The ride back

"When do you fly back?" Jenny asked. "I haven't planned that yet. I was determined to leave after convincing you. Not knowing if that would take me one hour or one week, I decided to leave my return flight open. Why? Do you want to get rid of me already?" This time Jason was the one to slowly look up to Jenny's eyes. He found her with an arm on her side and an impatient look on her face. "Of course not! But the week has just started. You can't be missing any more school because of me. To ensure our plan can go ahead as promised, we have to do our best to make sure that time is free and can be spent without stress or worries about school. If I know that you are disregarding your schoolwork to free time to spend with me, it won't make me happy and will only make me worry about what your parents would think of the person who makes you behave like that. So, hurry and get up. I am taking you to the airport right now."

She left no room for discussion as she pulled Jason up from her bed and hurried him towards the stairs. Jason followed her wishes with silent protest and went to say good bye to her mother with Jenny's help. A real person beats a translation app any day. He left the house with a smile of what he had accomplished and looked forward to spending a forty minute bus ride alone with Jenny. Where they would have to sit next to each other and he could try to get some subtle body contact. He laughed internally with this prospect in mind. Last time Jenny took a cab, but that was because she was in a hurry. Now she could take the long route as Jason's flight time wasn't determined anyways. She felt bad already for having to have to send him away so soon. He had wasted no time to come to her, but now she was taking him on the ride back to the first flight possible. This after spending an hour together and without having him tasting her mother's excellent cooking skills. All that had to wait till their next visit. Right now her main focus, was getting him back to England before he got into trouble. Jenny had no idea that Susan was the principal of the school Jason was attending, nor that he was not what one would consider a good student. Skipping lessons was nothing new and no one would say anything or ask him any questions. She knew his parents weren't ordinary people, but she had never asked about their profession. These would be pieces of information she would learn about along the way.

Jason hadn't brought any luggage. He hoped he wouldn't need it and if he did, he would buy the necessities in the Netherlands. So in a matter of minutes they had reached the bus stop. In the time they were standing in the bus shelter, Jason was trying to close in the distance between them. He was even aiming to grab her hand, using the cold wind as an excuse. But before he could do that, Jenny put her hands in her pockets. So he was left with plan B. Standing as close as possible and trying to hold her hands again when they boarded the bus. Soon the bus arrived and they had to pick their seats. Jason hurried along as Jenny got them the right tickets. He picked skipped the four-seat spots without even glancing at them and hurried to the two seats next to each other at the far back. That way they would not only be forced to sit next to each other, but they would even have some privacy as the back of the bus was empty. He waved Jenny towards him as she was looking where her guest had sped off to. She laughed as she saw what he had done. He had deliberately not sat on the chairs nearby, as they were four individual seats across from one another. He was probably scared she would sit across from him instead of next to him. This made her pay more attention to his movements, while he was thinking he was being subtle. Jenny thought he was acting a bit weird at the bus stop, but she figured he was just cold and was trying to share a bit of body heat by standing closer to her. But his behavior in the bus was making everything clear. Time to tease him a little.
