4 Chapter 4 Daphne

Fleur and I danced slowly to the music. I had to keep my Occumelency shields in full force. Not because she was a veela, but because her breasts were pressed up against my chest and it was taking everything in my not to get hard and have my cock start pressing against her stomach.

The flirtatious smirk on her face told me she knew my train of thought.

With her hands around my neck she leaned in, her hot breath on my ear.

"My mother and sister are watching us right now."

"Hopefully this doesn't upset them, I hear veelas are a terror with fire."

"Just a representation of our burning passion," she quipped.

"Is that what they call it these days?" I said scanning the crowd.

Nine tenths of the people here were women, so it was easy to spot my grandfather with his neutral expression as he looked at me. Thankfully my grandmother took his arm and brought him to the dance floor. I continued to look across the crowd for Fleur's family but my eyes caught on startling sky blue orbs.

A woman of age with me stared at me with a cold blank face. Her blonde hair was done up in a bun with wisps hanging down. She was rather thin, not model level anorexia, but slender. She wore a red long sleeve dress with a black corset that went down to her knees. Her dark eye shadow highlighted her eyes and gave her a slightly goth look. Though I didn't think wizards knew what goth was.

When our eyes met she nodded slightly. Beside her Leovon Greengrass gave me a small smirk.

So that was Daphne Greengrass.

My eyes continued through the crowd until I saw the largest gathering of men outside of the gaggle surrounding the Minister of Magic. Apolline Delacour stood nearby, resting her chin on her younger daughter Grabrielles head as they looked at us. She was sinful, more curves than her daughters, and a naughty smirk on her face that made my blood churn. Gabrielle was very similar to her sister, but with a rounder face and larger eyes. She looked to be a year or so younger than me, so was still in the process of maturing. When I looked at her she gave me a friendly wave, a smile on her face. I returned it a bit awkwardly.

"Trying to get my sister nah?" Fleur said, turning my attention back to the beauty in my arms.

She pressed up closer to me and I could feel her hardened nippled through the dress.

"Uh, just being friendly. She's still a bit young for me. So you're studying at Hogwarts? Why not Beauxbatons?"

"Ah, the man who is after my mother has a lot of children there so we decided to do a full move. And I am in my second year at the moment."

I ran my thumbs over her waist, and a slight blush dusted her face.

"I see, I hope you wouldn't mind if we started to exchange letters then? I'd rather see you in person though."

Her smile widened.

"Not at all… Reigis, I can call you that right?"

I nodded.

"I will not rush a relationship. When veela's love they love hard, and I have been warned to not be taken advantage of many times. Many men wish for us to be nothing more than a horizontal hole or a tool they give out for their own gain. I will not be that."

I smiled at her.

"I'll make sure to properly court you then. Any competetors I should know about? I'm quite proficient with making poisons."

She snorted a laugh.

"A mister Diggory has been trying to court me since he started Hogwarts this year, actually most males there have, and he is handsome and seems quite nice, but…"

"But?"

"But he is as dull as a lamppost. Perfect gentlemen, perfect teeth, perfect decorum, there is nothing interesting."

"You're right he sounds atrocious. I'm sure he makes his bed every morning too. You should see mine."

"A dirty room?"

"Of course not, our house elves clean it for us. I'm just inviting you for some fun."

Her laughter rang out, turning the heads of all the men and some women.

The song ended and I took Fleurs hand leading her away from the dancefloor.

Her mother and younger sister quickly joined us.

"Fleur, finally found someone you like? He is quite handsome, and look at those eyes," Apolline said, Gabrielle still held close to her.

Her accent was much thicker than her daughter's, and it sent a tingle down my spine as her ocean blue eyes my silver ones.

"Yes momma, this is Reigis…"

I took Apolline's hand and kissed her knuckles lightly. The woman didn't look a day over twenty, without a single wrinkle on her heavenly face.

"Gaunt," Fleur finished.

Apolline had a similar reaction to her daughter, freezing for a moment.

"I have to apologize for my grandfather, he can be…" I thought of a polite way to say what I was thinking, but just shrugged. "Unpleasant."

The mother had a silent conversation with her daughter for a moment before turning back to me.

"Well, this is a bit unexpected. I did not get along with your grandfather last we met. I hope you can prove to me that Gaunts are not all so… unpleasant," she finished with a smirk.

