The others

Another chuckle escaped from Jenny's mouth as she watched Jason "escape" into the bathroom. She turned down the sheets and got up. Jenny was an organized person, so she didn't mind the task she had been handed at all. She got into the zone in no time and didn't even notice Jason finishing in the bathroom and coming out. Even his questions were absentmindedly answered with a "Yeah.." "Uh hum" and other meaningless sounds. Professionally and efficiently Jenny gathered all the clothes on the bed. Separating the clean ones, from those they had worn. Folding them, stacking them and one by one placing them in the bags they had brought along in the best way possible. It had taken her about half an hour, but the job was done perfectly. With room to spare, in case they would find anything in town during their morning date. Letting out a final sigh, she ended her challenge and Jason's nightmare with an enthusiastic "Done!".

She turned and headed into the bathroom as well to get ready and after getting dressed, she packed the last items in the room. Finally noticing Jason had left before her, she went to find him. He had gone to start breakfast and had just walked out of the kitchen with two plates, when she walked out onto the patio. Jason looked at her with surprise, clearly not expecting her yet and placed the plates down on the table before turning his eyes to his watch. "That must be a record time. I thought you would need at least another fifteen minutes. I was just about to press some oranges and the toaster is still working on the toast. Why don't you sit down and I will be back in a jiffy." While enjoying a warm breakfast of sunny-side-up eggs, a salad and freshly made orange juice, they discussed their plans for today. They were almost finished eating, when the others trickled back home one by one. They joined them at the table, ready to tell the stories of their dates. The only ones that were still out and about, were the ones who had started their date adventure.

Sophia and George were the first to sit down and tell what they had done yesterday. They had rented a scooter and had gone for a ride by the shoreline and after that they had gone to visit a zoo, as Sophia loved nature and animals. This zoo was known for having a new baby crock and they would allow you to hold it. Sophia liked all small animals and George was sure that she would love to hold one, and he was right. Sophia's day had been made at that very moment and got even better once she saw where they would be sleeping. Though George hadn't been able to get a room in a large hotel, he did reserve a beautiful little cottage near the woods overlooking a large natural lake. The white stone walls, characteristic to this region of Spain, and the red baked tiles on the roof created a romantic, simple vision. He had picked this for it's beautiful view, especially the image that could be seen during sunrise. Sophia was the one telling the story of their date and she was telling everything with such detail that it felt like they were there with them. It was clear to everyone present that Sophia was very content with this improptu date. She continued as she told about the image they had seen early morning.

George and Sophia had woken up early in the morning and had walked out, covered by nothing more than the sheets that they had slept under. Huddled together, hidden from the morning chilliness by George's embrace, he and Sophia had opened the patio doors and walked onto the deck connected to the lake. The sky was slowly being colored orange-pink as the sun was coming up from behind the mountains. The colors were being spread over the lake, the light dancing on the small ripples of the water. Not a word had been lied in the reviews that had recommended this cottage. Despite having to wake so early, this image had been worth every hour of sleep they had missed out on. They had stood there until the sun was completely up and the day had fully started. Once they had seen every minute of the sunrise, they returned inside and dropped themselves on the comfortable bed. With a button by the side of the bed, George lowered the electronic sun-blocking screens, allowing them to catch some shut eye before they had to check out. These little details made the cottage a perfect mix of modern yet simplistic.

Now that their story was over, it was Harry and Julia's turn. Their date had been very successful as well, but had been completely different. Julia's day was filled with a boat ride over one of the large bodies of water that surrounded Spain. After some time spent tanning and enjoying the finer things in life, they got back to shore where Harry had planned to continue the feeling of a day of summer. He took her a festival nearby. It was the same festival that had provided the fireworks on Jenny and Jason's date, connecting their dates in a way. They spent the rest of the day visiting the different stalls, tasting the different foods and enjoying the lively atmosphere. It wasn't until late in the evening that they returned to their room. It was a high level room in one of the many hotels in that area. Harry had asked the hotel to decorate the room and boy had they delivered. They had decorated that room as if it was a honeymoon sweet or a brides room. Rose petals were scattered on the floor and a heart shape had been made with them on the bed they were supposed to sleep in. All around the stone tiled windows scented candles had been placed and a bottle of iced champagne had been placed on the nightstand. Even a chocolate fountain was placed in the room along with different fruits and snacks.

After telling about their dates, all eyes were directed at Jason and Jenny, waiting for them to tell the story of their date as well. But Jenny and Jason had no plans of doing that and instead got up and said "Well now that you are all back from your thoughtful, romantic dates, it's time for us to leave and have one of our own." Not looking back or explaining any further, they cleared their plates and left. Leaving everyone flabbergasted as they saw the images of their backs disappear.
