Vows

After enjoying a nice brunch, she and Jason decided to stay in for today and just watch movies as they regained their energy. Since the room had been booked for another day anyways, they might as well enjoy it before moving back to their own room. After dinner they went into the hot spring for a nice soak and when it became dark, Jenny used the scarf that Jason had the hotel staff buy for her and they moved back to their suite. There she put on the dress that had been prepared for last night, put on some make-up on the few hickeys that remained visible and they headed out for some exploring of the nearby town. Under the extra protective layer of the night, Jenny wasn't worried of anyone seeing the evidence of last night's events and she was able to enjoy herself fully. Despite waking up late and not doing much else that day except lying in bed, she was still a bit tired, so they headed back to the hotel early and watched another movie in bed before going to bed.

The next morning Jenny finally felt refreshed after spending yesterday in such a leisurely way. After waiting for what felt like forever, Jenny woke Jason up excitedly with her newfound energy. With a bit of a grumble Jason woke up and saw her cheerful expression, which perfectly matched the voice she had used to call out his name. With a hint of a chuckle he said, "I see that you have slept well. What has gotten you so excited?" With a big smile Jenny told him about what she had researched when he was still asleep.

"I found a store nearby that sells waterproof concealer. So, I was thinking we could go and buy that and go to the famous water park nearby. I really feel like going on some thrilling water slides. This one even has a free fall." With sparkling eyes, Jenny showed Jason the pictures of what she had found and where she wanted to go. Jason was happy to see that Jenny had recovered so much in just a day and had returned to her happy, cheerful self. "Your wish is my command my dear wife, my feisty little tigress and of course I also salute our rare little ice queen." Jenny's appeared to have immediately quieted down after that sentence and she listen to the rest of Jason's words with slightly reddened cheeks. She had heard 'feisty tigress' and 'ice queen' before, but the title 'wife' required some getting used to. Though she had to admit she liked her newly acquired titles, hearing it out loud, so abruptly, it still made her feel a bit shy.

"I will get them to bring up breakfast. We can leave after we eat." Jason had noticed the change in her expression, but paid no attention to it. He had to keep Jenny in a good mood and teasing her wouldn't be helping his case. Besides, he wanted her to get used to the title and wear it with pride. The best way to do so, was to use it as often as he could in everyday occasions and behave as it was something he had been doing for years. Only by him behaving like it was nothing out of the ordinary, would Jenny consider it to be the same thing too. So, the teasing would have to wait for now.

Seeing how calm Jason was behaving and how easily he was calling her his wife made Jenny want to see how he would react to his title of her husband. That would be something she would put to the test later today. For now she needed to get ready because the water park awaits! So, Jenny nodded, jumped out of bed and headed into the bedroom, while Jason ordered breakfast for the two of them. When Jenny got out of the bathroom and switched positions with Jason, she headed to her suitcase for a simple dress to wear over her bathing suit. She still hadn't gotten around to fully unpacking her suit case with all that had been going on. So, when she opened it the letter she had forgotten that was in there caught her eye.

That letter contained her vows for Jason and had been in her suitcase ever since the day before the wedding. Though they first planned to do personal vows during the wedding, at the last moment they decided against it. Wanting to keep some words just for the two of them. So, instead they decided to keep the words they had written and give them to each other as letters for their first year anniversary as a married couple. Because although this would be the second year of their relationship, they wanted to stick to one anniversary. One anniversary that would count as the most significant day of their relationship. Otherwise there would be so many days to celebrate, which would make the anniversaries less special instead of more special.

As a couple they decided that this would be their wedding anniversary. Giving Jason his birthday 'back' as a day to celebrate him and not them as a couple. Since they had such fun with the paper anniversary, they wanted to do it again during their first year as a married couple and give each other their vows as a gift. That way they would have a reminder of how they had felt about each other at that point on the day that they would be celebrating that very moment. It also served as a lifeline for them as a couple. For whenever they would be facing tough times in their relationship, they could take those letters out and remind themselves why they had loved each other so much at one point that they had once decided to get married. Which would hopefully take them back to that day and help them to make up, push through and grow even stronger!

Hello everyone! Yesterday was the birthday of someone who has always shown her support in the comment section, which has helped me along the way. Since I can't do much, other than write, I decided to release two chapters for today as a belated celebration in my own way o(*^▽^*)o

A big huray for Humaira_Jarjisa! I hope you had a great day yesterday :D
