12 Feminists FTW

Sabrina spent the night tossing and turning in the tiny uncomfortable bed in the room next to Kavan's room. It was highly uncomfortable and since there was no air conditioning, in the tropical heat, she was sweating a lot. The bedsheets were soaked through from her tossing and turning. She had stripped down to just her bralette and panties. It was just too hot to be wearing anything else.

Ahhh…for the luxury of her air conditioned room and her luxuriously large and comfortable queen size bed. She thought of Kavan in the next room. It would be nice to crawl into bed with him and do nasty things with him. The stifling heat would just add to the temperature in the room. It would be so hot and yet it would be so good. She could just imagine the ecstasy of their sweat-slicked bodies smacking against each other, joined at the hips, in all imaginable positions.

Just thinking about that made her feel even hotter and so bothered. Her panties are now wet and it's not just from sweat. But she couldn't barge into his room and jump on him. She made him a promise that she wouldn't jump on him. Which she is regretting right now as she tossed and turned and imagined all sorts of delicious scenarios with Kavan.

Finally, giving up on sleep, she went outside. It felt so much cooler in the living room. The door to Kavan's room was shut tight. She stared at it. She could sense that he was fast asleep behind that door. Good.

She went to the tiny bathroom and turned on the tap. Then she used her magic to convert it, making it cool the air around the whole flat. The temperature dropped immediately as if an air conditioner was turned on. She groaned in relief. She is a sea dragon, she can only work in the presence of water. Thank the dragons for modern plumbing, she thought. She couldn't imagine what it would be like trying to find water more than a thousand years ago when everything in the human realm was archaic and primitive. She was glad that she doesn't need to live in the human world until just recently with Dashen. She would have continued living in the dragon realm if not for being chosen to serve Dashen. She was glad she is in the human realm now. She wouldn't have met Kavan otherwise. Now, if only she can get him to be hers. The cooled air finally gave her relief from the tropical heat. Sea dragons don't deal well with heat. Why can't Dashen choose a colder country like Canada to settle down? She finally fell sleep on the small uncomfortable sofa in the living room.

She woke to the sound of her phone vibrating on the coffee table. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. She stared at it blearily. It was Meera. Oh, for dragons' sake. Why can't the annoying squabbling couple leave her the eff alone? She sat up, wipe the drool from her chin and answered it.

"Yes, Meera…"

"Sabrina! I've not heard from Dashen and the kids, I couldn't reach them at all," the other woman said stridently, her voice ringing out loud and clear through the phone.

She rolled her eyes. How many times must she remind Meera that Dashen can't be contacted by normal human means when he's at the sea palace?

"Meera…you know he's at the sea palace right? Did you forget that you can't contact them when they are there?" she said patiently.

"Oh. I forgot. Okay. Where are you anyway? You are not in your quarters and it's only 6 o'clock, I didn't expect you to be out and about so early," the other woman asked.

Jeez. First Dashen. Now must she also report to his human mate? Will this interrogation and meddling in her life never end? Will she be tied to the annoying couple for a few hundred years more, if Meera decides to accept immortality? She shuddered at the thought. She couldn't imagine spending a few hundred years settling their silly disputes and refereeing their childish arguments. Oh my dragons. She need a way to get out of serving Dashen and Meera and their spawns.

"No, Meera, I spent the night out…at a friend's place," she finally replied.

"Oooo…is it a man? You know, it is about time you find someone, after all, it's not good to have a third person around here anyway, the kids are already asking questions," Meera said.

Sabrina had a light bulb moment.

"Now that you mention it Meera….Dashen was against it! Maybe you can help me," she said slyly. Time to recruit some army and what better army than Dashen's human mate? She almost rubbed her hands and laugh gleefully if she wasn't still on the phone with Meera.

"What? That oaf is cock-blocking you? How dare he! You've been with us long enough, he can't treat you like a slave," Meera was indignant.

"Exactly!" Sabrina lamented. She put on her most pitiful voice. "He told me I can't even think about falling in love or finding my own mate, I must stay on to serve him like a slave, you know, because I am a lowly female dragon," she lied, emphasising the 'female' word.

Meera was angry on her behalf. If anything, Meera is a feminist who believes in equality for all. Including female dragons.

"I can't believe you highly evolved shapeshifters still have this patriarchal rule that younger female dragons must serve their elder clan leader and not allowed to leave when they want to!" she said righteously.

Sabrina is now cheering silently inside. Yessss...Meera to the rescue.

"Don't worry Sabie, I will do something about this. By the time I am done with him, you will be a free woman and you can date whoever you want, even women, if you are so inclined," Meera declared.

They talked for a few more moments and then Meera hang up with a promise to resolve her issue for her. Hah. Take that Dashen, Sabrina thought. She is sure he will get an earful from Meera when he gets back. She couldn't think of an even more fitting revenge than this. She only wished she could be there to watch Meera tear Dashen from limb to limb and chew him up, figuratively. Meera can be a force to reckon with when she's pissed. Serves Dashen right.

Since she's already awake, she might as well get up. The sky is brightening anyway and Kavan will be awake pretty soon. She did some light stretching, limbering up and working out the kinks from sleeping on the sofa. It was a good thing she is still a relatively young dragon so she is still supple and flexible.

Then she heard Kavan moving around inside his room. Taking the opportunity, she quickly lie down seductively on the sofa. If he doesn't want her to jump on him, she might as well entice him. When he opened his door, Kavan was already dressed in his usual yoga tank top and sweat pants. He stared at Sabrina posing on the sofa and his brow furrowed.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Oh, I'm just waiting for you," she replied and winked at him.

He rolled his eyes.

"I have a class in 20 minutes, you should get dressed if you want to go with me," he said, avoiding looking at her.

Damn. He wasn't even in the least tempted by her almost naked body, she thought. She got up and stomped into her room.

The moment her door closed behind her, Kavan heaved a huge sigh and discreetly adjusted the crotch of his pants. That was close. He had immediately hardened at the sight of her laying there so seductively. It was a good thing he was wearing a loose pair of sweat pants.

They walked to the yoga studio in silence. Kavan appeared deep in thought and Sabrina was sulking slightly. Was she losing her touch? Why wasn't he even the least tempted? She was certain her pose was a sexy one that showcased her cleavage to advantage and emphasised her tiny waist.

Kavan's students are already waiting outside the studio when they arrived. He quickly unlock the door to let them in and she followed behind. She helped to distribute mats to those who didn't bring theirs and set up the incense for the class.

"Sab, if you want, you can join us," Kavan told her matter-of-factly after she was done and she was standing around watching the students taking their position. Her face lighted up at his suggestion and his nickname for her. That's a start. He gave her a nickname, that was good wasn't it?

She went to unroll her mat at a corner, the only space left, and just then a sexy woman who looks to be in her 40s rushed in, apologising and pushing Sabrina aside, quickly unrolled her mat at the space. Sabrina glared at her and remembered the woman is a client of Kavan so she can't antagonise his clients. She pasted a fake smile, pick up her mat and moved out of the way. The woman is new.

"Oh Kavan darling! I am so sorry, I almost couldn't wake up," the woman gushed to Kavan.

"It's alright, Mrs Chong, we are just about to start," he replied, smiling politely. The woman tittered.

"Oh Kavan. Darling. You know I'm widowed. Call me Tiff," she replied flirtily.

Sabrina rolled her eyes. It is going to be a long session.
