"O-Okay! So…um…what you guys do here?" She asked as she finally noticed Hikigaya reading one of the novels in one of the corners which has a bookshelf of light novels…

"Waiting for people who need our assistance," Raynor said as he crossed his arms before looking at the president of his club.

"Yukino-chan I was wondering to we even have an advertisement for our club. How are people gonna find us?" He asked her about this since he has not seen any sort of notice or poster about them!

"...No… teachers do know…if a student needs something the teacher will point at us."

"I see… thought as much. With your character, you wouldn't think about posters." 

At that moment Yukino wanted to bang her head into a table.

Why is he digging this much into her!?

"ANYWAY! What is it you need Yuigahama-san?" Yukino went right to the point about the request. She wants to return to her previous thing as quickly as she can!

"Umm… Can you guys teach me how to…bake cookies?" 

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Very well." The club president said with a straight face. Since this was the request she will show it how to do it. And if need be they will go step by step.

"Nice! I will be able to taste Yukino-chan food. Let's go!" 

The club president nearly missed her step before getting herself together. The pink-haired gal curiously looked at all of this.

The first thing she thought about was if Valeron is trying to add Yukino to the mix.

As in… his harem?

It was sort of weird for her because the guy already had two girls with him who don't care about his advances towards the black-haired ice Queen.

This was…surreal for her. Aren't these girls don't feel jealous? Don't dislike the fact that their man is getting this close to another female?

Around two hours later members of the Service club looked at the stuff the pink-haired gal baked. It was black… overcooked… looking almost like coal.

"Do, you think she is cursed perhaps?" Raynor asked his two girls.

"Doesn't appears so Your Majesty," Ena said so smoothly. How casually she called him 'Your Majesty' still sort of weirded out the regular people.

However, this reaction was short because everyone was looking at the Gal's 'baked' cookies.

"Guys! What did I do wrong this time!?!" The girl nearly cried when she heard Raynor's comment on her cookies.

"It appears you getting constantly distracted. Or more like you're just a natural airhead. It would be better if you have all the steps written down one by one and follow them to the latter." Erica said that as she observed the whole thing from the sidelines.

This time Raynor didn't do much he just observed all of this from the side. While eating cookies baked by Yukino.

The only thing he can say about her cooking is that the girl is a keeper and he is planning to get her for himself.

Yui got embarrassed for a moment when she was so bluntly told like this. 

"What Blandelli-san said is true. You should try doing that. Since you forgot the time you put it."

With Yukino saying that it was like a deep knife cut…

"O-Okay…"

Yukino was recalling what she saw not long ago. She saw Raynor eating still extremely hot cookies without any sort of expression of being hot.

No one paid attention to it except for her. Eating something like that would burn one's mouth. Yet, he did it either way.

She doesn't want to believe it… but… does he has some sort of supernatural powers!?

This explains why the government is treating him like some sort of Royalty. How his girls are fighters of some sort. 

'Is he some sort of descendant of the supernatural family? Another layer of politics exists which is hidden from the regular people?' 

Once Yuigahama and Hikigaya went home after finishing the baking request Yukino was left with Raynor and his two girls.

"May I ask you something?" Yukino said that after finishing cleaning up the kitchen.

"Oh? Sure." The girl's request brough the teen out of his thoughts.

"How do you do it?"

"Do what?"

"All of it. You don't get burned when you eat extremely hot food. You don't feel cold when you go home in the evening. Same with your two girls. Then In P.E., you outperform even the best of them by a landslide." She pointed out all of those things.

All she got from him was a raised eyebrow. He wasn't shocked for being found out. It's like he doesn't care…

"You sure you want to know? Wouldn't it be better to just stay in this illusionary world that people build for themselves?" The way he said this made her realise that this could be dangerous.

However, by this point, she has dug a hole for herself far too deep. This guy in front of her would not leave her be and… this lead her to want to figure out everything about him in the process.

In other words, she got played…bad, it's even embarrassing for her! As someone, who is proud of her Intelligence being played like this!

"...I think you know the answer. There is no need to beat around the bush.

Tell me, you have some sort of supernatural powers. This is the reason why the government is doing all of this. To fulfil all your whims."

