The Ice Castle

Finally Saturday had come and it was the day of the engagement party. The party would start out in the afternoon in the garden of one of the prestigious hotels of the Westwoods and later it would continue inside one of the largest halls of the hotel. The guests were slowly arriving and getting excited of what was to come. Just the pre-party alone was amazing. A large tent had been set up and multiple stands had been built around the tables with each of them containing other foods with another theme. The food was being freshly prepared and each of the dishes were a sight to see. The chefs that were hired were the best of the best and gave off a show as they prepared the food. Over twenty servers were bringing foods and drinks all around the premises for those who chose to sit or walk about. A string quartet was playing live music, setting the mood for the pre-party. The main event, which everyone was speculating about, would be held in a hall called "The Ice Castle". According to the rumors this hall was stunning and it had been redesigned for Jenny and Jason's engagement. The person in charge for this redesign was none other than Susan!

Susan had put her heart and soul into the design of this hall. She had begun her designs with thinking of a theme for the venue and figured what better for a devil with a fiery temper than an ice princess. Once she had picked her theme, she met with different designers from all over the world to make sure that this hall would be the most beautiful hall people had ever seen. She had started working on this venue from the moment she had heard that Jenny had said yes. She planned it out till the tiniest detail all showcasing her impeccable style. None of the parties involved were allowed to expose any information about the venue until the engagement party had passed, so everyone was dying to know what a hall worthy of a Westwood engagement would look like. In the past their parties had always been grand. They were magnificent, elegant and would often be considered the party of the year. This was all due to the influences of Susan, who had always had a knack for party planning and had kept it as a hobby for occasions such as this. She had an eye for detail which would leave most people in awe. Her designs felt like if you had spent three days in that same venue at that same party, you still wouldn't have discovered all that had been created for that single night. And this time too Susan would not disappoint.

The hall was beautiful from the ceiling to the floor, from the walls to the windows. Every inch and corner had been inspected and had been taken into consideration when designing the interior. From the large chandelier above the dance floor, the thin snow covered trees containing small white lights that were forming the pathway to the center stage, the curtains decorating the floor to ceiling high windows, all of it looked like they had been made out of ice, crystals and diamonds. The rest of the ceiling contained small crystals, which didn't seem all that impressive when the lights were on, but would create a beautiful twinkling night sky effect when the lights were turned off. The back wall of the room looked like an ice sculpture was turned into a waterfall like fountain. All the details put together made it feel like you had entered a fairy tale. Upon closer inspection the illusion continued. Each table was handcrafted and contained a snowflake carved into the glass. Just like in real life, where no two snowflakes are the same, so were the chosen patterns for the tables. The bottom of all the glasses filled with drinks all contained different kinds of rare crystals that contained a blue element, making every drink have a blue, icy glow.

The centerpieces were also part of the table. In the center of each snowflake a bowl like shape was made into the table. They had been filled with water and in each of them small white lotus shaped tea lights and the rare skeleton flower were floating. Due to being in contact with water, the flowers had become transparent as if made from glass. These tables looked majestic and everything was thought of. Due to the design of the table, none of the elements got lost by the presence of another. Even in the bathroom sinks the theme was continued as the sink was made entirely out of Swarovski crystals, sparkling in different colors of the rainbow due to the reflection of the light. The bathrooms contained a skylight to allow people to see the effect on the sinks under natural light and give them a chance to gaze upon the stars at night. The faucets were made out of glass, so you could see the water flowing through it before it came pouring out. If done improperly this could have become really tacky, but Susan had truly managed to turn this into a castle made of ice. As the guest were getting excited to gain entrance to this uniquely remodeled hall, which would be closed off for guests after tonight, Jason and Jenny were still getting ready in a room inside the hotel. As the guests of honor they weren't supposed to come until it was time for the grand entrance. The time was ticking and soon all would be revealed. As tonight was not only the night for Jenny and Jason to hold their engagement party, but was also the day that Jenny's plan for Julia would be set into motion!

This was crazy hard. I have this beautiful image in mind, but to put it into words, without ruining it, was so difficult. I hope all of you have enough imagination to see what I see XD. This weekend I will continue writing and I might update this chapter once more?. For now I wish you a good night and I hope you enjoy!