I was actually quite pleased that Veelas weren't just jumped up sex dolls. While I would definitely enjoy it, I think I would get bored of it quickly.

"I will do my best in that regard. Fleur and I were talking of exchanging letters while she attended Hogwarts."

"Good, I want her to take it slow. Covens can be cruel places for veela. Even with her father there were issues of jealousy with the other women."

That was a new perspective from what Fleur had talked about.

"I don't see anyone being mad at a woman like Fleur. She is an absolute gem."

"Hmm," though the woman smiled there was still a bit of hesitance in her demeanor. "How about you Mr. Gaunt, how is your Coven coming along?"

"Ah, this is my first social function so I do not know if it is seen as lesser or greater to have many open slots. At the moment there is only one taken by my fiance."

"Finace?"

"Daphne Greengrass."

"Oh her," Fleur said with a smirk. "She is a bit odd, not bad I think, and I constantly feel her gaze on my arse. Speaking of."

We turned and saw Leovon leading Daphne toward our little group. The girls face was cold, but her eyes oddly searching as she stared at me.

"We will get out of your way then. Fleur, lets go."

Fleur looked like she wanted to stay and watch, but reluctantly let her mother take her and lead her away.

I gave her a wink before bringing my attention back to the Greengrass pair.

"Reigis my boy, I'm glad to see you came. Were you having fun with the Delacours? I remember they caused quite the stir when they came to Britan. We've made great strides to equality but a lot of groups still consider them hybrids."

From my knowledge the Greengrasses were part of the Grey faction, and in this world they held the largest sway. The Dark faction never had the power or confidence Voldemort gave them and the Light faction never had a cause to fight for. Dumbledore was still distinctly in the Light side, but after Grindelwald he didn't have any notable achievements.

"Well I say if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then its a duck. And I do love duck."

Leovon raised and eyebrow not getting the allegory completely, but a quick tilt of Daphne's lips told me she got it. For anyone wondering I was saying veelas didn't act like animals and I wanted to eat up Fleur like a dish.

"Father, may I speak with Heir Gaunt alone?"

Leovon looked to his daughter for a moment, but shrugged.

"Sure dear, come find me when you are done."

Once the older man was gone Daphne turned her gaze to me.

"Miss Greengrass it is pleasure to meet you," I said, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles.

Her hand was cool to the touch, and the slightly stuffy atphoshere of the ballroom made me wish those hands were running along my chest.

"Heir Gaunt, may I call you Reigis as you will be my husband one day?"

"Of couse, only if I can call you Daphne."

She nodded curtly.

"Care to take a walk outside?" she asked.

"I'll lead the way."

I held out my arm to her and she looped her own around it. We walked in silence, leaving through wide open doors to the snowy plains of the fields.

"Are you upset that I was thinking of ending the engagement?" she asked.

Reigis had been, he had been told stories of how beautiful and smart Daphne was, and after being repressed by his grandfather his entire life he had thought she would be a light in the darkness. That was one of the reasons he had been so adamant about the ritual.

"I was, but I also didn't know you. The reason was also good," though a bit heartless. It put her a level down in my book, even if she was raised with pureblood beliefs.

She looked at me through the corner of her eye. Her posture was perfect and she was just close enough to be enticing without seeming improper.

"Do you know how many siblings I have?"

"Fif- sixteen," I corrected.

"Yes, I legally have fifteen sisters and one baby brother."

"Legally?"

She nodded.

"You see, while witches can marry muggle men, wizards cannot marry muggle women. Not only because they are unable to magically join a Coven, but because the law does not allow it. There are too few men for them to go off with random muggle women. The law states that wizards can only marry someone magical in nature."

"May I harbor a guess?"

"Hmm."

"I am guessing you have a half-sibling that is a bastard due to their mother being a muggle. Most likely female, and I am guessing that she and you are very close. I'd say amongst your sixteen other siblings she is most like a real sister to you."

"Close, very close," she said and I could tell she was happy with that little show of intelligence. "However I am also very close with my full-blooded sister Astoria. Her and Tracey are the two people I'm closest to."

"Tracey is the half-sister."

"Yes Tracey Davis; and I am not sure how your family's Covens are, but my fathers is not as peaceful as I think he believes. Tracey has been bullied and ostracized her entire life. But she is kind and compassionate, and I do not want her to be left there alone."

"So someone who could only at most have one in their Coven was unacceptable to you."

