The spoken word

The busy times went by just as quickly as they had come and Jenny just finished her last exam along with plenty of her and Jason's friends. This signalled the end of the term and if all went well the end of the bachelor phase of their educational career. Another thing that would begin starting now, was their summer holidays. Meaning that Jenny and Jason would be having more time for each other and as a family, which would surely please their little mini prince at home. Who was as aloof as ever.

With Charlie almost being one years of age and still not speaking more than the occasional sounds he made to show his joy or dissatisfaction over a situation, he was showing his stubborn side extremely well. As long as life didn't force him to start talking and he could get the things he desired done without uttering a single word, he seemed to be determined to not make use of the spoken word. For Jenny however, who was quite done with waiting, her summer would serve as the perfect time to challenge her son and give herself a mission. Before his first birthday, which would be at the end of the summer break, she would have him say at least one word. That word of course being mommy. With his clear attachment towards her, she was sure there were ways to get him to start using that mouth of his for more than just eating and looking cute. Though she wouldn't force him, as she wanted him to start speaking when he was ready, she did plan on using the means at her disposal to at least encourage and stimulate him in doing so.

But FIRST, it was time for Jason to honour his promise. His two days had indeed been two days but she was at that point no longer in the luxury of spending her time on anything other than preparing for her tests. Since she wanted there to be no chance of her not passing her exams, she decided to postpone the fun times until after she had done her utmost to complete her bachelor's degree and enjoy summer without the stress of having to take re-exams. Now that her final test was done and she couldn't do anything other than wait for the results to come out, she was ready to play!

From campus she headed straight to the Westwood headquarters. In a high pace she made her way from the entrance, past the lobby and into the elevator. All the while having the image of her destination clear in sight. When the elevator doors opened and she heard the ping sound, her former fast pace started up again. As if she was in a race and the automated sound was the starting pistol at the tracks. Just as her feet landed on the marble floors of the top floor, the most suitable song started playing through the speakers. On the sound of 'One way or another' by Blondie, Jenny crossed the small distance from the elevator to Jason's office. Without looking in the direction of Jason's assistant, she responded to his words of "Mrs. Westwood, we weren't expecting you today. Mr. Westwood said that no one is to disturb him at the moment." without even slowing down. In a calm and collected voice she said, "He doesn't mean me. He never means me Ronald." Before she threw open the door to Jason's office.

Though one would expect Jason to be startled by such an action, especially if he was indeed so hard at work that he couldn't be disturbed, but Jason knew there was only one person brave enough to enter his office like that. It was the fierce feline he had expected, who had probably come her to claim a debt. Since he knew that Jenny had her final exam today and he knew what time the exam would end, he had been expecting her arrival since about half an hour ago accounting for her average test taking time and the distance from campus to his office. With a warm smile he looked up from his paperwork and watched as Jenny continued to approach him with eyes that seemed locked on a target.

When she had walked around his desk and was standing beside him, she grabbed the armrest with one hand and his tie with the other. In one swift movement, Jenny had turned Jason's chair around and had used his tie to pull him towards her, placing a long kiss on his lips. Showcasing her relatively rare 'taking the initiative' - moves. When she let go Jason said, "Well, hello to you too." His words were followed with a loud chuckle before Jenny took a seat on his lap. Playfully she asked him, "Did you miss me?" With a flirty look and a seductive smile he replied, "I always do." To which Jenny let out a soft laugh before looking back in his direction and asking, "Are you ready to leave? Because I came here to pick up a husband. If you take too long I am afraid that person won't be you."

With the same look on his face Jason retaliated his wife's words with his own countermove as he held her face by her chin and said, "It appears that this mouth of yours has become quite brave with its choice of words. It seems that I need to silence it completely in order for it to stop saying words its owner cannot afford to turn into action." After that he doubled down on Jenny's first move and gave her a kiss so deep in the privacy of the office no one else dared to enter without the owner's permission.
