12 Chapter 10: Terror Green Giant Monster

The green-skinned monsters they had encountered previously were as small as thirteen or fourteen-year-old humans, but the one in front of them stood about 1.8 meters tall, making it appear taller and bigger compared to others. Its entire body was covered in inflated, green muscles, and living on it was a clump of long, black hair. Although its hands were empty, it had claws about seven or eight centimeters long that glowed with a black luster.

"A monster is coming." Most people, who were resting on the spot, soon reacted and started standing up. The two nearest to this creature quickly rushed at it from both sides.

Now they knew that killing a green-skinned creature meant acquiring a stronger power. Despite this one being considerably larger, it was all alone, hence posing no threat. As they had just killed one such creature and gained incredible special power, they eagerly made the first move, wanting to kill one more.

"Be careful." Su Yu instinctively sensed something wrong. The large, green-skinned creature before him, its mouth firmly shut, gave him a completely different feeling and pressure.

"Die." The man on the left, wielding a wooden club in both hands, aimed a blow at the approaching monster's head.

The other man was more savvy, aiming for the monster's legs. He believed that he was unlikely to strike its head precisely, but if he could hit its legs and knock it down, then they could finish it off with another blow.

This large monster, starring at the corpses of others, stepped forth with eyes aglow from a strange blood-red light. In a flash, it clashed with the two men, stretching and waving its hands.

A weird sound of "Sii" rang out, like the ripping sound of a buffalo's hide being torn apart with brute strength or a blade cutting through thick flesh.

Before those two attackers could even scream, their bodies spun and crashed into the ground. Only after they'd landed did they let out a few muffled "gurgling" noises. Their necks were gushing with blood.

The monster had swung its hands the moment it made contact, and its shiny black claws worked like a pair of knives, almost completely severing the necks of those two.

Once their throats were cut, blood spouted out like a fountain. Gasping for air resulted in more "gurgling" noises, with their bodies convulsing uncontrollably. This convulsion quickly stopped as they lost their lives.

Su Yu, Zhang Zhongmou, Qin Jiagui, Ma Ziye, Zhao Shichang, and others all sucked in a cold breath.

This monster appeared suddenly, killing two people instantaneously. After a half-second of stunned silence, everybody suddenly snapped back to reality.

"Ah—" someone yelled while retreating, fear surged in his heart. Yet more people rushed forward, trying to encircle the monster and launch a joint attack.

The creature vanished in a flash of green before reappearing elsewhere, accompanied by a scream. Turning around, they saw that the school security guard, who had just had a conflict with Qin Jiagui, was being lifted off the ground by the monster holding onto his arm and leg.

The security guard did not even understand what was going on. He just felt a blur followed by a sharp pain on his arm and leg. The next moment, he was lifted off the ground by the monster, his world spinning around.

When he realized what had happened, the security guard screamed hysterically: "Help me! I can't die! I have a child, he is only three years old, he needs me, help me——" His face distorted in terror and desperation as he struggled violently, but his arm and leg felt like they were trapped under a ton of steel.

A "pshh—" sounded, and blood sprayed. The guard's screams turned into cries of pain as one arm was torn off by the monster.

"Stop!" Su Yu commanded, wielding his club. After a moment of confusion, he was the first to react and sprang into action.

Ma Ziye, moving quickly with her special power focused on her right leg, sped past him, overtaking him effortlessly. She hurled her club towards the green-skinned creature.

Taking advantage of the distraction caused by her wooden rod, Ma Ziye suddenly twists her body, swings a leg, and quickly skids diagonally across the ground in a sweeping motion, her leg lashing out like a whip.

This is a martial arts move known as the whip kick. With the powerful special power contained in her leg, any monster struck by her kick is bound to fall.

Su Yu launches himself into the fray, just half a second slower than her.

Following Su Yu, Qin Jiagui, Zhang Zhongmou, Zhao Shichang, and other people with special powers all rush forward to attack.

Even though Qin Jiagui had just had a conflict with the school security guard, now was not the time for personal grudges.

This monster is too powerful. If they do not join forces, they will be defeated one by one, and they will all meet their untimely ends.

The massive green-skinned monster still stands its ground. Holding the now severed arm of the wailing security guard, it suddenly uses him as a weapon and hurls him towards Ma Ziye, who was sliding towards it.

Ma Ziye grunts as her leg collides with the security guard. Unable to stop her momentum due to the force of her whip kick, she is knocked off her trajectory. Blood seeped from the corner of her mouth and they're both sent tumbling.

The green figure snaps into motion as the creature springs forward, one claw outstretched, after forcefully throwing the guard.

With a ripping sound, the creature's claw pierces the guard's back. Blood splatters, and the guard lets out a hellish scream. His body impaled by the creature's claw, continuing its trajectory, it looks prepared to skewer Ma Ziye as well, impaling both onto its arm.

Observing the impending danger, Su Yu's heart trembles. Knowing he couldn't catch up, he roars and, as a series of black scales emerge on the back of his left hand, throws his wooden rod with all his might.

He puts his full strength into this throw. The rod whistles sharply through the air, its terrifying speed surpassing all expectations.

The green-skinned monster, hearing the eerie whistling, twists its head to look, but it's too late to dodge. With a loud thud, the rod strikes hard against its back.

It grunts, staggered by the devastating blow. The strike is powerful enough to cause the monster to roar in pain and it falls, the sound of its bones breaking could be heard inside.

"Charge!" Seeing an opening, the others seize the opportunity by rushing in to attack.

Su Yu, having overexerted himself in his previous strike, experiences a stabbing pain in his chest and is forced to stop and take a breath to recover. He then hurriedly picks up another wooden stick from the ground and pursues the creature.

The green-skinned monster somersaults and stumbles forward from Su Yu's strike, its claws sliding out from the body of the security guard, who falls to the ground, a gory hole visible through his chest and back. His heart is exposed and death seems imminent.

His eyes rolled back and his remaining arm shakes weakly, as if trying to grasp something before dying. He is heard murmuring, "Hao... Hao-er... Dad... Dad... will be home... with you... Dad will get out... of the forest... soon. .. going... home..."

Eventually his voice fades into silence, his hand clenching a clump of grass as if trying to pull himself up, however, life has forever left him.
