"Karma, is there any way you can level up without killing monsters?"
"There is but..."

"Well, we can spar..." I say.

"Yeah, that's the only way to get exp without killing monsters."

I sigh.
"Our weapons just need to clash that's all."

Ika suddenly blushes at the awkward atmosphere.
"L-L-L-Lets do this!" She says.

For the next 6 hours, we constantly clash and fight.
Ika gained about 900000 exp while I gained 900.
I managed to level up my level to 1 and gained 10 stats and skill points.
I tried using the skill points on the handicap, hoping to reduce the -100% but I can't seem to use the skills points on that.
In the end, I use it on a skill I gained overnight from constantly swinging my katana to her dagger.

I wear the swat armour and my Def went up to 130.
"Alright let's go," I say.
"En."
I slowly open the door as I check my navigator. No visible spiders.
I signal to Ika and we both silently tip-toed our way to the exit.
But a spider is blocking the path...again. However, it is sleeping.

I take out the force field emitter I found in the vault. Never thought it will be useful. I activate it and it surrounds the entire area.
I tested things out by asking Ika to stand outside and calling out to me in a normal talking sound. I did not hear anything at all, good.
I lift my katana and stab the spider.
It cried out loud like a baby screaming in an aeroplane...luckily I placed the force field.

We walk to the door trap and open it. All the sand accumulated on top overnight falls right in and I had to try to cover my face.

Looks like some got into Ika's mouth.
After it settles down, I look out and feels a huge wind and sand flying everywhere.
"It's a sandstorm," I say, wrapping a cloth around my face like a mask.
Ika did the same.
"Can we contact them?"
"No... it's still blocked." Says Ika.
Tch...
I grab Ika's hand as we can easily get lost with our limited vision being blocked by the sand.
"The city is that way, let's go."

We managed to reach the city and settle in a building.
Ugh...some sand got into my eyes.
I need water...
I take out a bottle of water and pour it over my face, especially my eyes and drink the remaining.
Ika stares at my bag.
"What? You don't have water?"
"Uh...yeah. I don't like carrying heavy stuff so Reina helped me."
"I see..." I say, passing one bottle to her.
She happily takes it and gulps everything down quickly.

"Want some food?" I ask.
"Yes please..." Says Ika, blushing.
I gave her two burgers and took one for myself. She gulps both of them down as if there's no tomorrow.

"Hey hey! Eat slowly, no one is snatching it."
I pass Ika another bottle of water and she drinks it.
"Y-Yeah...sorry about that."

"If you were hungry, why didn't you tell me?"
"I-I don't want to burden you..." Says Ika.
I sigh. "So you don't trust me?"

"Then ask for help. We are a team, remember?"

Seeing Ika cheer up, I feel relieved myself too.
