3 Sing! This Is You!

"Okay. Here's the seat. Sit down. Careful!" Shiloh made sure Judah got his bearings before she removed her hands from his shoulders. "Okay, you good?"

Judah grumbled unintelligibly under his breath. He'd never felt so disoriented in his life!

"What was that? Don't you be a mumbling. I raised you better than that."

"I may not be able to see, but I can hear your smile! This isn't funny! I'm gonna be sore and bruised from all those walls you made me run into."

Shiloh laughed. "See? Now THAT I understood. Oh. And by the way, you ran into those walls cuz you were tryna get ahead of me."

Judah abruptly changed the subject earning another laugh from Shiloh.

"When can I take these blindfolds off?"

"Just a minute!" He heard her voice echo from far away. How did she move so fast? He heard a light switch flip. And quick as a wink she was by his side again.

"How are you moving so fast?"

She giggled. "It's magic."

"You've been planning this for a while haven't you?"

"I'm not giving anything away, Slick. You just sit there tight and look pretty for me."

Judah shook his head for the hundredth time that day. She may be 10 years older but sometimes she made about as much sense as a toddler. So much for the fact that she was a lawyer and well learned. Sometimes she just didn't make any sense!

"I wouldn't want to grow up with anyone else." Except with his family as a whole... Judah quickly shut that door in his mind before it could open. It was easier to not think about it.

"Judah? You okay?" Shiloh's voice interrupted his somber thoughts.

"Huh? Oh yeah. I'm fine."

Shiloh didn't buy it, but chose to let it go.

"Can I please take the blindfolds off now?"

A few moments went by before she answered. "Yeah. Yeah. Sure."

Judah was beside himself. He hated being left in the dark, both literally and figuratively.

Shiloh removed his blindfolds, but of course she just had to bring him to a dark room! As his eyes adjusted to the darkness around him, they also focused on a studio type microphone right in front of him. While his brain struggled to take in all this information at once, Judah heard Shiloh say,

"What are you gonna sing?"

He shook his head absently.

"You are the reason."
