Win-win!

Once Jenny and Jason arrived at school, Jenny tried to get out of the car to let Jason head to the office, but to her surprise she was followed in her actions by Jason. "Why did you get out the car? Aren't you supposed to go to the office today?" Jason replied, "Did you really think I would give up my privilege to walk you to your class so easily? I may have missed out on it for a couple of weeks, but now there is no reason for me to miss out anymore. So, while you still attend school, I will accompany you to and from school. I will walk you to your morning class and I will pick you up after your last class. Jenny was astounded. This was so inefficient and illogical that she stared at him wide eyed for a moment with her mouth agape.

She thought he had accompanied her today, because she had an early class and the times they had to be at their destinations matched. She didn't think that despite him not going to their classes, he would still insist on accompany her everyday as she did. Her classes started and ended at different times, which would mean he would have to start his work at odd times and stop his work in the middle of the day just to drop her off and pick her up. Only to go back to the office afterwards? Or would she be going with him to the office or something? No matter how looked at it, it made no sense. But then again, should she really expect any less from him considering his behaviour in the past year?

As if he had said nothing strange and it was Jenny behaving oddly, Jason grabbed her hand and he walked towards the school while saying, "Let's go. Stop staring at me like, you will have plenty of time for that after school. Otherwise you will be late for class. We both know you won't like that." Jenny followed him as she smiled at his back. She had missed this feeling of being spoiled and loved. She must have been momentarily insane to consider giving this up. When they walked the halls, everyone seemed as shocked to see them walk in hand-in-hand as the people at Westwood mansion. Their friends being equally shocked, as their conversation fell still in the middle of Elizabeth's sentence, when they walked up to them. "Does this mean what I think it means?" Elizabeth asked excitedly. Jenny nodded as she had done many times before this day and Jason again felt the need to turn his face away momentarily.

After a brief conversation on when and how they had made up, Jenny informed them of their moving their wedding forward and leaving on their honeymoon right after exams. "Smart move Jason. Making sure she has to wear another rock to weigh her down and impede any other escaping attempt, hmm?" Nick said teasingly as he nudged Jason in his side with his elbow, but a cold glare was enough to shut him up. He pulled back his arm and raised both hands in front of his chest as he said, "Sorry, sorry. Too soon I see." before hiding behind Elizabeth jokingly. This one interaction was enough to warn any of the other friends who might have had a similar idea. Luckily, he had intimidated all of them at some point in the past, making them not even consider teasing him with his current awkwardness and focusing on being happy for their two friends instead.

Jason stood there and talked with his friends in front of his previous classroom, as he had done many times before. Making them feel like nothing had changed and they had known no other days. That was until the bell rang and Jason walked Jenny to her classroom. Before the opened door he pulled Jenny into his arms and gave her a deep kiss. Making her lean all the way back, before he pulled himself back up again and pulled Jenny back up with him. He placed another peck on the tip of her nose before waving her goodbye and walking back towards the car parked out front. He might have felt embarrassed to face everyone after their reconciliation he was feeling none of that now. Under the surprised stares of his friends and Jenny as well, he left the school and headed towards the office where his workday would begin shortly after causing a small whirlwind in Jenny's heart.

After they had each worked hard for a number of hours, Jenny's day of school had finished and the time for Jason to pick her up had arrived. A bit doubtful that he would be able to leave in the middle of his workday, Jenny stood by the gate for a moment and glanced back and forth between her phone and the school driveway. Expecting a message any minute, saying that he couldn't make it after all, Jenny prepared herself for disappointment when the car that had dropped them off this morning came driving up. She walked towards the drop-off point with a steady pace, that sped up as the car came closer. By the time the car arrived at the end of the path, so had Jenny. With a sense of excitement she waited for the door to open and when it did she was greeted by a bright smiling Jason. He was sitting at his seat with a bunch of papers in hand, looking busy yet strangely care free. Jenny stepped inside and asked the question she didn't get to ask this morning. "So, what's the plan now?" As if she had asked the most obvious question imaginable Jason replied, "What else? You are going to study and I will continue my work. By working during the ride over and finishing my day a bit later, I can free up the time to go with you to and from school and while you join me at the office, you have a disturbance free place to prepare for your exams as I help you study in between my own work. I call that a win-win!"

Here we are with today's chapter. This week I am a bit busier than usual, so I won't have much time to write extra chapters. But I hope that next week I will be able to write another small upspree. This time with happy events :D
