Chapter 22

This is giving me vibes of hitman and assassin creed...i feel like one now.

I climb out through the back window of the apartment.

A back alley huh...

I push a dumpster and lean it against the fence around the construction site.

Hope no one hears the screeching rusting sound of the wheels.

I hop onto it and climb over.

The construction area is surrounded by a huge fence. It has about 29 levels and is as big as you would expect a company to be.

I quickly hide behind the pillar nearest when I hear footsteps.

"Still nothing?"

"Yeah."

"What the heck!!! how long are we going to wait out here!!"

"Shhhh! There are monsters out there."

"Ugh..."

While they are complaining their ass off, I sneak behind and performed a clean slice, beheading them. I then haul their corpse before dumping it into a hole and covering it up with sand.

Just in case anyone walks by and I didn't notice... won't hurt trying to be extra careful right?

"The people below won't respond."

I appear from above and slice both of them up.

Phew, what a bloodbath.

"You!! You are Karma!!" Shouts someone from behind.

Oh? I missed one.

He runs behind me and tries to attack with a knife but I duck and follow up with a spinning slash to his leg.

"Arghhh!!!!!!!!"

Idiot, trying to fight me using blades.

Losing his feet must have felt pain.

Don't worry, let me put you out of your misery.

I step on his head to finish him, it lets out a nice crack.

"Hello! Over! What's going on? I heard a scream from your side!!" Says the walkie-talkie on one of the corpses.

Should I try to fake it? Nah, they will notice. I should just move on to the building C batch, Silverfish is sleeping soundly in that office too.

"Shit!! We have been attacked-"

I step on the walkie-talkie and start moving.

I peek down from the construction site. They are setting up snipers on the sixth floor and the roof. A group carrying assault rifles is moving here behind a group with police shields.

This formation...

Is useless against me.

*BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!*

I threw several barrages of grenades down. Although it did not kill that many as I expected, it still attracted the enraged monsters.

"On top!!!!! He is on top- ARGHHHHHH!!!!!"

That guy died shouting my position because a horned serpent drilled through his torso.

All the snipers took note of that and searched for me on the upper floors. But, I predicted this and went down back to the alley.

I peer out and see that countless monsters are running towards this area. My navigator is going crazy locating all these red dots.

Hmm...should I wait it out? No, this is the perfect chance to kill the rest.

So instead, I decided to cover my scent by smearing a lotion I bought from the store just now.

1 minute is also more than enough.

With a Deja vu of jaywalking, I observe to find an opportunity gap and dash through.

Alright next...i break the glass window and climbs in. This office is submerged into the sand too. Its lobby and the second level is inaccessible now.

To the left of me is the stairs and to the right, I can see a hole on top.

Stairs it is then.

I sneak up the stairs and go to the sixth floor. There are two snipers at this level, they seem to be discussing my whereabouts judging by their frustrated expression haha!!

I pull out my knife and assassinate them.

"What's wrong? What's with all that noise?" Says Silverfish at the top floor.

"We have been attacked!!!" Shouts someone from the walkie-talkie.

"Huh?! Then fend it off! Is it Karma?!"

"Yeah it is him but somehow, the monsters are attacking us too-"

The walkie-talkie cuts off as the person die.

"Arghh!!! All useless!!!!" He rants.

I walk up the stairs, purposely creating stepping sounds to alert Silverfish.

"What?..."

He quickly loads the "legendary" weapons with him and aims at the stairs.

When I appear, he clicks his tongue and puts his weapon down.

"You again! Why are you here?! Go down and fight! I'm not paying you trash to slack!!!"

I smirk and disable my fake username.

"K-Karma!!!! You!! Don't come near me-"

Says Silverfish as he brings his rifle up.

Too slow.

I instantly dash towards him and deflect the rifle out of his hand using my katana.

It flew out of the window and left Silverfish defenceless.

"W-Wait!" Says Silverfish, falling onto the ground. "Let's negotiate okay?!"

"And why should I negotiate with someone who wants to kill me?"

"I-I have lots of legendary weapons, armour, materials and stuff!! You won't regret it!!"

Pfft!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

"What-"

I stab his leg.

"ARGHHHHH!!!! W-Why!!?? Don't you want my-"

"What crap, those are not yours, those are things that you extort and steal from other players. They were never once earned by yourself." I say.

"They were!!! I paid money for it!!"

"SO WHAT?! Is that money yours? Did you earn them yourself?! No, you didn't. It was all earned by your hardworking father. I feel pity for him, having such rubbish son like you."

"You!! YOU!!! DON'T YOU CALL ME THAT!!!!!" Shouts Silverfish.

Heh...that's his weakness. Since he is useless, everyone has been pitying his father and calling Silverfish useless trash. It is true though. All he does all day is flirt around and look down on everyone.

He is a very fat scumbag with a huge appetite for high-quality food.

He also thinks money can solve everything.

Once, Silverfish, or should I say Lim Kong, raped a girlfriend of his classmate before.

And that's not the worse thing he did, the worse is that he even tried bribing the girl to keep her mouth shut and paid for the abortion. Eventually, she told her boyfriend and he reported Lim Kong to the police.

But! He was released the next day. Why? Corruption.

He bribed the police officers and hired a gang to kill the two people who caused his arrest.

As a result, a rumour spreads in his academy after the couple goes missing and Lim Kong is released. Everyone notices something suspicious here and decided to isolate themselves including the instructors from Lim Kong, running away whenever they see him.

The rumour spreads as far as to his family and prestigious people close to his family.

Well, the moral of the story? He's a piece of shit to the core.

Silverfish immediately equips a rocket launcher in desperation and fires. Blowing up the entire place while he is saved because of a force shield he got. It's a legendary grade too.

He is thrown out of the building and falls onto the road.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! TAKE THAT!!! YOU TRASH-"

"No...no impossible!!" Says Silverfish. "H-How are you still alive!!!"

His eyes widen as he loses his energy in his legs.

I smirk as I jump down from the blown-up ruin. Not even a bit of my HP is gone.

I check my status.

I walk to him slowly.

All the monsters around us felt my murderous aura and ran away.

"W-What?!! The monsters...they are running away..." Says Silverfish, looking around, then he looks back to me and kneels onto the ground.

"Please have mercy!! I'm begging you!! I will leave you alone!!! I will change!! Please-"

I grab his arm and twist it.

"ARGHHHHHH!!!!!"

His screams of pain are the best feeling in this world!! I can't believe beating up a scumbag is so much fun!!

"Wait!! Wait!!! NOO-"

I chop his leg.

I fracture his elbow.

I stab his other leg and so on...

"N-No...S-Spare....me..."

"Oh? You can still talk?! Alright then...for the finishing touch."

I throw two daggers and they pierce through his eyes. With a swing of my katana, I slice him into two whole.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

His screams of pain echoed throughout the city. Every monster in the area is now inflicted with the "fear" status effect.

Hehehehehe...

After realising the mess I have done, I let go of my katana and it drops onto the ground.

"Young master? What's wrong-"

"SHUT UP!! SHUT UP!!!! SHUT UP!!!!!!!" Lim kong shouts to his maid. "KARMA!!!! I WANT HIM DEAD!!!! FIND HIM!!! FIND HIM AND KILL HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
