49 To become a villainess

One last slurp was heard, because after that, it was complete silence. Mark was staring deep into Artemis's eyes, and so was Artemis, as she was awaiting the words that he seemed to have a difficult time saying to her.

As seconds passed, and when it was almost a minute, Mark's eyes was turning red. It seems that he wanted to fall in tears, however, he eventually didn't. What he did instead was put his bowl of noodles down on the table, before changing his looks into that of a person who is determined to achieve something great. His eyes slowly reverted back to its white and usual color, but that faint redness was still there when he had decided to reply to the earlier words of Artemis.

"I'm sorry, Artemis."

"Huh? For what?"
