17. Aptitude

As they were all eating at the dining table, Eris suddenly exclaimed as she took a bite of the jucy tiger meat.

"Wow! This is the best i've ever eaten in my life, what kind of beast was it that could produce meat thus flavorful".

While Aria and Adam nodded, too busy to speak with their mouths full of the tender ribs.

Osiris chuckled at Eris's reaction while explaining.

"This was actually a peak first order tiger that I caught while it was sleeping in the woods".

And upon hearing his reply, all three of them paused their eating before looking at Osiris in deep shock.

They knew Osiris was strong when he took out the early first order bear with one punch but they had no idea how strong he truly was.

It had to be noted that the publicly strongest people in their world were the peak third order beings who ruled entire kingdoms with the only reason he was there was because he was a old retired war veteran.

But here was Osiris already decimating peak first order monsters and talking about them like they were easy prey after only being born for two days.

While the village chief had fought and cultivated his whole life and was only able to make it to mid first order.

This made all three of them curious at just what kind of monster Osiris was, and unable to keep the question away, Adam was the first to voice his curiosity.

"Osiris, I hope this isn't rude to ask you, but just how strong are you?".

And upon hearing his question and knowing they had no ill will for him whatsoever, he didn't think it was a big deal to reveal it.

"Well officially I'm at the peak of the first order, my combat strength is way above that".

"Just today I killed multiple second order beasts, including two peak second order beasts".

"Though i could probably kill beings in the third, i'm not one hundred percent certain though since i haven't gotten the chance to fight against one yet".

Hearing his casual remark of being in the peak first order was a thought fact to swallow for them, but it was completely plausible since he said the meat they were currently eating was of the peak first order.

But when they heard that he had the combat strength of the third order left them absolutely aghast, and Eris suddenly chimed in.

"So you're telling me you have the power to kill the king of the sunset kingdom if you two faught?!".

"If he was within the third order then most likely I could".

And when he replied to her question nonchalantly, not even stopping from eating the tiger ribs, left the trio to gaze at Osiris in a new light.

Before they just thought he was a rare cultivation genius in the first order who was pretty strong for his age, even if they didn't believe his age of two days, he still looked quite young, possibly in his early 20's like Adam.

But now they looked at him as though he could quite possibly be one of the strongest beings on Origin, their world.

After not hearing any noise from them for quite a while, Osiris looked up from his meal to notice them staring at him in awe and a hint of reverence.

"What?".

He asked, not entirely sure on why it was so surprising since in his inheritance, the first three orders of the body realm were just building the foundation, but he could also see why it would be somewhat surprising for them since the rumored strongest beings in this world were only in the fourth order.

The first to break the silence was Eris as she asked with curiosity and a hint of hope.

"Do you think after you start training us, it would be possible to get as strong as you?".

"Well it would depend upon your aptitude for cultivation".

Osiris replied to which Eris quickly asked.

"Then how can we tell how good our aptitude is?".

She asked, beginning to become more hopeful as the other two were listening with burning attention, not letting a single word go by unheard.

"Well one way to easily test is for those who are able to see or sense mana is to get one to absorb or consume something with mana and gauge the rate at which the mana leaks from your body".

"The longer it takes for the mana to leave your body, the higher your aptitude would be"

"And you three just so happen to be in luck as you're looking at a man who can do just that, and we even have the mana from the tiger ribs already prepared".

Hearing his reply, all three of them became excited as Eris asked with a hurried tone.

"Then can we do it right now!?".

And upon seeing their agitated states, Osiris laughed a little before saying.

"Calm down and finish your meals, i'm not going anywhere and if your aptitudes are as good as you hope they are, then you can wait till after we finish to tell".

And upon hearing Osiri's words, they all became slightly embarrassed at their attitudes and decided he was right before they continued to finish their ribs, though this time with noticeably quicker bites.

Once they were all finished with their meals they headed over to the couches, with Adam sitting alone again and Eris and Aria both sitting on the sides of Osiris.

When they were all seated, Osiris instructed them to simply close their eyes and take long deep breaths, as if they were meditating, whole he sensed the mana leave their body's.

After 30 minutes of silent meditation, Osiris broke the quiet atmosphere with the results of his test.

"Wow! i'm surprised all three of you actually have a top grade aptitude for cultivation, at the rate at which the mana was leaving your mortal body's, it would probably be able to last 24 hours or a full day before you would be drained of mana".

Though he said he was surprised, internally he knew the reason for the case, which was that since this sub-realm was just created barely one thousand years ago, the mana within the galaxy was at its densest and purest it will ever be since most beings probably haven't reached the fourth order in the mana realm.

Meaning the mana hasn't been polluted and used up as much as it would be in a couple thousand years time.

Which also meant that most if not everyone on planet origin and the galaxy possessed a top tier aptitude, just that they don't have ready made cultivation manuals like Osiris does to reach their full potential.

This made Osiris feel the need to quickly conquer this planet as quickly as possible and unleash the full potential of these people under his rule.