"Yes, so was a man who would not treat a half-blood well. Then there is my sister. Astoria I mean."

I gave Daphne a look of incredulity.

"You want me to bring all three of you into my Coven?"

"Yes," there was a slight blush of embarrassment on her face, but she quickly schooled her features.

"Most purebloods would never agree to that," I stated.

Covens, especially for pureblood men, were ways to build power through marriage. With the average man only having around seven slots most of those pureblood men would never think to have three members from the same family.

I however could have much more than seven.

"Why your sister as well?"

I think I already knew the answer, but asked anyway.

"She is sickly, and would never find a good husband otherwise. Father has failed twelve times to get her a good pureblooded fiance."

"I am sure there will be a few muggleborn men who would be okay with marrying her."

"And they also may not. Once Hogwarts starts up the non-betrothed purebloods and half-bloods will throw themselves at muggleborn men. With me I can at least make sure she is happy with family."

I stopped between the hedges of the garden we were walking through.

"Answer me honestly, do you just not want to be lonely?"

Her face colored again, her lips tightening.

"There should be nothing wrong with me wanting myself and my sisters to be happy."

"And you think I can make you all happy."

"I do not know you yet, but I hope so," she looked a bit guilty as she said her next words. "When the rumors of you being a squib first started circulating I decided to ask this same thing of Draco Malfoy. He said he would rather stick his prick in a unicorn than someone with mud in their blood like Tracey. And since one of your mothers is a muggleborn I was hoping that you would have different views."

"I do."

I was a "muggle" in my last life after all, I think at least.

I stared at Daphne for several seconds. This entire conversation she had been oddly formal, I at first chalked it up to her breeding, but it also seemed like she was comfortable like that. I remember Fleur saying she was odd, and I think I understood now. She was not good at social interaction or showing proper emotion. The Ice Queen of Hogwarts was autistic.

I smiled at her.

"I don't have an issue with any of that, but I want to make sure that they are choosing to do this and not just doing as you say."

She nodded.

"That is fine, if you can romance them that would be good, I know they read a lot of romance novels. I can give you the names of them if you want ideas of what to do."

"Sure, maybe send me a few that you like as well. You deserve to be swept off your feet as well," I said, running a hand down her arm.

Her pale face tinged red again.

"Y-yes, that is good… Reigis?"

"Yes?"

"My birthday will be soon, it is on the second of Febuary. If possible would you like to go out with me and my two sisters then? I believe it will be good for us to get to know one another."

"Sure, my grandfather has said that I need to start getting out more now. My birthday is the fifteenth of January by the way."

Now that I'm no longer an embarrassment.

"I know, I have already gotten a present for you."

"I see, I'm sorry to say I haven't gotten one for you yet."

"That is okay, I will send you my preferences via owl."

"I'd love to start a correspondence with you."

She smiled slightly at that.

"You… you will treat us well right?" She asked, trailing her hand down my arm until her fingers wrapped around my pinky.

For the first time she looked like the fourteen year old girl she was supposed to be. Still beautiful and oddly cold faced, but also trying to experience want and romance.

With my free hand I tilted her chin up.

"Daphne."

She looked at me with a quickly reddening face and I pressed my lips to hers gently. Her lips parted slightly and I slid my tongue into her mouth. I felt her body jolt in surprise for a moment before she moaned into me. One of her arms snaked around my neck while the other one ran through my hair thoroughly tousling it. Meanwhile I pressed her body to mine, feeling her small perky breasts press into me and held her by her delicate thin waist before moving my hands down to cup her ass. It was a bit difficult to feel through the thicker part of her skirts but I got the impression they were round and springy.

After a few moments we separated, our warm breaths steaming in the cool winter air. Daphne's eyes were slightly glazed and took a moment to refocus. When she did she panicked slightly and moved a bit away. I pushed down the frustration of losing the feeling of her ass in my hands.

"Ah, yes, a great first kiss, thank you."

"It was amazing Daph."

She smiled at the nickname before her eyes widened.

"I messed up your hair! And face."

Quickly she moved in, readjusting my hair and wiping my face with a handkerchief.

"Your makeup is a bit messed up," I said with a smirk. "I'm not good at makeup though so I can't fix it for you."

Her face was smeared red from her lipstick and she quickly took out one of those makeup kits women have. It opened up fixed her face on its own before she closed it.

"Good?" she asked.

"Beautiful."
