With great power...

The first question on everyone's minds was of course, "What will you do during the time Nick is in America Lizzy? Will you join him?" Since Elizabeth was an only child, she was the only heir for her parent's company. It was an advert company that made television and newspaper ads for many large companies. A few years ago they had started investing in TV-series, turning Elizabeth's focus on the arts as well, but in her case it would be at the affiliated University of Mountforth High, just like the majority of their group. Also she wouldn't be studying fashion but media and communication followed by a double major where she planned on combining creative business and creative design. She revealed that she sadly wouldn't be able to join Nick and would have to accept having a long distance relationship in the periods they were apart. She explained she would have to make due with calls and plan visits whenever they could to keep them from missing each other too much. Also, with them moving in together after graduation, she would be able to maximize the time they could spend together. Though she was a bit sad about it, it would only be for two years and a for two months consecutively at most. After those two years he would be able to stay mostly in England, meaning that the worst would be over.

"Wow, I cannot imagine being apart from Harry for that long. You are taking this a lot better than I would have. Our strong and cool ice queen does not disappoint, even in her private life she can handle matters so logically." Julia responded. She was fully impressed by Elizabeth's way of handling Nicks studying abroad. "Yeah me neither. I would probably follow George along every chance I got." Sophia added giggling. With a sad smile Elizabeth said, "Yeah, well. There's not much I can do about it, other than accept it right. So, instead of moping around about it, I chose to think of a plan to get the most positive scenario to come true." Nick pulled her towards him when he heard those words and planted a kiss on the top of her head to comfort her as her words sounded so sad to him. His action made Elizabeth smile once more, this time it appeared less sad, but the trace of sadness had not completely disappeared. Making him hold onto her for the rest of the evening, rubbing her arm, holding her hand and placing a kiss on her cheek, head or hand every so often. He felt bad that he had to leave Elizabeth behind and didn't look forward to it as much as she did. He didn't know that traveling and staying in America would be part of his path after high school, and didn't find out until he shared his plans of moving in after graduation with his parents. After a few encouraging words they moved on to the next person in their circle.

Jason would be combining two fields of study as he would be studying business and management as well as computer sciences. As if that wasn't impressive enough, he would be starting work at the Westwood empire from the moment he graduates. Depending on whether he would be in the running to become CEO or not, he would be placed in a branch office or at the main head quarters. Though they all knew that he was in a different league, they didn't think the difference would be that big. They knew that with great power comes great responsibility and Jason had a chance at gaining immense power, so it was to be expected that it also came with immense pressure to excel. He couldn't be like other people. He needed to stand out, he needed to be great and this was what it took for him to be able to get the position he had been trained for since infancy. Especially considering he was one of the youngest in his family, which made it all the more difficult to be taken seriously and be acknowledged for such a big position. Compared to him, what they had on their plate was nothing. Hearing Jason's story, it was as if they could see the weight that was stacked on his shoulders and it reached as far as the eye could see.

Feeling their chest tighten slightly, they closed their gaping mouths and turned to the last person that they needed to hear from. The person that had started this whole conversation, Jenny. However, when it came to her, all they got was an "For now my focus is on getting in a good University. After I get in, I will think of what I want to study." After that Jenny brushed it off with a laugh. This was followed by a few jokes on how she could also learn how to be a socialite and stick to being Jason's wife as a profession. Claiming that his schedule sounded busy enough and that her staying at home would probably be the only way for them to spend any time with each other in those first few years. Finishing it all with an 'He has more than he could spend in a lifetime, so even if you wanted to be a stay at home wife it would pose no problem at all. Let him do all that tiring work and simply enjoy being Mrs. Westwood. I imagine it would make him quite happy to have you greet him at the door after a tiring day of work.'. Happy that the focus was no longer on what she wanted to do, Jenny happily joked along. Of course one person was excluded from this all, the person who had been watching her all evening and had noticed what she had been trying to cover with jokes and a smile. But addressing that would have to wait till after the friends had gone home. For now he would join the fun and tease Jenny with the others.

Here we are with today's chapter. I wasn't able to put everything in that I wanted, because I felt that it would be something that they would discuss in private. Leaving me no more room within one chapter as I didn't want it ending abruptly either. The struggles as an author XD. So that part will have to wait till tomorrow :D

My thanks goes to Humaira_Jarjisa who was able to relate with the struggles Jenny is facing and I imagine many more of us alongside her. How society thought that 17/18 would be an age where you would know what you want to do for life is a mystery to me XD.
