Bree kept an eye on Jasper as their relationship progressed. He seemed happy and smiled and laughed more than he ever had around her but she still wasn't entirely sure what he got up to when they were apart.

Since he was content to sit quietly near her when she read or watched TV, they spent almost every spare moment she had together. He didn't expect her to engage with him but still wanted to see her like it had been back at his place in L.A.

She didn't mind but she was very curious what he got up to when they weren't together. She asked him about it sometimes and he would shrug and say he was training for that marathon or at the MMA gym. He talked about it enough that she was curious and wanted to go there.

Jasper didn't seem terribly fond of that idea but took her anyway. She found out why when they arrived. About a dozen regulars swarmed them and began asking a million questions such as how she ever managed to end up with someone so frightening.
