Vacation mode

After the awkward start of the morning, Jenny and Jason hurried downstairs to have breakfast. Despite setting their alarm to a time that would allow them to take their time in the morning, their 'dragging' out of bed had taken longer than they had thought. In the end it had taken them an hour to get ready, leaving them little time to enjoy breakfast. They hurriedly ate a sandwich and lowered the temperature of their tea by adding some cold water to it. After rushing breakfast, they went to the East wing to say goodbye to Jason's parents and before they knew it, it was time to leave. They quickly boarded the car that was waiting for them in front and Jenny did a last check for the passports and tickets. After assuring herself that they had the most important things with them, Jenny relaxed and finally got into vacation mode. She was in the middle of looking up fun things in the area they would be staying, when she shot up in her seat, "Paolo!" Jason turned to her with a questioning look, when she clarified "I completely forgot to call Paolo."

In the end it was too late last night for her to call Paolo, so she decided she would postpone it till today. Due to her hectic start of the day, she had completely forgotten to do it this morning as well. She glanced at her watch and saw that it was around nine-thirty, which was an acceptable time to call someone in Jenny's eyes. Now that she remembered, she should do it now. In the end Jason hadn't given Paolo's number to her, so she held out her hand impatiently and said "Give me your phone, I will call him right now." Jason loved to tease her and so he responded with "Give me you phone ...? What's the magic word?". Jenny smiled forcibly until even her eyes had become squinted and tilted her head slightly to the side as she said "Please." She spoke these words through closed teeth and while pinching Jason in the leg. "Auch!" As Jason was half jokingly rubbing the place she had pinched him, she grabbed his phone from his pocket and looked for his contact information herself after teasing him back. "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought since you wanted a magic word, you must want a payment as well. Was that not the right way?" Jenny batted her lashes with a look of pure innocence. Jenny turned her eyes back to the screen of the phone she had obtained, which was asking her for a password. Lucky for her, Jason used her date of birth as his password, so she had no trouble getting in.

After finding Paolo's number, she pressed his name to call him and in less than two rings the call was answered. "Mr. Westwood, how can I help you today?" "Hi, Paolo, it's me. Jenny." "Oh miss Jenny, how come you are calling me using the young master's phone?" "Let's just say he doesn't like sharing with me, so I was forced to use other means to express my thanks for the work you did on my dress. It even better than before. Thank you so much and I will be sure to reward you for your efforts once I get back." "Oh don't even worry about it. Your call is thanks enough. I am glad you are satisfied with my work. This isn't exactly my field of expertise, but how could I not even try when you seemed to care so much about a dress I designed. Have a nice trip and keep me in mind for your next event." "Yes, I surely will!" With this their call ended and her thanks was expressed. Now she could place her full focus on their week away, turning to Jason and asking him about the villa they would be staying in and talking about their company.

"As I recall everyone coming along are couples, except for Nick. Won't he feel uncomfortable?" "Oh yeah, that reminds me. He had sent me a message yesterday asking if he could bring someone along as well. So he won't be alone either." "He is bringing someone? Who? That boy never ceases to amaze me. How long has it been since we decided to go on this trip. How did he manage to find someone willing to go with him in such a short amount of time." Jenny shook her head in disbelief as she said this. "Well he wouldn't tell me who, but I am sure he won't cause any trouble. He knows better than that. As long as we know he is bringing someone, the rest isn't really any of our business unless she causes trouble for the rest. It seems we have arrived." Jenny stopped thinking about Nick's date as they had arrived at the airport. They had agreed to meet up at the gate, except for Nick as he would take a flight later because he had some personal matters to attend to.

Everything at the airport when by smoothly. They were checked-in through a private counter and could pass customs through a private lane as well. This was all part of the service for the first class VIP tickets they had booked. Well, less booked and more received from George, whose father has a large amount of shares at this airline. By the time Jenny and Jason reached the gate it was only a few minutes till boarding, as one of the other perks was that they didn't have to be at the airport until one hour till boarding. They both got a complementary drink and joined their friends that were already waiting and chatting with a drink in hand. When the group was complete, the matter of Nick's date became the topic of conversation once more. They thought back to when they first invited him. Nick had agreed to come, despite everyone going being couples. He said not to worry about him, because he would be sure to find someone by then. Considering the effect he had on Jenny's friend in just a day, most of them had no doubt he was speaking the truth. However none of the group members expected him to actually pull it off. Nor did they know that him bringing a date would not be the biggest shock they would receive this trip.

After some chatting they were called to come to the front to start boarding. One by one they showed their tickets and entered the plane. Once they reached their seats, Jenny's jaw fell to the floor. She had never seen the first class cabin and what she saw was beyond her expectations. It had a bar, a kitchen and large sofa like seats that could be turned away for privacy or towards each other for company. They each took to their seats. Sophia, George, Harry and Julia turned their seats to face the other so they could start getting into the party mode. They ordered food and drinks and were chatting happily, whereas Jenny and Jason were sitting by themselves. They didn't mind they couldn't join the others. Considering the size of the seats, they would have easily fitted next to the if they had wanted to, but they were so tired the moment their bodies touched the really comfy seats they fell asleep in each others arms. When Julia turned to ask them if they wanted anything she found Jenny resting her head on Jason's chest and Jason resting his head on Jenny's head. "Pff, even when asleep, they are stuck to each other like magnets" Julia said before snapping their first vacation picture.

Another day, another chapter. They are off into the air. Enjoy and later today I will publish another chapter. If possible more than one :)
