On The Way

Sachi climbed down the mountain using the path. On the way, she kept thinking about the first part of the letter. Who were her parents? She kept thinking where they were or what happened. But on the way, she got bored. Just walking bored her.

"Mr. Leaf... can you do something fun?"

[Well, I don't know what your type of "fun" is]

"Just do something."

[You can kill some creatures. You might want to train your sword]

"Okay!"

Sachi quickly climbed down the mountain. After a few minutes, she reached ground level. Before touching the ground she tried to check the magic flow first. She was curious to know what the surge of energy was.

[Examine]

She looked at the ground with the magic flow vision.

"Interesting, the ground is basically grey. So why do I get dizzy when I touch the ground yesterday and the day before?"

[I can answer that]

"So why?"

[Look at yourself for a moment, you have yellow magic flow right now.]

Sachi looked at her hands.

He's right, I do have yellow flow right now...

"So what's the thing here?"

[Yesterday, you had red flow. That was your max magic capacity. When you touch the ground, The magic inside the ground instantly become yours, filling your magic up.]

So, basically I think that he just said if I touch the ground, most magic inside the ground instantly become mine. The abundant of magic flow instantly flowed through me making me feel dizzy from all the flowing. Is that right?

[Yes]

But I have a question. How can I only do that once? Why did my magic run out even if I was touching the ground?

[You can only do that once because it is your passive ability. When you wake up, you have one chance to take magic from the ground. Since you can't control when that happens, it happens when you touch the ground for the first time after waking up.]

Ehh??

[Just touch the ground and look at your flow]

Sachi stepped forward onto the ground. Again, dizziness inside her head suddenly happened. Despite feeling dizzy, she tried to focus on her flow. While dizzy, the flow turned orange then it turned red. How amazing is that? It was definitely satisfying for Sachi to see her flow instantly turn red in just a few seconds.

"That's cool! So... let's continue. Is there any creatures around me?"

[Yes, but i can't detect it right now, fly some leaves to scout the area. If you do that, I can see what and where the creature is.]

Sachi called for leaves. Leaves flew from the trees. But this time, the leaves were abundant. If Sachi was to pile up the leaves she called, it would be around 1 meter tall.

"Woah.. when was I able to do this much magic?"

[You did just use a lot of Kir]

"Wait what?"

[Yeah, you're now on yellowish orange. If you tried to make them all scout the area, you will probably faint.]

Sachi held her hands in front of her. The leaves pilled up on her hands. The leaves then decay and the magic inside them became Sachi's magic. From that much leaves, Sachi was able to up her magic and make the flow reddish orange. The leaves left now are around 50.

"Now scatter around the place!"

The leaves flew in different directions. One flew north, south, east, and west. Some leaves flew very far and some only flew 5 meters far.

[I've got a creature!]

"Yeah, what is it?"

[A wild Soar]

"And..... what is that?"

[A Soar is a creature with 4 legs with a big body. it is as big as you but fatter than you, considering you are very thin. It is aggressive towards anything it sees. It can probably kill you as it has one very sharp horn. Try to avoid any contact with the horn, it's poisonous.]

"Should I fight it?"

[I suggest you do. But you may die if you fight it.]

"Ehhh.... whatever. Better that than nothing."

Sachi walked towards the location of the soar. She went through the bushes and before noticing, the soar had already charged at Sachi. It ran very quickly. Even if Sachi did try to make a run, she wont outrun the soar.

Sachi quickly took out the sword from her sheath and took a stance. The stance wasn't perfect itself but she did try to make a replica of Sage's stance. So she came out of the bushes and held the sword with only one hand. For her size, one hand wouldn't be enough. To keep balance for a long amount of time, she needed to hold the one-handed sword with two hands.

[I don't think you are using that sword correctly]

"Whatever.. I do what I want to do."

[You might die]

She is very uncaring, she kept holding it using one hand. She ran in the direction of the soar. She then swung her sword at the soar, it missed. The soar then hit her using the blunt part of the horn. It hit her shoulders. Although blunt, the horn had a very rough texture. The Soar literally scrapped the horn on her shoulders, causing a quite fatal damage.

"AH!!"

Her shoulder started to bleed. It was the first time Sachi bled so it was very painful for her. Sachi held her shoulder trying to stop the pain somehow.

"Mr. Leaf! Help me!"

[Regenerate]

Sachi wound started to heal up. Apparently nature magic can also heal wounds. The wound healed up completely. Sachi stopped feeling the pain. She then looked at the soar. It was charging up for something.

Sachi then thought a way to stop the soar. She then came up with an idea. Magic.

Sachi called the scouting leaves back. She instructed them to form a wall in front of her. So they did.

"Harden!"

The soar charged at her swiftly aiming its thorns at her. But the wall had already hardened. The soar hit the wall instead of Sachi. The horn got through the wall but it wasn't far enough to hit Sachi. The horn got stuck in the wall. Sachi walked around the wall and held the sword tightly in her hands.

She slashed the sword at the soar's body. Blood spurted out everywhere. The soar died a few seconds after. The scene was brutal.

"Oh goodness. It's so much blood!"

Then it stopped bleeding. Who knew such a girl would do such a brutal thing.

"That was... chilling.."

Sachi felt chills down her spine. It felt like she shouldn't have done that. She felt like she had done something horrible. Was it horrible though? She only killed the soar because the soar charged at her.

[It's okay. That is called killing. You can kill creatures when necessary. But don't kill humans, they are not evil creatures.]

".....okay..... I still feel bad though.."

Sachi walked around the forest for a while. Just searching for something to do.

"Mr. Leaf, I forgot what I wanted to do"

[Go to the city]

"Oh yeah.... How do I do that?"

[Just find a path and it will probably lead you to the city.]

So she wandered around for a bit. She tried to find a path. But after a few minutes, she didn't find the path.

"Do you know what the path looks like?"

[It's a clear opening.]

Coincidentally, Sachi was near a very shiny area. It is full of light. She checked out to see what it is. It was an opening, cleared, no trees. She looked to the left, there she saw a small pack of buildings in the distance.

"This must me the way!"

Sachi ran towards the direction of the buildings.

After an hour of just running later,

"*Huff* *Huff*..... Is this it?"

A large gate 20 meters in front of her can be seen. It was 20 meters tall, for some reason. The gate was made of steel with stone walls beside it. Beside the giant gate was a small hut. Not sure what it's for.

Sachi walked towards the gate. As she walked forward, a man started running from the hut to the front of the gate. Another one came after him.

"Hey! You there! Who are you!? Where are you from?!"

The man with a beard pointed at Sachi.

"What's the deal here? Is he pointing at me?"

Sachi stepped closer. At this point, she is 9 meters from the wall. The men were 2 meters from the wall. They ran towards Sachi. It seems that they were taking out their swords.

They were unarmored. But they had steel sheaths that, inside, had an iron sword.

"Wh- do these guys want to fight? What should I do?"

[You can kill them if you want]

"Shut up, you just said I can't kill humans."

[Unless they threaten to kill you.]

"Just be quite Let me deal with this. You can help if I ask for help."

The men were getting closer and closer. They jumped about 2 meters up and aimed their swords at Sachi.

"Oh... no...."

They suddenly dashed at Sachi from the air while pointing the sharp edge of the sword at her.

Sachi evaded both attacks and they hit the ground instead.

"That was close."

It seems a problematic situation has started.
