Their mini vacation

From their little moment of passion in the office, Jenny and Jason headed outside to start the promised week of romance. With Charlie being in the care of Mary, who had come to visit along with Jenny's brothers, Jenny and Jason could leave for a few days alone without any worries as their little boy would be well taken care of. Since the summer holidays of her brothers had started as well and they hadn't been able to spend much time with their nephew, causing Charlie to act a bit distant with them when he had visited the Netherlands for the festival of breaking the fast, they didn't mind having some alone time with Charlie. Or at least time where his parents weren't around for him to escape to, allowing them to grow a bond with the little guy as well.

Jenny and Jason had decided to go to somewhere nearby for the occasion in order to not waste too much time traveling about. Another reason for this was so that they would be able to head home more easily if Charlie would unexpectedly act up or if something should happen to him. Though this was all unlikely and he was in the hands of the person who had raised her, this would allow both of them to fully focus on enjoying themselves and let go of any worries that might pop up from being away from their son for multiple days in a row. In fact, they had chosen to not stay at a hotel but to use one of the boats that belonged to the Westwood family, which were docked just twenty minutes away from the Westwood mansion. The boat provides housing, a good view and would allow them to travel around while enjoying the lovely summer air. They could visit different coastal regions, lie on the deck to get a tan, enjoy a swim all in the comfort of their own boat. Which sounded to both of them like the perfect way to spend their mini vacation!

When they arrived at the boat, the staff had just finished stocking the fridge and cabinets with food and drinks. Their pre-packed clothes had been brought over and unpacked as well. With everything having been put away in the large walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Though Jason had informed Jenny that they would be taking the smallest boat, as it would just be the two of them, when she saw the size of it she felt that any word associated with 'small' was an insult to it. Sure it was nothing in comparison with the boat she had been on with their classmates during their senior year at high school, with multiple rooms below deck and a Jacuzzi on the front part of the deck, she was shocked to find out that something this size could be considered the 'smallest' of anything.

After helping Jenny on board, he showed her around before telling her to make herself comfortable while he would get the boat ready to drive them off to destination number one, which was one of the private islands that their family owned. There they would not only have the comfort of their own boat but also the privacy of their own little beach. As Jenny got changed into her swimwear and lied down on a towel on the warm wooden deck, she let herself enjoy the refreshing gentle breeze and the smell of the sea. With the sun warming her body up till just the right temperature, Jenny felt all the stress and fatigue from the past week wash away from her body like one of the waves that occasionally crashed against the side of the boat. After a few minutes she was joined by Jason, who lied down next to her. While using her arm to shield her eyes from the brightness of the sun, she glances sideways. With squinted eyes she asked, "Is it fine for you to be here? Don't you need to stay in the control room to steer the boat?"

With an exhaled laughter Jason shook his head. "It is an automated boat. All I needed to do was put in some data and start it up. After giving it the coordinates and putting it on autopilot, the boat does the rest itself. I have an app on my phone that relays any error signals. So, unless this thing starts beeping, I can just sit here with you and enjoy the ride as the computer does all the work." With fascination Jenny listened to Jason's explanation. After he finished explaining she suddenly thought about how her brothers would enjoy a ride on a boat like this as well and how that would be a perfect way to thank them for watching Charlie for them. So, she asked Jason, "Does that mean you don't need a navigation license to drive a boat like this?" Jason shook his head, "No, unfortunately you always need that. Because if the computer malfunctions or you do get an error message, you need to know what to do and how to drive the boat manually if need be."

Seeing Jenny's disappointed expression Jason asked, "Why? Were you planning on leaving me behind once we get there? I warn you, I am a very good swimmer. If I have to, I'll even cross these treacherous waters to get to you. So, don't think about getting away from me just yet." Jenny let out an involuntary chuckle as she struck his chest with her arm. "No, silly. If I planned on ditching you, I wouldn't have gotten pregnant first."
