"It's you?!"

Seal glanced at Kyouka when he heard the voice. But he soon returned his gaze toward Zarxis, who had one of his arms severed.

"Who are you?! Do you know who I am?!" Zarxis yelled out.

"As a matter of fact, I do. You are the God of Death, are you not?" Seal said with a smile.

"If you know that, then you should know that other people would come and avenge me."

"Hmmm, that is indeed troublesome." For a moment, Seal furrowed his brows.

But when Zarxis saw this, he was delighted.

'Just you wait until I get out of here. I will get my revenge!'

"Scared now? How about this. If you let me free, I promise to let you li—" Zarxis began to say.

"But how can they avenge you if they don't know who killed you?" Seal let out a playful smile.

"Wha?!" Zarxis yelled when he felt a hand grip his head. He felt that something was being sucked out of him.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait! Please, not that!"

When Zarxis found out what was being sucked out of him, he was shocked, unwilling, and terrified.

The thing that was being sucked out of him was what made him a god in the first place. Namely, it was divine energy! It was also his life force.

He was unwilling to die like this. However, for the first time in his life, he was genuinely terrified.

Not even the Hero of Light, Reiji, could make him terrified. At most, it would make him cautious. But the masked person in front of him now gave him a cold chill down this spine. He knew that this person was definitely stronger than the Hero of Light.

But now, facing someone stronger than the Hero of Light, he was afraid and unwilling to die so easily.

Zarxis slowly lost the ability to resist, and his subordinates could only watch in horror as their master dies a slow death.

'How can someone have the ability to take away divine power...' That was Zarxis's last thought before he died.

"S-Sir, if you let us live, we will swear loyalty to you." One of the trembling subordinates begged Seal.

"Hmm. I think I will pass on that." Seal said coldly before waving his hands.

"No—!" Although they didn't know what that gesture meant, they knew it was at least something dangerous.

*Boom!*

Seal watched as Zarxis's body and subordinates burst into flames.

After making sure nothing was left, Seal turned to Kyouka and said to her.

"Forget everything you heard and saw, alright?"

Then he turned around and left in a happy mood.

"Wait! Wait!" Kyouka yelled out.

"Do you need something?"

"Um! Why did you save me?"

"...? Little girl, I believe you've misunderstood me. I didn't come here to save you. I came here to kill Zarxis." Seal tilted his head in confusion and explained it to Kyouka.

'...Little girl?' Kyouka's face twitched. Which parts of me look like a little girl's? Yes, I might be shorter than my friends, but that doesn't mean I lose out in any other aspects.

"If there isn't anything else, I will take my leave now. Your friends will be arriving soon." Seal said after seeing that Kyouka was not responding.

"W-Wait! Can you—" Kyouka tried to say, but Seal had already disappeared from the room.

"—at least untie me..." She finishes her sentence with an aggrieved voice.

"What kind of person are you?!"

*Bang*

"Milady/Kyouka-san/Kyouka! Are you alright?!" The door of the confinement room burst opened, and multiple women came in ready to fight.

"Kaya!" Kyouka yelled out in surprise. Her eyes had little droplets of tears. She was left here for a few minutes, but it seemed like an eternity with the awkward silence in the room.

"Milady, did they hurt you?" Kaya went toward and anxiously untied Kyouka. She carefully checked Kyouka's body for any injuries and sighed in relief when she found none.

"No, I'm fine," Kyouka said. Then she thought about how the masked man abandoned her here and couldn't help but pout.

"Milady...?"

"Ah? It's nothing. I just remembered something unpleasant. Did you guys get injured on the way here?" Kyouka changed the subject.

"Oddly enough, there wasn't anyone to stop us," Shirone said.

"I think they were scared of us and fled!" Rino said proudly.

"Seal, where have you been?" Elenor asked while snuggling in Seal's embrace. After that day, Elenor and the others were no longer reserve when they were alone with Seal.

"I went out to deal with someone." Seal said.

He then began to stroke Elenor's head gently.

"Mmhm." Elenor just nodded as she continued to enjoy his warm chest. She didn't want to pry into what Seal was doing.

While stroking Elenor's head, Seal took a look at his status.
