The plot is quite funny and interesting, the MC is a transmigrator has a strong and proud personality, the male lead is a chauvinistic man quite understandable because of the time setting of the novel. Also the time setting is quite novel at least for me so it's a little refreshing even in the cliche parts. Although it is machine translated it's more readable than a lot of original works here in webnovel. I'm looking forward for the editing of the book!

Love the characters, the female lead work hard to improve herself and change her fate . She is a strong woman and she know what she wants and work hard to achieve them. She works hard to protect her loved ones and helps others, may it be her sister, her family as well as friends. Easy reading and satisfying .. I have saved this novel as one of my favourites. Not only is it free - it's an outstanding read!! I spent days ignoring other novels i am following to finish this! I highly recommend! The FL is a reincarnated/transmigrated soul with a complex 1st life experience. She is a rather passionate woman with strong character and a cool, calm temperament. The ML is a typical domineering, cold and handsome man with a complicated family background. Their chemistry is explosive and yet this is more of a slow burn romance which gives the FL time to develop. There are alot of misunderstandings which are caused by the ML's scheming and lack of communication. Despite this, the story is still reasonably paced and there is plenty of exciting twists and turns to keep the reader interested. I enjoyed this so much and I am keen to find out if Xia Zijun has his own story. In fact, I'd be happy to read anything by Duo Yanya if there are other stories!!

This one is quite interesting. It was nice to have a glimpse of how life was in China before the era of open market economy--the politics, sociocultural living, and the people's behavior. The romance development was a bit slow, and i kinda feel that the ML wasnt tortured enough after he was such an as*hole. All in all, this one is pretty interesting.
As the editor of this story, it was a wild ride. I felt satisfied seeing the main couple's relationship slowly grow and blossom. There was character growth inside the story, which was deeply satisfying for me. The main couple overcomes the various challenges that were placed in their way, and there were heart-wrenching moments here and there that made me shed a few tears. The story has come to an end, and it was an ending that I was deeply satisfied with. Would recommend you to read it if you have the free time. :)
