The office

Unexpectedly the working together at Jason's office was going very well. Now that he could finally show himself in the company, the office that had been empty and waiting for his arrival, finally received its occupant and what an office it was. It was beautiful and modern. Missing nothing that a good office should have and containing much more on top of it all. From the marble floor, to the all glass walls giving you a stunning view of the city, all the way to the dark oak table and the elegant back room that Jason could use if he needed to take a nap or shower, finishing off the refined and majestic look of the office. He had been cooped up in here for as many hours as he could be to make the merger with Westwood International go as smoothly as possible. To ensure that, he wanted to handle all of the paperwork himself as well as ensure the biggest profit they could achieve at their current level. This way they could enter strong and could rise even higher once the merger had been completed. Making sure that the competition he had left sitting in the dust when he was selected as a potential CEO and heir, remained there and had no chance at crawling back up.

In between him answering important calls and going about his usual typing away at his desktop computer, he would check up on Jenny's progress and he would answer any questions she had accumulated for him till that point. Though Jenny lost focus every now and again and felt the need to go over and cling onto Jason, whenever she looked at him hard at work, she fought the urge and turned back to her books. Feeling she should be working at least as hard as he was while she was in here taking up his valuable time. Making Jason work as a motivator to Jenny as well as being her tutor. All in all things were going very smoothly and before she knew it, the time for them to leave the office and head home for dinner had arrived.

"How was today? Were you able to make some progress?" Jason asked, as if suddenly second guessing if his solution had been the right one for both of them. Jenny quickly waved his doubts away and reassured him. "This was great. I was able to make loads of progress. I am certain that I have gotten more done than I would have if we had headed back home. There is only you to distract me here and since you yourself are focused and hard at work, I have no choice but to do the same." Jason smiled now that he was relieved. "I'm glad it turned into the win-win I was hoping for. So, I am assuming that this means you are fine with us continuing this till you are exam free?" Jenny nodded as they walked towards the car.

Though their day at the office had started a bit awkwardly as everyone was staring at her and soft whispers filled the halls they walked, these sounds were quietly hushed by Jason's assistant and right hand man. He informed them that Jason disliked gossip at the office, especially gossip about his private life and that they should get used to her presence at the company as she was his fiance. This had the right effect as they all enjoyed working at Jason's company and didn't want to lose their jobs over being too nosy. Those words quickly traveled through the entire office and by the time the elevator reached the floor where Jason's office was located, she was welcomed in respectful manner befitting the floor of the CEO.

As Jenny looked around she realized, he might not be the CEO of the Westwood empire yet, he sure was of this company. His presence had been enough from day one to make them accept him as the head of the company after he was able to reveal himself to his employees. The moment he did, he of course not only obtained their respect, but also their admiration as a person and in plenty of cases as a man. Not only was he so young and talented, he had dashing looks to top it all off. They had witnessed Jason's abilities back when he had fixed the mess that had occurred when a big investor stepped out. He had single handled fixed the backdoor in their software by logging onto the servers with his home computer and had done so in just a few hours. Not wanting to disappoint a person like that and wanting to remain in his good graces, the staff always made sure to not do anything he disliked. So, once they received word that upsetting the fiance of the CEO was equal to upsetting the CEO himself, everyone changed their actions accordingly. When they witnessed their interactions in person, it was clear that they had been desiring a position that could never be theirs. Including those that had convinced themselves at first that it was probably another political engagement, such as the ones they had seen at previous jobs or heard of from others.

By the time that the end of the week had arrived and Jenny had gone to the office with Jason for four days straight, their greetings to her had gone from just respectful to warm and welcoming. This had much to do with the effects that she seemed to have had on the mood and aura of their intimidating boss and with her own demeanor that was friendly to all. Making them warm up as well. She would chat with them when she needed a break and Jason was still busy, she would get Jason's assistant to get everyone lunch when she felt that they needed a pick me up, and even went to get them dinner herself when they had an important deadline coming up that was forcing them all to stay late. Now that the weekend was around the corner, she had even forced Jason to have lunch with everyone on his floor. Allowing them to get to know him on a more personal level and more importantly gave them a chance to have Jason notice them. A chance that they were certain they would have never gotten had it not been for Jenny.
