The roles have been reversed

After having a time-plan for their expansion of the Westwood family, Jenny and Jason's lives returned to life as usual. Both being busy with the new term and Jason with his added responsibilities at work, they worked hard to make time for each other. They still had their little moment together at night but Jason had become more and more reluctant to wake her as he saw how tired she was from her classes and her assignments that he didn't want to disturb the few hours of sleep she had. He had gotten used to having less sleep but she wasn't and he didn't want her to get used to something like that to accommodate to his schedule. Causing them to have days where they didn't see each other at all. So, when they did have an opening in their schedules, they made sure to spend it with each other. Not wanting to lose contact with their friends, they also had made an agreement to see each other once a month. Everyone being responsible for hosting the get together in turns.

Today was one of those rare days where Jenny had a period off around noon and used it to go over to Jason's campus and have lunch with him. When she arrived at his building and spotted him, she noticed a thing she had noticed the past few times she had come here to visit him. It appeared that Jenny had ended up in the same situation where Jason had been during their high school days. Jason always had a hard time fighting off the flies that were buzzing around Jenny left and right but now the roles have been reversed. With two huge diamond rings the guys at Jenny's faculty didn't bother her as it was clear that she was taken and her doing better than them in classes wasn't helping their confidence either. But their wedding didn't seem to have had the same effect on Jason's appeal. His looks had never let him down and now he was showing off his skills studying for a double bachelors degree and succeeding at it as well. Top that off with his known position as the next CEO of Westwood International and current vice-president in training, had him attracting all kinds of females. And unlike her rings, his single gold wedding band wasn't scarring off anyone.

As she walked over to Jason who was working undisturbed by the eyes watching him and the woman who had taken a seat at his table trying to get his attention, she was wondering what had changed that had made so many women show such clear interest in him. Had the women at university become braver or had Jason lost some of his intimidating aura over the years? Or were they simply that charmed or impressed by him that they fought through their fears to approach him. When she reached his table she cleared her throat, causing both the girl and Jason to look up. With an intimidating glare of her own she shooed the girl away and took her seat across Jason. Seeing Jason's unsuspecting smile, Jenny dropped her head and let out a sigh. "What's wrong? What has you sighing the moment you sit down?" Jenny lifted her head and looked at Jason with a look of disbelief. "Did you really not notice the girl sitting across from you giving you googly eyes?" Jason lifted his brows, "Oh really? Was she? I was working on a paper and didn't notice her sitting there. It wasn't until I heard your voice that I looked up from my screen. If I had noticed her I would have told her to go away. Sorry about that."

Jenny let out another sigh. She wasn't looking for an apology. They were supposed to have a nice lunch together. She shouldn't waste their time together on a fight with no purpose or blame on either of them. In a way it was a good thing that he didn't even notice other females. This prevents them from getting any hope of something more being between them or having a shot at him. She should be happy that Jason was this faithful to her but his cluelessness of what was happening around him gave her a sense of worry. Jenny shook her head and grabbed Jason's hand over the table. "Don't worry about it. If you didn't notice her that is fine. Keep ignoring them and maybe they will stay away." After that short heated moment, Jenny and Jason went to the cafeteria to have lunch and chatted about their day. After that they went on a walk around campus before Jenny had to leave for her next class.

They were standing in front of the building, rocking each others hands from side to side in the cold air as they were both reluctant to say goodbye and neither of them wanting to let go of the other first. "You should go back inside, it is cold out here." Jenny said in an attempt to have Jason make the first move. "I will. I just want to stay like this for a few more minutes. If you are worried about me being cold, you are welcome to share some of your warmth with me." Jenny laughed at his cheesy comment and took a step forward to hug the shivering Jason, who had stubbornly walked out without his coat because he would only quickly walk her out before going back to work. After feeling his body warm up and blowing some warm air on his cold hands, Jenny gave Jason a kiss on her tip toes before doing what they were both avoiding, saying the word goodbye. She shooed him inside and turned around to wave him goodbye once more as she walked off, back to her own building and classes. On her walk back to the med department she made the plan to prepare a surprise dinner for Jason when she came home. They had deserved another romantic moment this week and this time she would provide it by bringing him a home cooked meal at the office. Visiting Westwood for the first time after their little ordeal with Jason's uncle and her act as a promiscuous gold digger.
