Truce

Jenny sighed as she was getting tired from this fight, but didn't know how to end it without giving in. "I get what you are saying, but why can't you just trust me? Why am I the one who had to trust you when it came to you and Elizabeth, but when I am in a similar situation, I am again the one who has to make concessions? Why do I have to chose between my friendship and you? We are fighting over something that hasn't even happened yet and might never happen. I don't want our relationship to be the reason why I can't be friends with somebody, especially when I have made my feelings and status know to that person and they have proven to respect that."

Seeing as he couldn't reason with Jenny on this matter, Jason decided to go about it in another way. A very wrong way. "I was trying to be the bigger guy here and I even tried to let you see things from my perspective, but seeing that there is no convincing you let me just say that there is no way I am letting that guy anywhere near you other than what is needed for school. If you can't stay away from him, I will make him stay away from you."

Though his words were spoken out of anger, Jenny snapped before he could take them back. "You what?! So, just because you can't convince me with reason, you force me to agree with you with threats? You can't control me nor who comes in my life, in fact if you think you can, try and control this." With that Jenny walked out and slammed the door behind her. She rushed through the hall and down the stairs. Ignoring anyone and everyone she came across along the way, she walked out the door and grabbed one of the golf carts by the door. Having no intention of stopping or going back, she called Julia on her way to the gate asking her if she could spend the night at her house.

Feeling that they both needed some time to calm down, Jason didn't chase after her. Shortly after Jenny had walked out, he received a message from Julia saying that she had gotten an upset phone call from Jenny and that she didn't know what was going on between them, but that she didn't want him to worry so she wanted to let him know that Jenny would be sleeping over at her place tonight. Jason was lying in bed staring at the ceiling when he saw that message and he let out a deep sigh as he tried to figure out how to fix the mess that was caused by that pesky Max. From the moment he had entered their lives, he had caused nothing but trouble. Even now that they were barely more than classmates, he still managed to cause a fight between him and Jenny. Well him and his stupid temper. Running off with his mouth before he could think it over. Now that the damage was already done, he should take this time to get rid of that Max guy before he did even more damage. He took out his phone and called someone who had helped him before. "Hey, it's me. I need you to look into someone. Do you remember that Max kid I told you about, I need to know everything there is to know about him. More importantly anything that I can use to make him back off willingly."

The next morning Jenny came back to Westwood mansion in time to get ready for Jason's grandfather's birthday. Though she was still upset with him, she had worked too hard on making a good impression on him to let a stupid fight jeopardize that. She walked into their room and got out the dress she was planning to wear, she did her make up and fixed her hair. After that she started wrapping the gift. She had just finished when Jason came out the other room. She gave him a cold 'good morning' irking Jason, who had hoped that a night away could also make her see her own wrongdoings. "Well, well, look who managed to find her way back home. I was beginning to worry that you had gotten lost in more ways than one."

Jenny shot him a glare and said, "Oh stop it. I am in no mood to start fighting with you again. We both know that Julia told you where I was last night. Otherwise there would be no way that you would calmly go to bed without me."

Jason snorted, "It seems you haven't lost all sense of reason, just when it comes to who you can and cannot trust. Well at least there is one thing we can agree on, I am no mood to fight with you either. So, let's just try to get along for today. I don't want to ruin my grandfather's birthday. That annoying guy has ruined enough for one day."

"My idea exactly. There is no need to involve others into this. So at least for now, let's call it truce."

With that Jason too got dressed and they both headed downstairs where Susan and Stephen were already waiting. They could tell that something was up, but when they asked about it, they both said 'nothing'. Seeing as they didn't want to talk about it and wanted to pretend everything was fine, Susan and Stephen decided to drop it and let them resolve whatever was going on among themselves. Hopefully, they would be able to keep the act up till they were back home and won't create any trouble at the party today.
