1 New school, new life

It's been two years. So that means it's been two times. Ever since I lost her... I felt empty. I attempted suicide... twice. Once a year I get to a point when I full like I over dosed on depression. And I try to commit.

First time I cut myself and I let myself bleed. Second time I drowned myself. And I truly thought that would work. But I guess I didn't.

"Hey! Wake up it's your first day of school." My dad said banging on my door. He walked away thinking that I've woken up (which I have). It's funny how I'm sixteen and this is gonna be my first day of high school. Been home schooled since I was in seventh grade...

I get up and get ready for school. I walk down the stairs and see my brother drinking coffee. "You shouldn't be drinking coffee. You're to young." I said in sign language. "I'm twelve! I'm not that young." He exclaimed. "I'm sorry Mattias but dad and me have to go to work early today. So are you cool walking to school?" Mom asked me. I nodded in response. "Okay. You should leave early then." Mom said. I nod again and grab an apple, book-bag, phone and leave.

Since it's chilly today I decided to wear my hoodie. While walking to school I saw this dude drive by. He stops.

"It looks like you going in the direction of Fairbell high. Want a ride?" The stranger said. He looked nice and trusting, but I don't know. Should I get in the car with him or not?

"So, ya coming?" He asked while making a bubble with gum. Well, what do I have to lose. Plus, it might start raining. I walk over to the passenger side and he unlocked the door and I hesitate to get in. "So, what's your name?" The guy asked. I looked at him in a way saying 'I can't say'. Now I would but, I haven't talked in two years. I don't even know how my voice sound like...

"Um, okay." He says awkwardly. He turns the music up and my face lit up surprisingly 'cause of the song he plays. Cloud 9. The song is absolutely amazing.

After the song is over he turns the volume of the radio down. "I was gonna go get some breakfast. You want some?" He asks nicely. He is nice but people can change rather quickly. So I grab his phone, opens it, put my number in and text myself. "Uh, what are doing?" The man say. I look at him while pulling my phone out my pocket. I text him.

"What's your name? "

"My name is Julian." Julian says out loud.

"Okay, my name is Mattias. If your getting breakfast I want waffles, eggs, and sausages. And by the way I'm mute. Meaning I can't talk."

"Okay. Hey, Mattias." I blush from the way he says my name.

We pull into the parking lot of the school and since we have seven minutes left we start eating. "So I'm pretty sure your a new student so you should go to the principle's office." I stare at him for a few seconds. I didn't know if I should follow him or not. I watch to many movies. But then again I did just get in the car with him. "You don't have to worry. I'm not one of those crazy teens who kidnap people. You can trust me." I blush from his kindness.

"So you want me to show you the principle's office?" He asks taking he's car keys out. I nodded.

We both walk in school and I blush by being so close to him. I think I was getting butterflies.

We zigzag around the students until we get to a door that says Principle's Office. We open the door and see the principle reading paper on his desk.

"Oh, Mr. Julian. What are you doing here?" The Principle asked. "Don't act like you don't know me, dad." Julian chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. And who's this?" He asks raising an eyebrow. "This is Mattias. And Mattias this is my dad, Mr. Gallagher." Julian says awkwardly. "Oh. You're Alberto's son. The one who's mute?" He asks trying not to offend me. I nod. "Okay, Mr. Fiore here's your schedule." Mr. Gallagher says.

"Now that your all set up I'm going to science." Julian says. We both exit the class and we go in different directions. The halls are empty. I go to my locker and to make sure the code works. I close it and while turning around I bump into this dude who was taller than me. And looked scary. Since I couldn't say sorry I was planning on walking away but he had other plans...

"Hey, watch where you're going freak" He says while pushing me to my locker. I look around and see no one else in the hallway. I just know I'm in trouble.
