In the Parallel World

The world was still asleep as I made my way to the bus that would take me on an adventure I had been dreaming of. The morning was half-lit, and the cool breeze was still lingering, making me feel alive and rejuvenated. The anticipation of what the day held was bubbling inside of me, filling me up with excitement and wonder.

The trip was planned to take us to the hills, a place where I had always longed to go. Growing up in a state that was deprived of the majestic sight of mountains, I often found myself lost in thought, daydreaming about climbing rocky hills and marveling at the stunning view from such heights. It was like a dream come true, and I could barely contain my excitement.

As I boarded the bus, I felt a sense of elation that I had never experienced before. I looked around and saw the faces of my classmates, all equally excited and eager to embark on this adventure. The bus was filled with laughter and chatter as we made our way towards our destination, the hills.

Little did we know, this adventure would take an unexpected turn, and the day that began with so much promise would end up being a test of our resilience and strength.

The clock struck 7:45, and the bus was packed with a swarm of excited high school students. The anticipation of the trip had everyone buzzing with energy, eagerly awaiting what promised to be a day full of adventure and fun. As the last few minutes ticked away, the bus was abuzz with activity. Students were busy making their pairs, taking selfies, single selfies, group selfies, and couple selfies.

But as for me, I found myself without any company. All my friends were preoccupied with their girlfriends, and I was left to my own devices. I sat quietly, my eyes glancing around the bus, searching for a possible companion. And then she appeared.

It was 7:59 when the door clicked open, and everyone's attention shifted to her. She quickly made her way up the two small steps of the bus, and my eyes were immediately drawn to her. She was dressed in a stunning black skirt paired with a vibrant red crop top, her hair tied up in a high ponytail with a printed red scarf. A pair of red cherries dangled from her ears, and her hand was tightly gripped around the strap of her cute-little-shoulder-bag.

I was entranced, my eyes fixed on her delicate walking figure. They moved when she moved, twisted when she turned, stopped when she stopped. She paused twice to survey the bus, her eyes scanning the interior for an empty seat. Luckily, all the seats were filled except one, and she made her way towards it, her hips swaying slightly with each step.

My heart was bursting with an inexplicable feeling, a sensation I had never experienced before. It was as if my heart had sprouted wings and was flying at a breakneck speed. Suddenly, everything came to a standstill, and I lifted my head to witness the most magnificent view I had ever seen. It was as if I had arrived at the hills in an instant and was savoring every moment I had ever imagined. In that one moment, I lived in infinity.

"Can I sit here?" A soft voice whispered, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I turned my head and saw her, the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on.

Her voice was honeyed and had a velvety texture that filled my ears and made me feel like a butterfly was sucking on them. I offered her a seat, and she gracefully positioned herself, crossing her legs at the knees and hanging her cute little shoulder bag at the back of the front seat. She took out a small white earplug box and pinned them in her ears.

As the bus roared to life, songs blared out in unrhythmic vocals, some were cheerful, while others were just gossiping. Everyone was enjoying this day to the fullest, but my chest was pounding wildly, and I felt like a sin was trying to escape from my mouth. I tightly zipped it up, not letting the vicious desires blurt out.

Her elegance, her grace, and her stunning beauty were suffocating me, and I found myself struggling to keep my eyes off her. Her shiny legs were superimposed on each other, and as I trailed my eyes down to her shins, I felt a bubble rising within me, growing bigger and bigger. It was becoming harder and harder to control and conceal my feelings. I turned my head around, trying hard to contain the turmoil brewing inside me.

As we hit the halfway mark on our journey, I turned my head towards her. Her face was a work of art, delicately carved and resting on her left shoulder. Her eyes were closed, and her black hair cascaded over her collarbone, accentuating the curves of her figure. I was mesmerized by her beauty once again.

Suddenly, I saw a beetle crawling on her cheek, and I couldn't help but feel envious of the insect's touch. As it moved towards her lips, her pearls glistened in the sunlight, rising and falling with her breath. The temptation to wake her from her slumber was strong, but I dared not to disturb her peace.

I began to write some verses, trying to capture the moment, and wondering what it would be like if her eyes were open, how they might look upon me. The thought crossed my mind, and in that moment, the universe seemed to split apart.

Then she opened her eyes, and I felt as though I was swimming in a transparent, mesmerizing ocean. It was magical and indescribable, beyond words. I was lost in a surreal aura, diving deeper into myself.

But suddenly, I realized I needed air, I was suffocating. It felt as if death were approaching, not in the usual black cloak, but in the form of a death fairy dressed in modern attire. I was helpless, surrendering to her, without even saying a word.

I became inhumane, immortal, and all the words I had ever known vanished in an instant. Her gazelle eyes had cast a spell on me, and I was lost to everything else.

Then, as if waking from a dream, a hand reached out to me and pulled me back to reality. The sweltering air of the noon breeze hit me, causing a fit of coughing, breaking the fence I had built around myself. I heard myself apologizing, feeling ashamed for being so lost in my own thoughts. "I-am so-or-y."
