Chapter 9

"Come on, let's go to work." said Sam I thought I was going to the shelter. Guess he changed his mind. Sam put me in the car and we drove to this place called the hospital. Wonder what this place was. Sam took me inside and there were lot's of rooms. And in the rooms were people laying in beds. We went to the second floor and we met someone name Carla. Sam told me Carla worked at the Hospital.

"So, this is the dog." Carla said. She gave me a chin scratch. I liked Carla already, she knew all the right places to scratch. "So, what's his name?" Carla asked.

"I have'nt named him yet, I think one of the patients should name him." Sam said. Carla took me to one of the rooms, and in the room was a girl sitting in a bed.

"Doggy!" She yelled when she saw me. I ran up to her and she pet me. "Your so..." She started coughing.

"Caidy is sick, so maybe you can comfort her." Carla said to me. I agreed to take care of Caidy.

"What are you going to name him?" asked Sam.

"I get to name him!" sqealed the girl.

"Yes." Carla said laughing.

"I'm going to name him... Polar! Because he is white like snow!"

"That's a cute name." Said Carla as she patted my head. This was a fun job, I liked it very much, and I liked my new humans very much.
