Ryuu vs Amphisbaena

As the Monster Rex bellowed its deafening roar, it released scorching blue flames that aimed to engulf Ryuu and Ais. But Ryuu, with a nonchalant expression, simply raised his hand and summoned his own Celestial Flame. With a swift and powerful movement, he closed the distance between them.

He raised his hand and delivered a slap to the monster's head. The force of the collision was immense as if a comet had struck the earth. The monster's head was instantly vaporized by the collision, reduced to nothing but a cloud of ash and gore.

The blue flames that had been emanating from the monster's maw were no match for Ryuu's Celestial Flame, and they were snuffed out in an instant. The power of Ryuu's flame was immeasurably stronger, albeit thinner in volume, as he could not afford more than that; his reserves of Magic were crucial for the lower floors, after all.

The scene was one of destruction and chaos as the monster's body convulsed and writhed at the sudden heavy damage. The ground shook, and the dungeon walls trembled as if they were feeling the monster's demise.

But the fight was still not over, as the monster Rex, in its death throes, lunged at Ryuu while letting out a blood-curdling scream and lunged at him with all its might. With lightning-fast reflexes, he sidestepped the attack and delivered a powerful kick to the monster's other head. The impact was devastating, as the monster's other head caved in under the force of the blow, splattering blood and brain matter in all directions. The monster's body flew all the way to the upper parts of the 25th floor, crashing into the walls and ceiling before finally coming to a stop…

The force of the kick also sent shockwaves through the air, causing the water from the immense waterfall that flowed through the 25th to 27th floors to react slightly.

The waterfall, which had been flowing peacefully until that point, was now disturbed by the sudden influx of the monster's body, causing huge waves to form and crash against the rocks below. The sound of the water was deafening as it cascaded down, creating a mist that enveloped the entire area. The mist was filled with the scent of blood and the sound of the monster's body being torn apart by the force of the waterfall.

"…I forgot."

He didn't mean to cause such a huge commotion. As his strength kept changing, he could never properly adapt to it, and while he was a genius capable of many techniques to control his body strength, not a single one ever taught him how to move with an ever-changing body, this being something that could never happen in his previous world.

'Maybe I need a style of my own.'

Since he did not have anyone teaching him, he would create a path on his own. This required some time and research, but it was not impossible for him to do so…

His thoughts could not be developed further as he heard the sound of clapping.

Turning his head, he stared at the sight of an emotionless Ais clapping her hands with no particular expression on his face.

"…What are you doing?"

To his question, Ais thought about it for a moment before replying

"Congratulating on your achievement…?"

Since a level 2 defeated a Monster Rex all on his own, that could already be classified as an incredible achievement. However, after thinking about it, Ais tilted her head in confusion as after careful consideration, it was a bit too easy to be an incredible achievement…

"Is that so?"

He shrugged. For him, the fight could've ended before it started if he had played his bloodline card, though he didn't want to use that. Ryuu wished to have the Monster Rex as a punching bag, but the fight was so easy he could not do it.

Of course, if other adventurers heard what he did to the 27th floor's Monster Rex, most of them would directly retire out of anger, though that wouldn't happen…

Since the monster was defeated, they had no reason to dwell here any longer.

"From the 29th floor, we'll have to be careful."

Of course, Ais was strong enough to solo these lower floors easily, though Riveria never permitted her to do such a careless thing. The only reason she went down alone with him was, ironically, because Finn trusted Ryuu's judgement.

While Ryuu and Ais kept heading deeper inside the Dungeon, the Hestia Familia expedition proceeded smoothly as they managed, in a few hours, to gather a lot of the required materials, the only ones remaining some smaller matter ones…

"Good Work, everyone."

Luna issued these words as she knew the Hestia Familia's official expedition would soon end with a perfect record, though she did not let that get to her head.

"Indeed. At this pace, we only need to head down one more time to be done."

One of the Demeter Familia's adventurers commented with a carefree expression. Although it's already been a day since their descent, they did not feel tired at all. With so many forces, even the hundreds of monsters that spawned each time proved no challenge, as a single level 4 could decimate tens of low-level monsters in seconds.

They didn't know that while they were cheering for the easy job, a certain hobgoblin stood at an imposing three meters tall, its body covered in a thick layer of greenish-brown fur that seemed matted and unkempt. Its powerful frame was built for brute strength, with broad shoulders and heavily muscled limbs. Its face was a grotesque mix of human and goblin features, with a broad nose, sharp teeth, and small, beady eyes. Its ears were large and pointed, sticking out from the sides of its head. Its fingers ended in sharp claws, and it carried a crudely made club in one hand as in the other, a huge amount of magic stones could be seen.

Injesting them caused some strange occurrence around it, its strength growing way past the boundaries of the floor it was currently in…
