The locket

"Ay, ay, sir!" George said with a comical salute. With that the guys followed the groom to be to his room on the other side of the hall. It was a normal sized room with a regular sized bathroom. So, they would have to take turns getting ready. While two of them headed to the bathroom to fix their hair and shave, the other two went to get dressed. When they got the signal that they were done in the bathroom, they switched. With this efficient system in place, the guys were done with twenty minutes to spare. All they had to do was place a sign out front to lead the guests in the right direction, which would be done in a matter of seconds. Leaving them plenty of time to go to where the party would take place and relax till the guests would arrive. "Come, I think you will like what Lizzy has done with the place." When they got up to the party hall they all seemed impressed. As they made their way through, they expressed their words of praise. "Wow, this looks amazing Nick. I expected nothing less from a girl like Elizabeth." George said. Even Jason chimed in with an, "Indeed. She has outdone herself."

Back in the room where the girls were gathered, the final touches were being made to their make up and hair as a total of four people were there to get everyone ready. Elizabeth was already done and had left to put her dress on. She didn't want it to get dirty from the make up powders, so she had to leave that as the last step. Just when the other girls were finished up as well, Elizabeth came out of the side room and revealed her stunning bohemian style dress. It was a delicate, open backed, white, floor length dress, which looked great with her long legs. The V-shaped neckline and see through bodice with flower crochet, showed off her alluring side. All in all she was a true vision to behold and was dressed perfectly for the theme. "Oh Lizzy, you look absolutely wonderful!" Julia said when she found the words to say and the other girls quickly agreed. "I know. Thanks." Hearing this typical answer from the girl who lacked no confidence at all when it came to her looks, the girls couldn't help but laugh.

Elizabeth wasn't bothered by their laughing at all and said, "Are you girls done. I have something to give you." Though Elizabeth was talking about being done with their hair and make up, her words could be applied to the laughing as well. Making the girls collect themselves again. They now noticed the three three small boxes Elizabeth was holding in her hands. "What's that Liz?" Jenny asked as she pointed at them. "Well, I had something prepared for today. I hope you guys will like it and will wear it after the party as well. I came by this idea when I was looking for my accessories for today and I had to get them. She handed a box to each one of them and they opened them in turn. Sophia was the first to open hers and the first to respond. "I love it Lizzy, thank you. This is a day where we are supposed to give you a gift, instead you have given us something this wonderful." Julia gave her a big hug and even Jenny pushed past her own awkwardness and gave her a hug to express her thanks.

Elizabeth had prepared rose gold, floating, medallion lockets with a changeable inner coin. Right now the outer inscription said Nick ❤ Elizabeth and the locket held a coin that said bride to be or bridesmaids to be. For the wedding she had coins pressed with the inscription bride or bridesmaid. That way the locket could be her something old at her wedding and the girls would have something to remember this day by. The girls put on the lockets and they all went to the venue as well. When they walked in, their reactions were equally surprised as the guys. Though her party wasn't as extravagant as Jenny's had been, it was still a sight to behold.

Elizabeth had decided to give her party on the roof, where she had a party tent put up to shield them from any unexpected rain. But unlike normal party tents, this entire tent was transparent so they could enjoy the warmth of the sun and later the view of the night sky. Glass balls were hanging from the metal beams that were holding up the tent sheets. In each ball a lit candle was placed, which had a double function. Now it was meant to provide them warmth as the weather at this time of year wasn't exactly warm. So, to create the illusion of summer, they could use all the warmth they could get. And at night it would function as the lights. White chairs chairs were placed around glass tables filled with sand and decorated with sea shells. A long table at the front of the venue was decorated with a large arch, made with the same flowers that had been put in the hair of the girls. This was where the happy couple would sit, with their bridesmaids and groomsmen to be and their parents. Elizabeth had requested a sand path to be made, going up to the table because she enjoyed walking on sand with her bare feat. Drinks were served with a layer of brown sugar around the rim of the glass and even the barmen were dressed according to her theme.

The girls joined the guys who were already sitting at one of the outside tables, enjoying a refreshing drink. The guys seemed to like the looks that Elizabeth had thought of for the girls and Nick was certainly in awe of how Elizabeth was looking for today's party. Now that their group was complete, they enjoyed a relaxing moment until the other guests would be coming in, which would be any moment now. Elizabeth had asked her parents, who were welcoming the guests at the entrance along with Nick's parents, to inform them when the first guest had boarded the elevator. So, until then they had nothing to worry about. Once the guests were here, Nick and Elizabeth would sneak out of the side entrance to go to their room to wait for their grand entrance and the others would stand in lines on each side of the sand path to welcome and greet the guests once more and if necessary help them to their tables. The girls had barely sat down and taken a sip from their drinks when the signal was given that the first guests were on their way up and it was show time!