*Clap*

"I knew it! Ice Queens are always the smart ones! See Erica! I told you she will figure it out!" Raynor with an excited tone said to his blonde girlfriend who wasn't as impressed as her boyfriend.

Sure figuring it out from just a few details has some merit to it… but for someone like Erica much more is needed.

*Sigh*

"You left too many clues behind." The blonde Knight said with a sign. It appears they will be getting another girl. However, she will be kept on the mundane side of things.

They already found out that she is good at running things. So— administrator of some sort?

The way the pair reacted to Yukino's words only weirded out the girl!

They wanted her to figure this out!?

"This, this was a set-up?" 

"No. Not in the way you expect. My original goal of having that school experience was always the priority. However, the secondary goal was for someone interesting to figure out things… for example…you. Was there as well." 

Now for some reason, the girl felt a chill going down her spine… what will happen to her?

"...And I figured out that you have supernatural powers… what's next?" 

"...There are few options for you. One you don't say anything and keep it to yourself. Second, you start spreading this which will make you…disappear. The government will make sure of that. Or three. You get even deeper in a hole you dug yourself." 

The girl slightly gulped down hearing about the disappearance. She knows it's possible, the whole renovation of her Club happened, and no one even saw or heard when it happened!

The other option about her staying quiet… it's possible, but… it feels wrong… it's like being part of a crime… knowing about it and staying quiet regardless of what is happening.

Which leaves her with the last option. Getting deeper into a mess… what will happen to her?

"...the last option… what does it mean… what will happen…to me?" 

Instead of answering Raynor moved…

Before the girl realised he was in front of her. And behind her was a wall.

Panic settled in her stomach. It only increased as she saw his sky-blue eyes glowing with some sort of power.

He leaned forward and whispered into her ear.

"Welcome to the court." 

After whispering he claimed her lips.

Yukino's eyes widened to a large degree she tried to resist for a second but then she got bombarded by numbing pleasure spreading through her whole being. Coiling around her like a thick blanket. It was so powerful that she could not even move.

While she tried to resist this feeling it was no use as it completely consumed her in just a few short moments.

Before long she moaned hard into Raynor's mouth. Her eyes turned glassy as she was drowning in this heat.

Then…it was over and the Campione pulled away from her.

As he did that Yukino almost slide down the wall to the ground but she stopped and straightened herself.

Her cheeks exploded in crimson red blush.

"Y-You! What did you do to me!? W-What is going on!?" First, she wanted to complain about the kiss but she quickly noticed… changes to herself.

That kiss was not just a kiss! But some sort of force affected her…

"I gave you power."

Yukino frowned for a second. No power comes for free! He expects something in return!

"For what price!? I didn't ask for any sort— the meaning behind digging a deeper hole… it means you will give me power…" She quickly caught up with what he meant!

"This is why I like you. You are sharp and smart. The price should be obvious you are mine now." 

"...I am not an object to be collected." She said that with a sharp tone.

"It is what our Lord says it is. You should be honoured that he has decided to add you to his court." Ena said that from the side. The girl barely talked with anyone except Raynor or Erica… it's like she doesn't acknowledge the existence of regular people.

"I didn't…"

"You did. As regular people say. The curiosity has killed the cat. As someone who loves cats, you have heard of this saying. On another note, you just ended up in the claws of a Demon Lord, one of the Kings of this World." Erica said with a smug tone. Since the girl is part of the court there is no way for her to leave it. Raynor's authority and magic already saturating the girl's body. 

"...Demon Lord? King of the World? Those sound like—"

"Indeed, there are 7 Kings in this world. Most of them are far, FAR more unreasonable than our Lord… 

The one you going to serve is the kindest of them all. " Erica said that with crossed arms. 

"...so…so…"

"The best way to describe our Lord, as being is a Nuclear deterrent. This most likely answers your question of why Raynor is invited to Japan. Your country brought in a tyrant so that they could have a say on the world stage. An ultimate protector."

Once Erica finished her explanation the girl in question collapsed on the ground… out cold. 

"Poor thing… she lost her consciousness." As Raynor said that In a sad tone, he picked her up, in a princess carry. Of course, taking liberty in stroking her exquisite legs for a bit…
