A Fated Mistake

“ I was not fondling your Beta,” I reply rolling my eyes at him. “For such a mighty powerful Alpha, you didn’t even notice that your Beta purposely tripped me.” “Did you just roll your eyes at me?” Damien growled while leering at me, ignoring my comment about Alex tripping me on purpose. Something about the aggression he was showing started to build a fire in my core. I bit my lip, before looking up at him. “And if I did?” I asked egging him on. As soon as I said the words I knew I had made a mistake. Damien lunged at me, grabbing me around the waist dragging me to the couch, laying his firm body against mine. “ I could smell your arousal the minute you set eyes on me. And now you’re tempting me by biting that lip and rolling your eyes.” Damien growled, in my ear. ********************************************************************** Damien is the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack. Chapter 11

GUINEVERE

I didn't know how many times Damien and I had sex this morning, but I do know one thing, I don't think I'll ever get enough of him. Once my Heat calmed down, Damien carried me back down to the SUV and buckled me in gently, and then we headed back to The Lunar Moon pack. I must have fallen asleep in the car again because by the time I finally woke up, I was lying on the bed in the room that Damien and I had been given. Damien was nowhere around. I got off the bed and tore off my clothes from before. I went to the bathroom and ran myself a hot bubble bath. Once the tub was filled, I got in and submerged myself in the water and closed my eyes, relaxing in the depth of the tub; while it wasn't a hot spring, the warm water did well, soothing my aching body.

Guinevere... Guinevere." I hear a delicate female voice calling my name. I open my eyes, and to my shock, I am no longer in the bathroom but back at the clearing where I had first shifted with Damien. A beautiful woman is standing before me. She radiated power. She had long curly jet black hair, pale creamy white skin, and bright blue eyes. On her forehead, she had a crescent moon tattoo.

"Guinevere," she called out to me again, "Do you know who I am?"

"I'm sorry," I respond to the mysterious woman, "I don't think we've met before." Surely I would've remembered such a majestic being.

"Guinevere, I am Luna DelFrey, Daughter of Persephone and Mars. You probably know me better as the Moon Goddess."

My mouth dropped open in shock. Why would the Moon Goddess be visiting me?

"Guinevere, listen closely as I have something important to tell you. You are in grave danger; you must complete the mating process with your destined mate. Jupiter is coming, and you need to be at your complete power source to beat him, Guinevere. You're no ordinary werewolf. Sabrina, my child, will protect you. But for Sabrina's powers to activate, she must be marked by her destined mate."

"Wait," I shouted, throwing my hands up. "Jupiter, your ex fiancé is coming here? Why? And why am I in danger?"

"I'm sorry, Guinevere," the moon goddess whispered. "Our time is running out. I can't answer your questions but remember that Damien is the key. Believe in the mate bond, Guinevere."

DAMIEN

Last night and this morning with Guinevere had been fantastic. Even after our morning romp, my body still craved her. Even after Leo told me Guinevere was in Heat, I still wanted to plant my seed in her. I knew Guinevere would make an amazing mother, and I wanted her to have my pups. I wanted Guinevere to be my Luna, but I didn't want to take that choice from her, and I didn't t want to cause her any more pain. I knew that Guinevere still wanted to leave the Blue Moon pack, and I didn't want to make her stay against her own will. I wanted her to stay because she wanted me as much as I did. I wanted her to stay because she realized she needed me just as much as I needed her. There was a slight possibility that Guinevere was already pregnant with my pup, but I chose to keep that possibility out of my mind. I had never really been a what-if type of guy. I was hesitant to leave her alone in our room at the packhouse, but I couldn't afford to miss this meeting with Asher. It was essential for the future of my pack that I locked in an alliance with The Lunar Moon Pack. This morning, Alex had sent me a text advising me that scouts had seen more Rouges in the area near the pack. Leo was nervous, and so was I. Something was coming; something was causing the rouges to venture closer to our pack, knowing they'd be killed immediately if they crossed our boundary. The rouges were more scared of whatever was coming than being demolished by the pack warriors. I also knew that Sabrina's appearance had something to do with whatever was coming. I shook my head to clear it as I walked into Asher's office.

"Damien," Asher said, standing up from his chair. "I'm surprised you came alone. I didn't think you'd be able to tear yourself away from that Beautiful vixen Guinevere."

Hearing Guinevere's name on Asher's lips made me want to punch him. I swallowed my anger and chuckled. "Gwynn was exhausted from all our physical activities this morning; she sends her regards."

"What a lucky wolf you are, Damien; let me know when you're done with her. If she's still mateless, I wouldn't mind spending time with her."

I let out a low growl.

"Or not," Asher laughed, "still as possessive as ever."

Asher cleared his throat and sat back down at his desk, indicating for me to sit down on the chair opposite him. A few minutes of small chat later, we got down to the nitty-gritty of what our Alliance would entitle. After an hour of serious negotiations, Asher and I agreed, and I headed back to the room. I missed my little she-wolf. To my disappointment, I entered our room, and Guinevere was no longer in bed. I saw that the lights to the bathroom were on, so I knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked again, but still no answer.

"Guinevere, if you don't answer right now, I will come in." Three seconds passed, and still no answer. I opened the door and saw Guinevere submerged in the water, her eyes wide open. My heart soars to my throat. "Gwynn, Gwynn," I yelled her name. Oh dear goddess, Please let her be okay.

GUINEVERE

My vision became fuzzy, and suddenly I felt my body being jerked out of the water.

"Gwynn, Gwynn, are you okay?" Asked Damien, concern written all over his face. "I just got back, and you were completely submerged in the water, yo...you looked like you were dead."

I reached out and grabbed Damien's hand. "I'm fine, Damien."

My head was throbbing, and I couldn't remember what I had dreamed about, only that it held some importance.

"Good," Damien said, relief crossing over his face, "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you," Damien whispered.

We stared at each other in silence for a few minutes, and then Damien cleared his throat. "Rose wants to meet with us in an hour to speak about the mate bond."

"Oh, okay," I respond. The flutters in my heart dying down, I felt slightly disappointed that Damien still wanted to meet with Rose. After our experiences together these last few days, I thought that he'd decided to give our bond a chance.

"Gwynn, I'm also going to ask her a few questions about Sabrina."

"Sabrina?" I asked, raising my eyes quizzically, "What do you want to know about my Wolf Damien." Damien cleared his throat again, looking a little flustered.

"Sabrina isn't an ordinary wolf, Gwynn. She's a white wolf, but on top of that, she also has a crescent moon on her forehead."

His mention of a crescent moon made me recall an image of the woman from my dream.

"Okay... so what's so important about that?"

"White wolves are a rarity in the Werewolf Kingdom. White wolves are normally stronger than the average wolf. Sabrina's crescent moon also means she's a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess."

The moon goddess? Why would she gift me, the daughter of a traitor, with her descendant as my wolf, and why would she visit me in my dream.

"Damien, do you think it's weird the moon goddess would gift me with her descendant?"

Damien paused for a minute before answering. "I think it means that you're exceptional, Gwynn," he said, "but I also think we must be missing something important that's about to happen. I hope Rose can answer our questions."
