1 Chapter 1

You know, I find this kinda funny, one day I was walking back to my house and the next I was dead.

Let me explain, my name is Edward, and up until a day ago I've lived a somewhat average life, going to work every day, watching tv, playing video games, you know the normal stuff.

My life completely changed when I died in a terrible accident involving a truck; one would think that after that I would just vanish, imagine my surprise when I woke in a completely black area with a holographic pixelated blue screen in front of me with a message on it.

[Congratulations, you have become The Gamer, you will wake up soon in a new, but perhaps familiar world, rejoice!]

'The Gamer?.... the fuck is going on...' I panic, but in retrospective, my first thought was more than normal.

[Would you like to go through the tutorial? (New players are recommended to do so)

•YES/NO•]

"Yes," I said, after calming down a bit, this was an unusual experience.

[Let's begin then!

Basic commands, Commands come in two varieties, Soft and Hard.

••Soft commands can be activated with thoughts or speech.

On the other hand,

••Hard commands can only be activated through speech.

Please choose which form of commands you would like to use

Don't worry; the choice can be changed later in the Menu!.]

"Soft," I said, there wasn't much of a choice, with soft commands I could use my mind to do stuff, I didn't want to yell or say what I was going to do, people might think I'm crazy.

[For making a wise choice you have increased your WIS by 1

-To continue the tutorial think or say •Next'•]

'Next' I thought.

[Now it's time to teach you how the Menu works! open your Menu by thinking or saying Menu.]

'Menu' I thought, and a blue screen opened up with several options, many of them easily recognizable thanks to my years of playing RPGs.

[•Status•

•Skills•

•Inventory•

•Quests•

•Talents• (Locked until level 10)•

Let's start with your Status shall we?]

'Quests,' I thought, maybe with the questing system I would get an idea where I was.

[Options may or may not be locked during the tutorial, so let's follow the tutorial, for now, shall we?]

'Status it is then,' I inwardly chuckled.

[•Edward

•Level: 1•

•HP: 50•

•HPR: 0.5/min•

•MP: 0•

•MPR: 0/min•

•STR: 5•

•VIT: 5•

•DEX: 5•

•INT: 5•

•WIS: 6•

•LUCK: 5•

•Stat Points: 0•

•Exp: 0/100]

•Money: 0 ?•

•Condition: Normal•]

'Well, it's safe to say that I'm weak... and poor great,' I thought, looking through the information.

[Don't be sad!, here let's give you •5 Stat points• to improve your stats so you can get the power you need!.]

'And let me guess, I won't be able to move on until I expend those points?.' I thought examining my stats.

[By noticing the obvious you have increased your INT and WIS by 1]

'Sounds like every RPG, alright! Let's see… Not knowing what world I'm going really troubles and makes this decision hard, so I guess I'll go with warrior stats during the beginning, let's see.....2 points into DEX so that I can avoid damage and move a bit faster, and 2 points into STR because being strong physically speaking is good in any game, and my last point.... will go to VIT, I love having more HP than I need to... and 50HP sounds like a really really low amount.' I thought as I applied the stat points, carefully.

[Your careful planning on how to apply your stat points has increased your WIS by 1]

"Okay farming INT and WIS sure is easy...." I deadpanned, I was never one to go with a mage unless the game forced me to, in every game I play I would go the warrior, and if had to use magic it would be something like a Paladin, or the likes, that are like a warrior mixed with magic in some way.

[By understanding that critical thinking levels some stats you have increased your WIS by 1]

'Wow, I will be Confucius by the end of this!' I thought with a chuckle.

[Good, now let's return to the Menu so that we can continue!]

'Alright, let's see what else weirdly intelligent Gamer AI.' I thought.

[Flattering will get you nowhere, I'm only here during tutorials, so don't get used to it.

Now let's go into the Skills menu.]

The AI tutorial system can't take a joke, duly noted.

'Skills.' I thought, deciding to follow with the tutorial.

[•Gamer's Mind - PASSIVE - Level: Max•

•Gamer's Body - PASSIVE - Level: Max•

•Observe - ACTIVE - Level: 1•

This is your skills list, would you like to continue?]

'Well, nothing to defend myself, but I sure got two really powerful passive skills, the Gamer's Body makes my body just like a video game characters, meaning so long as I keep my HP up I won't be affected by pain as much, I think I only get the initial shock of pain, and it goes away and then comes Gamer's Mind that allows me to keep calm in any situation, which considering how bad things can go... it's awesome and last but not least Observe is an awesome skill that gives me information about what I see, the higher the level the skill has the more information I gather, sweet.' I thought happy, while I didn't get a powerful attack or something it sure was good what I got.

[By remembering how the skills work without clicking the skills you have increased your INT by 1]

'Nice, though without Mana, what does INT really does... maybe I need to unlock my magic or something,' I thought as I remembered that I had no mana.

[By noticing that you will have to find a way to unlock or acquired magic, your WIS has increased by 1!

