Chapter 52

"My name is Nargol." The woman said.

"Nargol, as in the land where Modes resides in?"

When the woman heard the name Modes, her eyes flashed with a look of hatred.

"I assume you are his mother?" Seal said when he noticed the deep hatred in Nargol's eyes.

"Mother? Pfft, I don't have a son like that damn pig bastard. He was a creation I made to get revenge on Orgis." Nargol snorted.

"Aren't you suppose to be dead?"

"No, since I've said my name, shouldn't you say yours?" Nargol said, dissatisfied.

"Seal Azathoth. Now, answer the question."

"...I am dead. My soul is sealed inside this space after Modes destroyed my physical body. The only reason I could show up like this was that you perceived my existence."

"Who in the world are you?" Nargol once again asked.

"Don't you already know? I'm a god."

"You're not from this world..."

"Are you from the Spirit World?"

"Yes."

"!!!!!" Nargol's eyes filled with hatred, and she rushed towards Seal. She put both of her hands around Seal's neck and pushed him down.

"You! Do you have any connection with that bitch?" Nargol asked angrily. Her hands around Seal's neck tightened even further.

"Mina?" Seal calmly asked.

"Yes! That damn bitch and Orgis, I hate them to the fucking core!" Nargol sneered.

"Do you want to get revenge?"

"...What are you talking ab- Don't tell me! They're alive?!" Nargol's eyes widened.

"Haha." Seal seemed to have realized something and suddenly laughed.

"That's ironic,"

"...What is?"

"Who would've thought that Nargol, the goddess of destruction, would fail to notice that Orgis and Mina escaped from under your nose."

"What?!"

"You tell me! Where and how did they escape!!!?" Nargol ordered Seal.

She was about to explode. I know I killed that bastard and bitch, and now you're telling me they're alive?!

"Huh? Why should I tell someone who's strangling me?" Seal smiled.

"Tell me now! Or else those three women with you will suffer-"

*Slap!*

Before Nargol could continue speaking, a tremendous force sent her flying to the side. Her mask flew off, and a red handprint appeared directly on her scarred face.

She looked up and saw that Seal was standing in front of her, his smile gone.

Instead, she felt an oppressive force coming off of him.

"... I can't tolerate that now, can I? Don't do that again, okay?" Seal said as he walked toward Nargol.

Nargol tried getting up, but Seal grabbed her hands and held her up against the walls.

"Hey... do you understand me, woman? If you say that again, I'll punish you." Seal leaned forward and whispered into Nargol's ears. His mouth curved into a sneer.

Nargol nodded quickly, her eyes filled with fear.

"That's good." Seal said calmly. Then he released Nargol, letting her stand on her feet again.

"Go back. Bring me that 'thing' that you have in your possession if you want my answer to your question." Seal said before sitting down in his original spot.

Nargol hesitated for a moment and retreated. She had to go and consider Seal's offer.

After Nargol left, time began its normal flow.

"Huh? Why is your neck red, Seal?" Elenor couldn't help but ask with worry.

"Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it, Elenor." Seal dismissed Elenor's worry by healing his neck back to its original color. Then he leaned in to kiss Elenor.

"Mmhm," Elenor hummed in bliss.

"..." Kyouka stared blankly at Seal and Elenor with a dazed face. No matter how many times I see it, I can't get used to it.

"Look like it's over," Seal muttered as he separated his mouth from Elenor's cherry lips.

"Hey, hey, more..." Elenor said as she pulled Seal in for another kiss.

...

Meanwhile, Shirone was shocked looking at the childhood friend in front of her.

He wore pitch-black armor and carried a black blade that had black flames emitting from it. His blade smeared with orges' blood.

"Kuroki??! Why are you allying yourself with that Demon King, Modes!!!" Shirone yelled angrily.

"Erm..." Kuroki was also embarrassed by this situation because he didn't want to worry his childhood friend.

"Why?! Speak up, Kuroki!"

Just as Shirone was yelling at Kuroki, Chiyuki intervened and told them to clean up the enemy first.

"Hehe, even though you are about to kill me, my other subordinates are about to kill the people inside the palace as well." The orges' leader suddenly laughed. She should've bought enough time for her subordinates to kill the people inside.

After the orges' leader said that, she took her knife out of her pocket and committed suicide with it.

"Damn! We fell for their plan!" Sahoko angrily said.

"No! Maybe we could go and save them right now if we hurry," Shirone said.

The heroes tacitly agreed by nodding their heads and left hurriedly towards the palace.

...

"We're almost there!" Chiyuki yelled behind her.

After a moment, they arrived at the entrance of the ballroom.

"Finally, wher- What?!!?" Sahoko and the others screamed in fright.

They expected there would be dozens of orges armed with weapons, ready to rush inside the ballroom and kill everyone.

And they were right, except-

"What the hell?! Why do they look like this?!" Nao yelled.

The orges' were there, but they were missing their heads. Dozens of headless orges stood motionlessly, blood continued splurting out of their neck.

They walked curiously and opened the ballroom's doors and saw something that made them embarrassed.

"When... why are you watching a replay of us fighting?" Shirone couldn't help but ask.
