The new school year

The rest of the party went by in a flash and so had the rest of the weekend that had been standing in front of the first term of the new school year, their final year. It was now the morning of their first day back at school and Jenny and Jason were getting ready. Jenny had just finished putting on her school uniform and her new tie, when Jason walked in. "Hi.." Jenny said as she glanced over in his direction and what was revealed by his unbuttoned shirt. Jason got close to her and put his hand at the small of her back as he placed a kiss on her lips. "Hi to you as well."

He looked her up and down slowly and said, "It has been a long time since I have seen you wearing this. You really make that outfit look good". Jenny drew near and said, "Thanks." with a gentle smile. "Let me help you with that." She continued as she grabbed the tie that was resting on his shoulder and started tying it under Jason's gaze. Jason did not mind this helping hand at all. He had seen Jenny googling 'How to tie a tie' when they were in bed last night and had been hoping that this had been her intention for doing so. That is why he had purposefully walked out with his tie still untied and in hands reach, while he occupied himself with buttoning up his shirt. Luckily his hunch had been right. He watched her slender, delicate fingers try to tie a half-Windsor knot with a frown on her face and ultimate focus and the big smile that came when she succeeded. Though it took her much longer to complete the job when compared to Jason doing it himself, but it was worth every minute it took longer. He loved looking at these changes in her expression and chuckled at the joy that she derived from completing this task.

Jenny took a step back to watch the results of her hard labour and said, "I must say, this look suits you quite well. Emerald really is your colour." The ties at MH were striped, consisting of broad navy coloured stripes, with in between thin parallel white lines framing a third colour. The color in the middle, represented the year you were in. Last year the colour was red and now they had moved to emerald, as green in some symbolic languages means "good luck". So, it is like the school is wishing you luck every day of your final year so that you may pass and succeed as you head off to your new adventures.

While Jason straightened his collar and put on his jacket, Jenny looked at her man and couldn't help but stare. She loved a man in a suit and the male uniform wasn't far off. Jason really had the body and posture to complete the look, making him look dignified and charmingly handsome. Her mind drifted off for a moment as she thought how she should enjoy it while she still could. University doesn't have school uniforms, so she would only be able to see him dressed like this for formal parties and events during those years. When she imagined that, she thought to herself that she couldn't wait for him to start working so she could see him dressed up in a suit every day.

Jason usually would let her stare for a moment, because who doesn't like knowing your partner is still attracted to you and so attracted that they look at you subconsciously. Plus, when he catches her in the act, she gets self conscious and defensive like a kitten splashed by water, which gives him some easy entertainment. However, when he turned and used his signature phrase "Have you stared enough?", he didn't get the reaction he was expecting. Instead Jenny walked over confident and collected and said in a calm voice, "No, not really. But if we don't leave now, we'll be late for school". She gave him one of her badly executed winks and walked out of the room, without glancing back. Jason was quite perplexed by her flirty and confident reaction, but had to admit he quite liked it as well. It was quite thrilling to be on the other side of the flirty looks and teasing words. He loved how they were still discovering new sides of each other. As he walked out the room with a cocky smile and closed the door behind him, he looked forward to seeing more of this Jenny.

Once they were in the car on their way to MH, Jenny started to feel a bit nervous. She had been all confident when she was convincing Jason that them being in separate classes would be a good thing, but now that push had come to shove, she was getting inside her head. Jason could tell that she was nervous by her fidgeting with his fingers and by how silent she was being. He turned to her and saw her staring blankly ahead, when he asked, "Why are you being nervous?". Jenny did not respond as she was lost in her own thoughts. So, he squeezed her hand and asked again. "Jenny, babe, why are you being so nervous?" Jenny turned to him abruptly. Clearly not paying attention to him. "Hmm? What did you say?". "I asked why you are being so nervous?"

"I don't really know why, but all these scenarios keep popping inside my head. I see myself not getting along with anyone and being alienated in class. I see the teacher asking me a question and no matter how long I look at the board, it seems like jibberish and I can't figure out the answer. I even saw you slowly forgetting about me and me sitting at a table alone eating my sandwich." Jason sighed softly as he stroked Jenny's hair. "Where did all of this come from? You were fine just a few minutes ago. How did you get all these strange idea's inside your head you silly goose? Did you forget about Liz being in your class? Do you really think she will allow anyone to bully or alienate you? She would probably chew out that teacher's head for asking you a difficult question and would turn the whole situation into his mistake." Jason said with a chuckle. "And forget about me forgetting about you. That will never happen. Besides, we live together and we sleep in the same room. Even if I would forget, the reminder would come pretty soon after." They both chuckled at that point and Jenny said, "Yeah, you are right. Silliness runs in my blood. I must have temporarily lost my mind." She said with a chuckle. "Thanks for getting me out of that funk and right on time too." Jenny said as they drove up the Mountforth High driveway.

Here we are with today's chapter. The new year has finally started and it has quite some things for them in store!

I wish you all a good night and I will be back here tomorrow :D
