Morning Chores & Gratitude
As the early morning breeze gently caressed my face, its tender touch played with my still damp hair, slowly drying them as I strolled along the footpath. The road before me was surprisingly tranquil, with only a handful of vehicles occasionally passing by, each seemingly eager to reach their destinations.
I owe my gratitude to the kids whose joyful noises while getting ready for school acted as my wake-up call, saving me from the potential failure of the alarm I had set. With a hurried scramble, I sprang out of bed and made a beeline for the washroom, eager to freshen up as swiftly as possible. As I emerged from my room, the kids, seemingly taken aback, paused in their tracks, their eyes widening with a mixture of surprise and uncertainty.
"Am I in the midst of an early morning daydream?" Rix quipped, a playful grin dancing on his lips.
I chuckled and replied, "No dream, my friend. This is as real as it gets. Believe it!"
