12 A New Prophecy: The Son of Chaos

Chapter 11: A New Prophecy: The Son of Chaos

In a huge hall at Hogwarts, 4 long tables were spread out with different types of dishes and drinks and accommodated a group of children and teenagers, all wearing similar clothes but with some different colored details in some parts, which differentiated them from the other children at the other tables.

In the center of the room, there was another table, a little smaller and in a slightly higher position. The teachers were sitting there, enjoying the enthusiasm of the children and looking around at their students, who were in their final year and who would soon leave for their own journeys away from the comfort and security of Hogwarts.

At the center of all of this was Albus Dumbledore, known as the greatest white wizard of the century and headmaster of Hogwarts. He had long, white hair and a long beard. His deep blue eyes looked at the children in front of him with a certain amount of apprehension.

Dumbledore knew that next school year, Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, would come to Hogwarts. He also knew that soon the wizarding world would be in turmoil.

Normally, even though such a thing was worrying, he still managed to remain optimistic, to say the least. However, the previous night, he was visited by Professor Trelawney and received a new prophecy.

Looking to the side, he saw the woman eating vigorously while ignoring the gazes of the surrounding others. Sibylla Trelawney was a mixed-race witch and descended from the lineage of Cassandra Trelawney, a great seer of the past.

Due to this and other factors, Sybill made small predictions and things like that, but in reality, they were just jokes and other ways of deceiving the most gullible. She even tried to do this with Dumbledore when she met him and applied for a teaching position at Hogwarts.

Obviously, Dumbledore was no fool, and he immediately realized that she was a fake. However, just when he was about to give up on her, she made the prophecy that changed the wizarding world and led to the downfall of Voldemort.

Worried about her safety, Dumbledore ended up offering her a job and keeping her close by to keep her safe and, of course, in case she made another prophecy, and so it happened. The night before, after dinner, while he was in her office, she ended up going to him. Before Dumbledore could ask the reason for the visit, he noticed that Sybill looked completely strange, and so she made the second true prophecy.

At the hands of chaos, he was generated, and a new life was given to him.

A Hogwarts servant of light and darkness approaches

In a waltz with 7 couples he is the master of ceremonies, each couple has their opposite and their name they declaim.

Life and death, sadness and joy, love and hate

When two become one, duality is a certainty

Making your heart the ruler of the scales of desire

After making the prophecy, Sibyl returned to normal, and when she found herself before Dumbledore, she just smiled awkwardly and left, wondering why she was there.

Unable to get the prophecy out of his mind, Dumbledore stayed in her office and began to think. And now facing the young wizards, Dumbledore felt a bit apathetic, he feared the future that awaited them, and he feared the future that the wizarding world might have to face. Honestly, he didn't have confidence that he could stop a second Voldemort, he was tired and had already fought two great dark wizards, one of whom was his great companion.

The only thing that kept him at "peace" was that the prophecy mentioned a balance, which means that the young man, whoever he was, still had great hopes of following the right path.

- Dumbledore

Suddenly, Dumbledore came out of his thoughts when he was called by Minerva. Looking at her, Dumbledore just waved, and she lightly touched the cup with her knife, managing to catch the attention of everyone in the great hall.

Dumbledore stood up and stood in front of the students, and just as he was about to begin his speech, an owl appeared and flew towards him. After handing him a letter, he left. Looking at the sender, Dumbledore was a bit surprised and put the letter away before turning to the students.

- Dear students, another year comes to an end, and as is tradition, we will present the cup to the house champion. In fourth place is Hufflepuff with 327 points. In third place is Gryffindor with 362 points. In second place is Ravenclaw with 402 points. And in first place for the 7th year in a row, the cup goes to the Slytherin house with 456 points.

The Slytherin students stood up and began to celebrate, while the other houses applauded for politeness, with the Hufflepuffs being the most cordial and the Gryffindors being the most mocking. Hufflepuffs didn't really care much for them, they just had to do their best, and they usually got along with any house, even Slytherin. Already, Gryffindor has a feud with Slytherin.

After the farewell lunch, Dumbledore went to his office and started reading Fudge's letter. Although Dumbledore supports Fudge, it is not because he has any appreciation for or respect for the man. He just felt that a person like Fudge, who was very attached to power, would be more committed to it and his affairs, thus making his life easier.

Dumbledore had spent 11 years preparing for Voldemort's possible return, so someone like Fudge was good because he was "controllable", At least that's what Dumbledore believed.

Reading the letter, he quickly skipped the praise directed at him and went straight to the part where he mentioned a possible ritual using people as sacrifices. Due to the chaos in the area, no Auror could do anything, and because of this, he sought Dumbledore's advice.

Seeing the words in the letter, Dumbledore frowned and waved his hand, calling Fawkes, his phoenix, and disappearing in a small tornado of flames that ended up scattering some papers that were on the table. He headed toward the ministry to check if what happened was linked to the prophecy he received from Trelawney.

*********

While Dumbledore was reporting to the Ministry, in his underground base, Simon was having some problems with his left eye. Although he could keep it closed and still have a view of his surroundings, he would much rather not have to walk around like a one-eyed man wearing an eye patch, although he admitted that his appearance looked pretty cool.

He was trying to control the amount of information received by his eye, it seemed like he was able to see through everything, and nothing could be hidden from him. Although that was a good thing, his brain couldn't handle so much information at once, and that made him feel overwhelmed.

- Fuck it, I'll keep it closed until I can filter the excess information. My worry now should be how to get rid of the chimeras.

Thinking about having to feed the almost 20 chimeras apart from the hybrids, Simon began to feel tired. Each one ate a total of up to 8 kg of meat, and although sometimes he killed one to feed another or gave the bodies of his failed experiments for consumption, the work of taking care of each one was still great

- Frankly, I don't believe that Stephanos had so much work taking care of them, if he had told me earlier, I would have killed at least a few more to lessen his workload.

While sighing, Simon headed towards the place where the chimeras were trapped and started taking them one by one to his training site, where he used them to train his reflexes and his transmutation speed in battle. When he got tired, he killed them and took their bodies into a freezer to be used as food for the hybrids.

*******************

Sorry for the delay with the chapter. I'm trying to keep at least 3 per week, but this one was complicated, and I could only send 1. I'll try to send more this week—at least 5.

As for the prophecy, I would like to apologize to the reader "Zack_shinigami", I know you wrote me one, and I really liked it, but I saw that it was a little out of what I wanted. I tried to fit it in this chapter, but I couldn't, so I hope you understand.