Now Let's return to the Menu]

'Menu,' I thought, then once the Menu showed up I figured it was time to see if I had anything useful like a weapon something, next on the list, 'Inventory.'

An empty screen appeared, with many slots to put stuff in it, my Inventory had an infinite number of tabs which meant I could carry the freaking world there.

[As you might have guessed this is your Inventory, and it's an infinite space to store anything and everything you can horde, for the minor exception of living beings, we can't have you storing humans inside now? Can we?

It's empty right now, so let's get you something, take your pick.]

•Weapon•

•Skill Book•

•Food•

•Money•

•I'm a man, so I need nothing!•

"Why is the last option even an option… Okay, let's see food would be nice, but then again it might be a consumable and that runs out fast, so it's little impractical right now, considering I still have no fucking idea where I'm going. Money sure is a helpful thing, but I'm a level one, the chances of getting a good amount are as low as my self-esteem during high school, so the only real choices are the Weapon or the Skill Book. Hmm… A new skill would be neat, but the system is not showing me what skill, it could be something like cooking or fishing.... so I think I rather go for the Weapon, a good knife works in almost every situation." I said after carefully going over each option.

With that being said, a short sword appears on my Inventory.

[Your careful consideration of the choices given to you has increased your WIS by 1]

I chuckled as the notification appeared as I focused on the Sword in my Inventory, "Observe." I said, trying to get more information.

[•Short Sword •

•One hand•

•12-24 Damage•

•Sell Price: 1 Stag coin•

This small straight Sword is widely used, and it's popularity it's only matched, to an extent by the longsword.

It's an accessible sword which inflicts a fairly decent amount of damage, and its cheap price makes it easy for anyone to have.

]

The Sword had a decent damage, and it also gave me something to defend myself, it was the best option.

I immediately equipped the Sword, to be ready just in case.

[Now let's move on to the next option, Quests!]

"Meh, quests." I chuckled, and immediately after the screen changed to one that looked like an old scroll.

[•Quest's•

•Learning the basics - TUTORIAL (In Progress)•]

'Learning the basics' I thought, trying to get more information about it.

[•Learning the basics - TUTORIAL

•Main Objective: Complete the Tutorial!]

•Reward: +100 Exp

•Bonus Objective: Select a weapon, 75 Exp]

'Okay, so I suppose now I have to check the locked option' I thought.

[By realizing the obvious your WIS has increased by 1

The •Talents• option allows you to select special skills that are locked by the class; you get one talent point every 5 levels after level 10!

So don't worry if you grind hard enough you will be able to get all the talents for every class available!]

"So like World of Warcraft," I chuckled as I imagined the power of the light of a paladin at my hands, can you blame me, I love Paladins, I'm not a justice freak, but I find their powers to be cool, I also love Warriors, and Rogues!

[Congratulations, you have completed the tutorial and now prepare yourself, for you are about to wake up in a new world, Edward! And enjoy being •The Gamer•]

[Quest Complete: Learning the basics

DING!

You gained 1 level!]

At that moment, the world around me started to change drastically, and I found myself staring at a map, one that I knew all too well.

The map of Westeros.

'Well... boy am I glad I got that sword,' I inwardly chuckled.

[Please select your house to begin!

•The North - House Stark•

•The Vale and the mountains - House Arryn•

•The Iron Islands - House Greyjoy•

•The Rivers - House Tully•

•The Rock AKA Casterly Rock - House Lannister•

•The Reach/Highgarden - House Tyrell•

•The Stormlands - House Baratheon•

•The Desert Dorne - House Martell•

Each option had sub houses and stuff, but I already knew what house I wanted mostly because I wanted to avoid some stuff, so I decided to go with House Stark, the only house, without plots within the plots.

[•Edward Stark

[You are Catelyn Stark's second-born child, being the non-identical twin of Robb Stark, making you the second on line to inherit the north, are you okay with this?]

'Yes,' I nodded, as the world changed around me, snow covering everywhere.

Guys this will be my main fic, the Kakashi one will get updates every two weeks, this one will get a minimum of 4 chapters weekly.

The game system or the gamer because is not a system will be heavily influenced in many popular games like World of Warcraft, Diablo 1-2-3, etc.

Money system in Westeros.

//Copper Coins

**Halfpenny (Lowest possible denomination)

**Penny, equals 2 Halfpennies.

**Half Groat, equals 2 pennies.

**Groat, equals 4 pennies.

**Star, equals 2 Groats or 8 pennies.

///Silver Coins

**Stag, equals 7 stars or 56 pennies.

**Moon, equals 49 stars or 392 pennies.

////Gold Coins

**Dragons, equals 30 Moons, 210 Stags or 11,760 pennies.

So, in conclusion...

One Gold Dragon = 30 Silver Moons = 210 Silver Stags = 1470 Stars = 2940 Groats = 5880 Half Groats = 11760 Pennies = 23250 Half Pennies.

Confusing I know, Google it up :S
